The Cyborg-phobia at the end never really added up for me - if Ratchet had been a double agent planning to deliver the girl to the Eurax, or decided the world would be better off without human life, then yeah, it makes sense to fight him. But the script missed this opportunity, so it just seems Parsifal has some irrational and unmentioned hatred of cyborgs. However, I know expecting coherent plotting from this gloriously inane movie is kinda unreasonable!

If I may complete the allusion: the Holy Grail grants eternal life (Matthew 26: 27-29); whereas the descendants of the fertile woman for whom this Percival is searching for could continue on indefinitely, giving life back to the world. All of Europe (Which America has a few allies amongst them, if only the UK), Africa (which.......really i can't think of any wars other than WW2 America actually was involved in there.), and all the Countries in Asia, which technically counts Russia and the Middle East, of which at least Japan is our Ally, ALL somehow put their differences aside to go conquer America......just because?

If you've watched Escape From New York too many times and still want more then I'd suggest reading the BOOM comics adaptation they did some years ago. It's set before Escape from LA and it's freaking great. Any fan of the original movie should give it a chance.
