    ▬ ABOUT THIS VIDEO ▬
Mondly vs Duolingo Review (Which Language App Is More Effective?). In this video, John from the Test Prep Insight team evaluates the language learning courses from Duolingo vs Mondly. To complete this language learning review, John received help from a polyglot who is fluent in five different languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian and German). John talks about the learning frameworks that form the backbone of Duolingo and Mondly lessons. He talks about the drills and exercises from both companies that span reading, writing, listening and speaking, and how effective they are. Learning a new language is difficult so it's important you choose an app/program that fits your specific needs. Whether you're attempting to learn Chinese, Japanese or Korean, a top rated language learning app can help you achieve fluency faster. Thanks for watching this Duolingo review and Mondly review. John hopes his insights help you choose between Mondly or Duolingo.

In my honest opinion, duolingo is great with teaching words and the sentence they can go in, and Mondly is great for after you learned the words how to correctly put them in a sentence and make conversation. I use them both togather.

I love that you point out Duolingo‘s flaws but don’t instantly discount it all together as a language learning app. I honestly don’t like Duolingo all that much but so many people just instantly hate on it and I won’t lie it’s not good in my opinion but it’s also not terrible. At least from my experience in the Spanish course you do pick up some vocabulary

Good review between Mondly vs Duolingo. I wouldn’t do the free version. The paid programs are very affordable. Both seem to be good choices. Thanks!

Now I'm thinking if I should get both Rocket Languages AND Mondly, Rocket Languages for more depth and Mondly for more width (more languages for one subscription) 🤔 ...I'm doing the free version of Duolingo now and it is just not enough. I also want lifetime access so Rocket Languages and Mondly seem to be the only ones if I'm not mistaken?
Oh! Babbel also offers lifetime subscription but I want to learn chinese and they don't have that!

I’ve used Mondly for Thai. I use Duolingo for Spanish. I find my memorization with Mondly way better !!! And I like how the voices accurately represent the accent compared to Duolingo where it’s a robotic voice. I want to learn how to speak like a local!!

The best feature of Duolingo were the community events, classes and workshops. I loved them. What did Duolingo do? They got rid of them.

Duolingo is only good to learn the basic vocabulary. Other than that it is quite terrible. I hate the synthetic speech and the out of context phrases. The perfect platform for me would be one that would let teachers/native jump right into the exercise and help you as needed.

    Mondly is $89 for LIFE.
If you use it for 5 years = $18/year
    10 years = $8.90/year
    > 3 years:
    - Mondly = $89
    - Duolingo = $180
    > 5 years:
    - Mondly = $89
    - Duolingo = $450
    > 10 years:
    - Mondly = $89
    - Duolingo = $900
