Abhijit has done his homework, and knows his history. Unfortunately he couldn't expand on any of the things that happened in WW2 so I didn't learn anything I didn't already know, he touched upon a few things but moved on to another event to fit in as much as possible in one podcast. WW2 is such a massive subject, to attempt to cover it in one podcast is impossible. But I'd have loved to have heard him spend an hour on any one of the events he touched upon, I'd like to know what his specialist subject on WW2 is, and just listen to him discuss that in detail. Well done for fitting so much in to one podcast 👏

And most people are ignorant of history and think it's fashionable to be ignorant and that attitude is depressing. It is emotionally hard to be a student of history. Maybe emotional people can never fare well as students of history. Because I get perturbed by history i avoid those podcasts. But today I gave it a go. Much respect for Abhijit Chavda's knowledge. I can't verify all of the history he prattles , but some of it I can recall from school, and I can resonate with some things he has spoken and his perspectives. Really good podcast. @@YashSharma-rx3ff Written by someone who doesn't really know very much about Canadians. We also don't like it when people group us with Americans.
Every country in the world has done horrific things to become a country. No country is exempt, even India, because people have a tendency to be greedy for power. Too many people in power do whatever they can to get power and keep it. From practically the beginning of time, there have been people who created empires by wanting something that belongs to others.
Sometimes, people focus on Britain without realizing that Britain was not the only empire in the world. People have taken whatever they wanted, including people, and it wasn't one continent that was doing it. Anytime anyone has lost a battle the losers have been basically made slaves to the winners. Every culture has had slaves.
It is the evil in the heart of humans, and not necessarily a whole culture or country, often the leaders greed and arrogance, for something that does not belong to them. Now an industrial military complex grows richer for every war the US (others too) get involved in. Anytime when war is a bit quieter for a time, it seems some people become puppet masters and create more war.
The Russian Government has said for years they want the old USSR back together and it seems like NATO (US) has helped start a new one. It was obvious that Ukraine was encouraged to apply to NATO even though they were supposed to be a buffer between the East and West. No one needs much of an education to see that it wouldn't take much to provoke an invasion.
Russia has lots of excuses, including Ukrainian Nationalism, when, like most countries, there is a small percentage of Nazis. The top two Ukraine Government elected officials are Jewish. Volodymyr Zelenskyy lost family members in WWII. Do I think his hands are clean? No, I don't, just like no one else involved in the current war going on, with NATO actively in Ukraine is. As usual, civilians pay the price for greed.
It is always the same. A few who want war engineer it and become richer. They are amoral creatures whose god is money and power and too many are happy to sell their souls for wealth and power. Unfortunately, that is the nature of Man and not everyone wants to master that greed.

PRO-TIP ABOUT THE MANHATTAN PROJECT: We invented the internet, codename SNAP, and later, SNAP 2. We invented it so our scientists could communicate from separate locations, without the proximity of one mistake being able to take them all out, as half of the scientists were dying due to exposure to radiation. This is a very interesting side-effect of the Manhattan Project that most will not admit to... and YES, all during WWII...

A wonderful look at the history of WWII from new perspective certainly for me. There are a couple of points I would like to pick up on however one being that a few other European countries sided with Nazi Germany, namely Hungary, Romania and to a large extent Ukraine. Not forgetting Finland. They all fought alongside Germany.
The comments about Churchill are really refreshing. As an Englishman born in 1947 I was educated as to how wonderful the British Empire was. How we were such a blessing for those poor natives were and how we provided democracy and of course not forgetting the railways. It took me nearly 70 years to start to discover the truth and learn some of the actions that were taken against countries such as India as well as many others across the globe. Churchill was indeed a monster of the highest order and did rank alongside Hitler.
Hitler himself didn't really want war with the British. He wanted an armistice with them and the plan being that if we agreed, hè would have allowed the British to retain their Empire so that Hitler could concentrate on the mainland of Europe and conquering it all, including Russia. When it was clear that Germany had lost the Battle of Britain, he simply turned his attention to his real goal, which was Russia itself.
My father was one of those who fought across North Africa and Europe including D Day in 1944. I myself served in the British army in Malaysia and Singapore albeit in the 1960s, long after the days of the Empire but even then I witnessed so much of the arrogance and blatant racism of my fellow countrymen that really started my reeducation with regards to the Empire and even my countries flag which I now refer to as the Butchers Apron, a reference to the blood that has been soaked into it.
A fascinating piece of work, for which I thank you and looking forward to many more.

Greetings Rod, sentiments have certainly changed, on my very brief stay in London this year, I barely came across any individual who would concede aforementioned facts or concur with such viewpoints that are a predicament to the average English....
I vividly remember the days when a difference in opinion, be it in geopolitics/history or even something as trivial as supporting your favorite club, wasn't an invitation to a brawl, the fallout of Brexit is pretty evident.
Coming across your comment was indeed refreshing and is a beacon of hope for our global society...

More people would benefit from this to understand what is underway. I’m American and as I’ve commented on other videos from this channel, understanding and realizing what the American or Anglo American empire is and how it works is uncommon as far as I can tell. Especially within America and nations closer to the core of the empire. These two men are able to pursue paths of conversation and thought that are part of the speech/thought prison within the empire. Fun to observe.

I always look forward on Listening to Mr.Chavda . I always do my own separate research after listening to Abihijit and I always seem to conclude that whatever he mentions and talks about comes out to be true someway or another . I appreciate the non biased historical lesson by him as well . Great stuff . Thank you .
