    Any thoughts on CAT6?

We mentioned a bit at the end for CAT6, but to summarize my thoughts at least: CAT6 needs more setup time than say, Knights, to really get going. I think there are plenty of tech pieces you could add in that would help slow down the opponent, but i feel like in general, you’re going to have a more uphill battle versus the other S/A Tier decks that. GigaWoL really only needs 1 backup to consistently establish and stay established. CAT6 feels like it needs more. If you built a deck that dumped a bunch of forwards and just needed O20 Setzer, you’d be in a decent spot, but that’s where I feel like it ends up being a rogue pick with techs to beat the S/A tier decks.

Oscar built a pretty sweet Kirin deck a while back. Super high-roll-y but definitely would catch people off guard!

@@TheStackFFTCG a well built kirin deck will beat all 3 s tier decks prob 75-90% of the time.
Mono water will kill you though.

I do not agree with comparing Gilgamesh and Seifer though. and stating Seifer is better is way too bias. Seifer requires a 2 card combo and on top of it many cards in the bz as a prerequisite is actually a lot (milling 2 cards and getting both fujin raijin on the board is actually not that easy)(can be stopped easily by Mist Dragon or even early attack from Irvine) while Gilgamesh is a natural process of the game (playing backups). Moreover the current mono earth has so many ways to build backups fast (miner/clarus kings etc) and lastly, Gilgamesh protection is so much harder to be removed and the protection is so much harder to remove than Seifer.

I can appreciate the logic here. I can't remember my exact words in the video, but I think Seifer and Gilgamesh are eerily similar, but they both fit their elements so well.
Seifer has the potential to be a bolt of lightning when he enters by having haste from Raijin and when he swings just snaps something off the board. He's balanced by having that vulnerability with requiring Raijin and a healthy Break Zone to be able to do his thing on the turn he enters and then has little to no protection after he's on board.
Gilgamesh costs a bit more, requires a little more investment for the protection, but that fits Earth so well. Not needing another card to break on the turn it enters, just the extra CP. Being untargetable with the right setup just pays you back for taking the time to get those backups down early.
I think this would be an interesting question to ask someone: "Which card do you prefer; Seifer or Gilgamesh?" That would indicate to me a lot of their methods of play and preferences on play style. Are they the type to setup and wait for a payoff or the type to come out swinging and leave yourself vulnerable..?
