I always had like a problem with Danny, I mean I always had a problem with many of Mindy’s boyfriends but Danny’s refusal to get divorced, his not wanting to get married, his constantly not having her back. Really just pissed me off.
I don’t like him at all….she had guys who treated her way better. He talks to her horribly, selfish, and very condescending
The reason Danny didn’t finalize his divorce was because usually catholic’s don’t get divorce. Plus, The reason he didn’t want to married Mindy was because of what happen to his mom and him. They ended up hating the person they married and he didn’t want that with Mindy. He didn’t want Mindy to hate him also. He explained it to his mom in the episode where Mindy had her baby shower S3E21. Same thing with him wanting Mindy to be a stay a home mom. He wanted to give Leo the childhood he didn’t have. He had to basically raise his brother while his mom worked when his father abandon them. But I guess they needed something to break them up but still he be able to see that she can do both and they can rekindle they’re love.

From the beginning, Danny was never there for Mindy. I seriously didn't understand why they ended up together 😒
I really didn't like how he was always excluding mindy from his family when she was such a happy go lucky kind of girl. And that too after dating for quite sometime.
And his acceptance of her as a family was only after he found out she was pregnant. What a hypocrite!
One reason could be because they would be an interracial couple. It's not easy if you'd be the first to mix in your family, lots of prejudice to deal with.
I think it’s because Danny is very protective of his family especially after his last marriage ended up in divorce he is hesitant about bringing a new woman into his family
