Felicia travelling from country to country just to harass you into doing some modelling with her is the funniest thing i've ever seen
😂 omg!
I NEED HER HAIR I wish you could get it
"hEy yOu wAnNa dO sOmE mOdElInG wItH mE?!"
“I just think our inner children need to get better standards.” GIRL YES👏
Sasha saying “girl you just made that up” was the only thing I would pay 40$ for
It feels like the Bratz brand is having a bit of an identity crisis. On the one hand, their social media and collector dolls are aiming themselves at older fans who grew up with the original dolls, but then they release this game made by a studio specialising in baby games.
Even with thier adult-oriented collector dolls, they’re designed by famous designers as opposed to the designers at MGA. So they haven’t been able to forge their own new identity thus far.
I just hope MGA gives us more original stuff from the designers and are able to commit to marketing Bratz as an adult collector doll line.
Literally this 😫 they even recreated a scene from Euphoria this week and my mind can’t understand who or what they’re trying to focus on because each area of their brand is focused on a different demographic 😕
They haven't really pinpointed which audience is more profitable even though adults are the ones who buy the dolls, make up collaborations, dolls kill clothing, and the game itself. Bratz is a purely nostalgic brand now and that means that most kids today don't know or follow the brand enough for them to be the target audience like we used to be.
@@hannahmontana9950 alright now Hannah
I’m 12 and absolutely love love love bratz dolls and shows!! So I would love for them to have an adult audience while also being able to sell to kids like me who love them!
@@A.Legend.In.The.Making I’d prefer the Bratz brand to gear more to adult collectors, but I think going for a sort of pg-13 vibe could also work and provide a good middle ground. Being accessible to the older kid or tween kids while still being able to take risks and appeal to adult collectors.
i think the WORST part of this game is the fact that it’s music is ONLY instrumental. nothing else. like the music from bratz is a huge nostalgic factor for bratz fans and they let them down leaving it out
Aly And Aj CARRIED
yes omg I still get Livin' it up stuck in my head to this day 😆
Me alone at midnight:
...
Felicia: Wanna do some modeling with me?🙂
Bratz as a brand is in such a weird place. Like obviously they’re mostly appealing to adults but they are pushing their repros in toy aisles. But that’s like… all the kid focus they’re doing. Who knows if that’ll ever shift to a new playline or if they’ll keep to their “repro two lines a year” thing they’ve done for this year and last.
Are they trying to do a Disney with Bratz? it's odd to me, too. Kids are definitely playing with them. Will this game find success with children? This is all rhetorical of course. 😹
They're pushing repros in toy aisles because of the fans complaining about not being able to access the dolls online in time and the fans have been begging to see the dolls on shelves again. But they ruined the reputation of Bratz by going the adult route. Retailers now see the brand as a risk, and the retailers care what parents think. Issac Larian also didn't really invest in this comeback before releasing dolls and let fan photographers like Mar the Cantos take over the social media as an independent worker. All the workers have been working freelance or independently. He hopped on when Bratz were going viral briefly and tried to rush to meet demand, not really investing in the brand prior to make sure the comeback would be strong. There's not much money that can come from adult fans believe it or not, so it's obvious Larian doesn't care to truly invest, allowing the brand to fall down the slippery slope of being an "adult brand" so he can get whatever juice he can from the brand before sending Bratz back to the archive. Granted, Bratz is still kind of a litigation risk for him, so possibly he doesn't want to deal with court issues anymore. I heard Carter Bryant is still trying to win his dolls back from the company. That's a huge financial risk for any company. Mattel balances adult collectors editions with playlines, but they are careful with their adult collector content because of the overlap. The problem is the demand is coming from two different angles. Fans want adult dolls, but some fans also want to see the dolls on shelves again and don't realize they can't have both. Watch this video:
czcams.com/video/fzib5yoyMZY/video.html
also them choosing to work with kylie jenner lately was so out of the blue. they don’t seem to care much about bratz because they chose someone who barely knew about bratz for a collab. idk like i was so excited when they started marketing to young adults bc i grew up with bratz but now they kinda seem to not give a shit
I was an avid player of so many girly games as a kid, and many were poor quality in the same way you have described the most recent Bratz game. It's frustrating that in 20 years, the western market still has not realized that girls love to game and deserve quality games... On a side note, I love how you do these style of videos on camera now. It's so fun to look at all the dolls in the background.
They really should’ve gave it their all to make this game look good. I mean… it definitely looks better than previous games like Forever Diamonds, but the models and scenery look like how they did in the tv shows, which already looked low budget and only emphasized the hair on the girls. This is a 2022 fashion game on the Switch for old-time fans, it shouldn’t look like how Toy Story 1 looked back in the day. 😂 God…
It's interesting how little effort companies put into making games geared towards girls compared to more unisex and "masculine" games. I know a lot of girls aren't interested in video games but it's such an untapped market. Imagine how much video game culture would improve if we introduced video games to more girls. The reason girls don't play games is because they're always marketed towards boys and men and that's why the whole community is overall sexist.
We need more girls and women going into coding and game dev!!
@@ebebebeb7283 big agree!! I am an indie developer and artist, but it’s SO HARD for women to enter the mainstream industry!
@@trashpanda3544
Nah mate even when video games are heavily marketed and geared toward men and boys, a LOT of women like to play video games. It's just alot of women are quiet about it since they usually get harassed and or made fun of for their choice in games from men. It's really sad still, even though I'm not a woman and even though games like this aren't my forte it really sucks that games for women are such a neglected market. We really do need better standards and or more women in the game designing field so they can have a chance into making great games.
A cozy stardew valley type “instagram” game with dating could’ve really worked if they were actually invested in a concept for a game but they seem to be confused on their demographic
"was it a good game? No.
BUT did I have fun playing it?......... Also no."
You almost had me there 😭
It's sad that they're just making a quick moneygrab because of nostalgia. I'm glad I didn't even intend on buying it, because this was so sad to watch :((
A smarter money grab would just to remaster the old game and rerelease it
@@napoleoncontreras4184 They would ruin it anyway
I completely understand his point but I will say I did have fun
I got it for 20 bucks but I want my money back lol
Lmao
It's a shame they didn't use the citizen characters as an opportunity to slip in some minor characters as cameos. At least we got Raya and the start of Felicia's inevitable Joker arc 🤷🏻♀
i hope theres more coming, they have so many options with the empty shops in stilesville, and burdine????? a bratz game without the tweevils is literally a crime. but fr 70$ for a game i fully completed in five hours is a breach of my consumer rights
I kept expecting to at least see a poster with Burdine on it or someone to mention Your Thing magazine, but I'm actually shocked it never came up.
@@DarlingDollz And Cameron is missing?? I thought he was gunna appear at the X games
Yes!! Oh my god the number of empty shops killed me. Like, in the OG games they had card-matching games for the ones that weren't shops. Why couldn't they put in fun mini-games like that?? So, many were just left with no purpose and it made the map MUCH less fun to run around in.
Games with no camera control are the bane of my existence! It seems like the new Bratz game is a downgrade from the original games, to say the least. I had Rock Angelz and Forever Diamondz on the GameCube, and they were absolutely my childhood 😭 Like you, I still replay them when I get tired of battle for bikini bottom or luigi's mansion
Edit: It's especially disappointing to me that you can only play as one girl at a time in this game. My favorite thing to do in the original is coordinate everyone's outfits, makeup, and hair, and it sucks that that isn't an option this time.
Considering there's only 3 areas with the option to change clothes, you couldn't even put together a full outfit for all 4 girls in one playthrough 😣
Ugh and the fact you can't paint on their face!!! And what about the glitchy eye twitching when painting the left eye!!! 😭 So not the same
i’ll never understand why they didn’t just remaster their original games. would’ve been a much better investment.
I had RA and FD for gamecube too and I played them for hours and hours on end when I was a kid. Ah good times 😭
Same!
SO I WASNT THE ONLY ONE WHO SAW THE PRICE AND WENT 👁👄👁
As someone who designs and programs games as a hobby, a lot of this could have easily been fixed. The mistakes and boring designs made are more juvenile than anything, and if the company who made them makes video games at all, they either hired really really novice level designers or, what's more likely, they just didn't care. It's really easy to fix.
I burst out laughing when I saw this title. As soon as I saw the trailer for this I knew it was gonna be terrible, which is such a shame cause the Bratz PS2 games owned my SOUL as a child and I wanted something like that.
Same. Big same.
Every time you do a face video I KNOW you're doing it to make me jealous of your wardrobe. Jesus. That sylveon crewneck... I'm obsessed.
Sylveon is a queen
I need a link! I need to buy!
and all the colors he wears look so good on him!
I need his wardrobe lol
@@Speederzzz pokemon center, but they're definitely sold out by now!
Felicia is coming for Jade's neck with that green makeup ✋😭
"I could've almost afforded one pair of bratz shoes off of ebay" LMFAOO
I think it's also that when companies commission "kids games" they typically make them on a shoestring budget because they know it doesn't matter - parents will buy it regardless, so they're made cheap to maximise profit. The developer doesn't get enough time or budget to really care about the project. A new Bratz game had so much potential and so many cool ideas from previous games they could've updated and expanded on, and there is so much potential to be had in the design and variety of the environments when travelling between different countries. It's absolutely bizarre how the PS2 games from almost 20 years ago have better design, controls... and even smoother animations and framerates. Kids deserve better quality media!
But Bratz is supposedly not for kids anymore, as the "social media" keeps emphasizing. There seems to be a disconnect between the company and the fans hired to run the official social media accounts.
@@GenerationNextNextNext I agree, but regardless, it was probably still planned/pitched as a kids' game, and the same design philosophy likely applies - parents will still be buying it and in the UK at least its still primarily stocked by toy stores.
This game left me so sad and reminded me that nostalgia is an unfairly powerful marketing tool.
The spongebob reference as a title 🤣🤣
I’m so glad to find someone who enjoyed the old “girly” games and respects them as games. I wish more people would understand that games marketed towards girls deserve love and effort, so stuff like Flaunt Your Fashion doesn’t happen. With the Bratz trying for a revival, it just feels like they wanted to cash in on the nostalgia wave without doing any effort to produce something of quality :/
Rule of Rose!! Glad someone else knows about that game, it's so wonderfully depressing ❤️
It's one of those games that really sticks with you for years and years. I'd love to own a physical copy someday, but...
I'm certain someone could make a pretty awesome doll line out of that game
@𝑑𝑜𝑙𝑙 ⋆˚⸝⸝ Emulation is your best bet, though it might require a decent amount of computer power to run smoothly
Best story, worst gameplay. We NEED a remasteritation of RoR so bad.
Felicia following you around the world to get you to model is hilarious i will say
It's just wild to me thinking how much you could do in the ps2 games....take pictures in the photo booth, the pet show, designing clothes, the astrology sign photo hunt that goes on for like the entirety of rock angelz, the music, ice skating, the sneaking around quests (lol), like there was SO MUCH to do and this game really looks and feels empty. Also new york in Forever Diamondz was my favorite location because of the ice skating and the winter outfits and to see this game not even try with new york is so...ugh...
I can think of a million things that could've been implemented to make the game more interesting and fun, but it doesn't matter how many ideas there are if the developers aren't cut out to develop a game that isn't for young children. Really sucks because if they added new clothes and the game did well, mga could've released the first non repro/collectors line called flaunt your fashion with styles from the game. Missed opportunity.
You genuinely just saved me $50 CAD. I was convinced that I was going to buy it the next time I had the chance (I preordered it), but I thankfully saw this review a mere day before I was going to pick it up. Thank you!!!
everything you said is 10000%. I was hoping for modern day Rock Angelz. I hated that it didnt even have a story, just felt like a million fetch quests with an occasional water gun fight
I wonder why they wouldn’t put a romance system in a game like this. It’s a mechanic that’s huge in successful cozy games and adds alot of depth.
I hate romantic games, as someone aromantic and ace.
@@GenerationNextNextNext what if they just added it as a an option that you dont have to engage in
kind of like a side quest
@@GenerationNextNextNext unless you’re playing a dating sim life sims don’t FORCE you to romance anyone. Why restrict what other people want when you could just not participate in that.
@@GenerationNextNextNext 9 times out of 10 games with romance features are completely optional for the player to decide if they want that, unless it's something like an otome game where the whole objective is to get into a relationship. I really don't get your argument! Adding an optional romance system doesn't hurt anyone.
Im pretty sure the older games even had some romance references in it as well. Idk if my brain is making shit up to mess with me, but I could've sworn there was a side quest in one of the older games where you just straight up stalk someone. I don't remember exactly why other than it was romance related, like the dude was seeing some girl and you had to take pictures of them together in the park (undetected ofc).
the fact that there's no curly hair option in the game while a big part of bratz's brand is diversity sucks.
The little quest with Felicia wanting specific make up and specific outfits but then we turn out ugly bc nothing matches. I hate it
It was a money grab. They knew their adult fans would buy it bc of nostalgia. Of course children would like it, it's colorful and they don't exactly have the capacity to understand the game as it is; they just enjoy it. They're kids after all
I've given up on the Bratz Reboot. It's all for the money at this point. I doubt that there is ANYONE on the team who actually grew up with Bratz and loved the Bratz franchise. There's NO passion whatsoever.
Between their awful doll defects, to the lack of a show, to the overly expensive clothing. Some of the clothing art you find at walmart or Hot Topic is ugly too imo, they slapped their logo on everything, making it look cheap.
Not to mention the unbelievably expensive clothes are the ONLY good looking ones but out of ALL the stores the could have chose they picked Dolls Kill.
I have to agree, honestly. They put out so many products that are sure to be well-received by people who only have a passing nostalgia for bratz- which is fine on most levels, but there's really no love for the collector's community or the active fans who have helped keep the brand alive.
@@DarlingDollz Exactly. I genuinely feel like they're playing with our feelings. They've definitely used some characters and aspects of the franchise for brownie points too. It's such a shame 😔
I know Bratz is still part of MGA, so my money will all go to the same place LOL But I'm really gravitating more towards Rainbow High these days.
Tbh im mixed cause i do like the reproducation as you get to buy them for a cheaper price then what theyd sell for second hand and unlike mh their far more easier to find in stores, i seen quite alot of reproducations of rock angels and the first dolls in stores
But i do wish we’d get more new dolls that arent callebs or repo and yknow an actual show!!! I wont mind having a more mature cartoon of bratz following them as adults now
@@lunarlionlilith ironically i always saw Doll lines like OMG as what bratz should have been only yknow-for an older audience
Even the catoon gives me strong morden verison of the bratz cartoon
Felicia: Do you wanna do some modeling?
Me: Go away Felicia
Felicia: O.K. byeeee...
There should be a modding community for this game that adds more to the experience since we know the devs aint touchin it again
omg i was WAITING for you to say something about the last area having nowhere to do hair and makeup, it was so annoying! Like they hyped up this big fashion event as being the biggest event in the industry, then there wasn't even an apartment for the gals to get ready. I'd been strutting around Seoul in a really rocky alternative look, so my makeup was dark and vampy, but when I got to NYC, the game automatically switched me back to Jade's default outfit but kept the dark makeup and it was soooo badly mismatched. Didn't feel very passion4fashion to be at such a big fashion event looking like an absolute shambles haha. Also, why was the biggest fashion event of the year literally only attended by like 10 people, most of who were just the Bratz friends who mysteriously appeared from Stilesville? Feels like they got to the last section and copped out. I had fun playing because I love the visuals and the brand but you're right, it's wayyyyy overpriced for what it is. Also..............the fixed camera angle. omg. no thank you
I wouldn’t be as mad if the quality was better. I feel like after this many years they should be able to make a more high-quality game I’m grateful for the nostalgia but I wish they would’ve done it better and I wish that there was just more options for things. The brats rock Angels game will always be in my heart and I hope they remastery or make something similar because that was an iconic game and I used to have it on GameCube
Also why can’t I look around I can’t move the camera at all which kind of sucks cause I can’t see anything
Definitely agree that the Bratz and our inner child deserve more. I don’t think I saw one good review of this game but I still got excited when I heard about it. For a fun fashion game, I’m holding out for Fashion Savvy. I played it’s DS game and loved it and there’s supposed to be one coming out next year in March.
omg if there's a new style savvy game in 2023 i'll actually be so happy!!!!!!! where did u find out about this rumour??
@@verynotunique I’m just a fan and went down a rabbit hole one day and found mention of it on a website called Fandom. It’s a wiki like website for games and other fandoms. The game’s full title is Fashion Savvy: Fashion Famous. You can find pictures of the case the game will come in.
The style savvy games are what the Bratz remake wishes they were. I played one of the 3DS ones a few years ago and it was brilliant!
@@chileanyways4517 I completely agree! Lol.
"she ended up looking like ebony darkness ravenway" XD

Style savvy series was the best fashion game series. Styling star was the best in the series. I wish they remade it on the switch even if it was a pure remake I'd eat it up. I'm sure A lot of people would. They don't make fashion games like they used too. Also I love your sweater. My switch is that color.
OMG I still have my ds and style savvy best game ever!
Literally came here to say this! I've played hundreds of hours of every 3DS Style Savvy title and *always* hope and pray with every Nintendo Direct we'll get a Switch title or ports. 😭
honestly this game reminded me of no-budget girly mobile games, which is crazy because it costs 40 whole dollars. with that price you could maybe get two or three better games for your switch!
I was excited albeit skeptical when it was first announced. I never played the OG games, but I can say that they have aged well, especially comparing them to this game.
Also, I still can’t get over the title of this video 😂
honestly thank you for saving me $40. i grew up playing bratz games and i was really hoping it was like a remake, but it was a completely different game that is… pretty bad. but like omg thank u 💀
LMAOOOO "our inner children need to get better standards" is so FUNNY ur right thats why i play the older games!!!!
For the Twevils to not be in the game is a total bust of possible real conflict. I was definitely planning on getting this game too, but I’ll just rebuy the original ones.
The game is not blurry or pixelated at all on the Steam version. At least it wasn't for me. I agree with every single one of your points. It was refreshing to see a Bratz game back on the market, but I was really let down. Everything just felt so devoid of detail. It took me 6 hours total to complete and that was only because I was achievement hunting. I wrote a review on Steam about it and I think the number one problem I have with it is that it's hard to tell which demographic is for, like you mentioned. Like the simplicity in the mini games and customization seems like it would be for very young children, but there are references for the older crew too. It's such a weird blend. Least they could have done was make it for a E 10+ audience or maybe even a teen audience with better mini games, more "grown" conversation, and more detail.
I was obsessed with the Bratz ps2 games and this game broke my heart.. where was Cameron? Where was Burdine and the Tweevils? Where was Thrills with Frills? Rock Out? Funky Fashion? City Looks? The town didn’t even look like Stilesville and I hated that you couldn’t swap between the girls😔
i hope this doesnt sound creepy but i love learning new things about you!! you just seem really genuine and cool 😭 i wouldve never guessed that you liked video games as much as you did but the more i think about it the more it makes sense :,) i love ur channel keep it up!! 💕
As soon as I saw people (adults!) being like ‘omg there’s a new Bratz game coming out my childhood 😭😭’ on Twitter and tiktok I was just like guys…. Be real. Adjust your expectations, It’s gonna be awful, the days of PS2 where licensed games were a big deal and Bratz as a brand was at the top of its game with tons of money pumped into it are long gone!
LMAO THE MENTION OF MY IMMORTAL THREW ME OFF SO MUCH HAHA. 😂
"Same!" I scream shyly
Sonic Frontiers, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet are quacking in fear after Bratz the Game snatched their wigs
The second I started following you on twitter I was so stoked that you play all the same games as I do, I don't know why it's always a cool feeling.
The drama of the title means this is going to be a good one
Me: It did?
Darling Dollz: No, but are we going to wait around until it does?!
Spongebob reference
Honestly at this point I’m so disappointed with the gaming market for girls (not that the bratz game aren’t for everyone tho) right now. It seems like they put the most minimal effort in something that can definitely be just as compelling as shooter or rpg games. But since it has the typical stereotypes of what girls enjoy they think they can just shart out something task oriented with a little customization & call it a day. They could have done SO much more with this & still kept that nostalgic feeling of the older games. It really just seems like we are an afterthought to the gaming market:/
One thing I kind of noticed recently is that a lot of what I like in games is almost like playing with dolls. Dressing characters up, and play a character how I want. But it feels like too few games really focus on that in any good way. Most of the better games especially can't look cute, or really feminine.
What I don’t understand is why they made it a game intended for children when the brand itself is marketing towards an older crowd not to mention that they’re not even producing play line dolls anymore…
It's kind of a downer that Burdine and the Tweevils don't get to make an appearance.
I used to spend so long making their makeup look cute, trying to blend with the ps2 controller omg. How did they make the makeup system clunkier looking?? And shopping is like, core to the game, there should be tonsss more clothes. Its giving mobile game but "haha we charged you $40." Maybe someday they'll get the fleshed out game they deserve, I love my gurlz 😭💖
the way i never collected dolls really but always was fascinated by them from a distance... i bought my first Barbie last year at age 28 but watch your videos constantly and it always seems like we always like a loooot of the same anime / cartoons / video games. i feel like in an alternate universe we were friends or siblings or something like that lol
Darling, I was SCREAMING at this review. You are so funny.
Subbed less than minute in because the taste is truly ✨impeccable✨
I think what would make a perfect Bratz game would be something similar to the Sims mixed with quests and adventures. Girly games deserve so much more.
Thank you for your honest review, I was so looking forward to buying it as well. such a shame for a 4-5 hour game to having such a high price point
Her running animation and actual speed are insulting
Are you telling me they gave you a dead mall and no mission to revive it?
Differences they made for no reason
Less clothing options
No way to swap between girls once you have chosen one
Music was so much better and you were able to change the songs
The is no option for jewellery in this game
The 3d word was so much better when it wasn't top down view
The make-up looked a lot better with more options for customisation
More collectable coins and tokens
No ice skating
No phone customisation
No arrow pointing you to the quests
i’m glad you posted this bc i really wanted to buy it but it looked very baby like aksjaks which is so crazy bc what babies are playing a bratz game nowadays their fan base is obvi full of adults
our childhood selfs needs better standards !!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
7:40 this joke is underrated omfg I was not ready for this reference 😂😂
thank you so much for the review!! I loved to play Forever Diamondz on the GBA when I was little and although it was a heck of a slow game I loved all the minigames and stuff it offered, spent so much time playing it. I really hope they bring better quality to the games in the future, especially with the customization options. Would be cool to see more minigames as well.
It was the same game for me! Actually the only bratz thing I owned
Bratz is definitely an adult brand now. Children of today think the dolls are ugly or weird.
Not all. I don't.
I have a 2 year old niece who loves them
They need to do a better job of differentiating that they're adult collector oriented, imo their branding right now is so confusing.
yeah i babysit two little girls aged 6 and 8 and they’ve never mentioned Bratz to me. i don’t think Bratz will ever reach the level that they once had because of the LOL dolls that MGA released. they’re basically a knock-off version of the Bratz but they came in at a time when little girls needed new dolls to play with so i think they became the new alternative to Barbie. i’m shocked that parents are okay with LOL dolls but had a heart attack when they saw Bratz because… LOL dolls aren’t the most age-appropriate in my opinion. i never saw a problem with the way Bratz looked or dressed but the LOL dolls are a little too much for my liking.
@@crab2195 Agreed I mean i think some of the OMG dolls have excellent designs in fact I think most of them do but does excellent always mean appropriate? Definitely not. You definitely have to be careful when buying those dolls for children.
I was also someone that grew up on the Bratz games (I played them on GameCube and not PS2 but from what I know - the PS2 and GameCube games played about the same - it was just the GBA ones that played differently) and when I saw that this game was coming out I knew I had to get it because of the nostalgia and paid full price to get it day one - I also got it on the switch.
Though I actually found myself enjoying it! I did pick up on the issues that you also pointed out - and while I still think the older games are better, I don't feel as bad about paying for it. I expected it to be similar to gameplay to the older games and that was what I got - I actually didn't mind the rhythm games since I remember the "main event" at the end of it all was just a quick time event for going down the catwalk - at least for the GameCube.
In some ways I found it to be a step up - the character models themselves looked really nice and the dialogue was charming. But there were some pretty glaring negatives. They could have at least had music from the bratz cd's playing all the time or let us choose the music like we could in rock angelz / forever diamonds which makes me wonder if there were some licensing issues that only made it so they could only do some remixes (I guess that'd be the best word to use) of a few of the songs, lol.
I thought your review was great though! Ultimately I agree that its best to just play the old ones, and if people do want the new one... wait till it goes on sale for a cheaper price. Even if people don't have a PS2 / GameCube it would be incredibly easy to just... emulate the games on PC - certainly wouldn't need anything too graphically intensive.
I more got it for nostalgia and it did deliver well with the music and the story line structure
Almost had a heart attack when you mentioned RoR, I never hear ANYONE talk about it, it’s my favourite game of all time!
Happy someone made a video about this. I was so shocked about how low budget this game is. I was extremely confused for the target demographic for this game. So many adults were purchasing it due to their recent marketing towards grown women eg. Cult Gaia collabs so I was so confused that this game was made for children. I would even argue children younger than the original games 😂
I was going to buy this. Thank you for stopping me!
I actually still play Rock Angelz and Forever Diamondz for GameCube on my Wii. The physics have always been wack but surprisingly the graphics actually still hold up quite well on modern tvs.
I'm more partial to Rock Angelz because you 1) Midnight Dance is my favorite line, 2) the music is more iconic (Blah, blah, blah, I can't hear you~), and 3) you can travel between the three worlds basically whenever you want.
What's awesome about Forever Diamondz is that you can have music playing constantly from your phone (though I wish you could tell it to only play certain songs), location based seasons, and the super cute Sweet Dreamz line.
I also own Girls Really Rock for Wii, but I've never finished it because I get stuck on a certain photgraphing assignment that I can't figure out how to complete.
I haven't finished this video yet but I have to say that this new game is unfortunately a letdown. There's less variety of fashions, the graphics are bad, and it's really hard to see where you're going. Honestly it kinda reminds me of trying to play the Gameboy version of Rock Angelz (that was a nightmare). I do hope that MGA makes more games, they just really need to go with different game studios
THANK YOU for saying what i’ve been thinking ever since i played the game. bratz have been marketing recently to those of us who grew up with them, but the game felt like it was made for kids
Oh my god those bratz games…I loved them sm as a kid
I was starting to think “oh this might actually get more fun” after Seoul and then when I got to New York and it wiped all my custom hair and makeup never to be seen again and then put me (I picked jade) in the ugliest dress of all 4?! I was mad. I wish they would have set it to a calendar system to put some time pressure on it allowing you only to do so many things per day, included furniture store and pet shop, and had way more hair options 🥲 it’s also so sad to think 60+ people showed in the credits as working on the game and indie game designers working solo or with two or three people give way more depth and expansion. Honestly that’s what this game needed some more depth and expansion on the good initial concept it had (loved the travel and fashion).
The DS Bratz games were top tier even replaying it years later imo
The mention of both Rule of Rose and Ape Escape 3 in the same sentence brought me a ridiculous amount of Joy lol
off topic but that shirt is literally EVERYTHINGGGGG! obsessed
My sister and I are twins. We never had too many similar interests and I was never much of a Barbie doll kid but bratz brought us together. Especially the rock angelz game. Even if we fought over it XD we LOVED bratz and the games are a staple in who I am today
I'm not gonna lie. I clicked on this video 100% because of that title
You saying you played Rule of Rose made my heart so happy. A masterpiece in my opinion ❤️
I watched someone else play this game and all I can say is Bratz: Flaunt Your Refund
I’m so thankful for this!! I’ve been looking at it since the releases resisting the urge to buy. 😂😂
I had no knowledge on these games, but still found this to be an entertaining video :-) Your reviews are really nice.
I was never huge into Bratz but I love watching videos like this! Also I love your shirt!
another banger
i don’t know who you are but you encapsulated everything i was feeling wow subscribed
Saw this game was half off today and almost bought it, very glad I decided to watch a review first😅
Love this vid! also the shirt? pure taste
Your taste in games is impeccable. Rule of Rose, Otome games, AND Dragon Age??? Peak specimen.
I know very little about dolls, but I do love listening to you talk about video games. I loved this!
The first and only time I played the bratz game was when I rented it from blockbuster, and played it on my ps2 back in the day. It’s lived rent free in my head, literally this entire time.
Ahh ! Love your sylveon shirt ! It looks beautiful !
when i heard about this game i was so excited because i played some of the old ones… i saw no good reviews on youtube and quickly changed my mind. i’m so sad and disappointed because if they made it well and aimed it at the girls who grew up with bratz i would’ve spent any amount of money on it
I love how calmly you roast this game
