They also want revenge for being exiled. Which bring me to the effect “bad omen”. I think the pilligars are squadrons assigned to hunt you down and kamikaze with a spell the vindicator put on them that transfers to you when it dies. Specifically a tracking spell. So that way the next time you go to a village they can track you down and destroy it for revenge. Rather than finding it themselves.🤯

I doubt you'll ever see this, but with the addition of the Allay into the Wild Update and them being found in the jail cells in Woodland Mansions, often in groups of three, do you think we just found the souls the Evokers fuse together to make Vex? I know they can't go through blocks and they do have a shadow, but some of the sounds they make are reminicient of whispering voices, similar the the Vex's ghostly whooshing. Maybe worth a Mini Theory?
Also an interesting easter egg: if there is a red sheep near and evoker, it will use magic to turn it blue.
also, vindicators are the only illagers who drop emeralds. A hint to their villager origins.

Wont happen. Mojang has explicitly said that _all_ villagers are pacifists and will not fight. The only exception is the Iron Golems that protect the village for them. If vindicators were cured, and went around chopping up zombies, they would just get kicked out again. Its different when the player does it, he isn't a villager. But villagers do not tolerate violence. One of the reasons pillagers are casted out of villages.

I think the vindicators when they ‘forget’ their targets they’re actually attempting to resist the urges they have to destroy. Like some clones refused order 66 before unfortunately having no choice but to turn.
A really odd thing about vincators is that once there axe breaks, they become peaceful. (That, or I am thinking about pilligers.)

Basically Evokers are using the lapis Lazuli to hypnotize villagers so they can up their numbers and get revenge on the villagers who sent them away, which would explain the raids.

We actually have solid proof that creatures made of souls exist. Minecraft Dungeons also has the Soul Lantern, which has the description, "This lantern, still covered in the sands of a far-flung place, allows those who hold it to summon a creature formed from bound souls."

This doesn't really relate to any theory, but we know that the villagers know of the nether and the end because of the clerics nether wart and ender pearl trades, and we know that the ancient builders built nether portals because of the 1.16 update. So I believe that the villagers will trade with the player and not with other mobs because they remember how the ancient builders showed them mercy and showed them the secrets of the Minecraft world, and now they want to help the player. Along with this the villagers don't die of old age from what we've seen, so they should remember the players species which is why their trades are so low on a flat rate with the player.

For the "most exciting block" block thing, I'd say it depends. While emeralds and netherite are the rarest blocks in the overworld and the Nether respectively. But, If you you were looking for iron or quartz, then sure, it would be exciting to find those things, but not what you're looking for. (I went way too in-depth on this lol)
oh, yeah, and also we've seen lapis be used before with magical stuff, (enchanting table) so it isn't that much of a stretch to say that the Evokers are using it in other ways
I'd suppose netherite would be the most exciting block to find, concerning its rarity. I mean, you can create pretty cool and powerful weapons and armor with it, so it's pretty dope! A block of emerald would be pretty disappointing, in my opinion, because it doesn't do much besides allowing me to buy bread from a villager or a map, but otherwise not too exciting.

Is Steve a demigod? I ask because he is insanely strong from a storytelling standpoint. The Game Theorists themselves talked about the fact that Steve literally has an unending amount of strength that surpasses the feats of even Superman. Also, if the other people from the builder’s race became Endermen, then what happened to Steve? When you spawn in, you spawn in a random part in the world, not somewhere you’d expect. So I hypothesize that he was sent down by the Minecraft gods for the sole porpoise of freeing the builder race. Also, what sets apart him from the builders is that from a storytelling standpoint, he is able to defeat the wither and the Enderdragon by himself, whereas the builders couldn’t. Not to mention how he can RESPAWN, bringing himself back to life

The unique injured(at least I think that’s what it’s for) texture of the vex with those red veins makes it look like it’s fused together too.
Also, I think everybody saw this, but the souls from Minecraft Dungeons look almost exactly like each of the faces on soul sand
Theory: The reason Steve is so powerful and able to create life is because he has the soul energy of all his dead people
My theory is that Steve was an experiment to see what happens what you put multiple souls into a single body that already has a soul

@ INFINITY I was thinking that too. Maybe the Evokers sent the hostile mobs to attack Steve because he is their escaped experiment. That’s why we can’t create end portal frames, we aren’t an actual builder, we are a recreation that is better than the original race since we were able to succeed where the builders failed at the end of our journey to figure out who and what we are. (Killing the ender dragon and wither). As we travel back from the end, our journey is completed through a conversation with the builder kings/gods, who finally change us from a machine to a real builder in a psychological way. (Sort of like Pinocchio) They have accepted us as a real builder despite us being the creation of evil creatures.

I just realized something: When you kill an evoker, they don't pop the totem, but when you kill it it drops it, so maybe the reason the illagers do raids is for souls that in turn are used for totems that would give them immortality.

Theory: The Evokers eyes are the same color as the totem of undying. Maybe they are using the souls of villagers or other illagers (however you spell it) to get these extra lives?
Theory: The wandering trader is an illager in disguise
The wandering trader was kicked out of villager society just as the Illagers were only it wasn’t for playing with life and death. It was for witchcraft. Has any ever thought to question where they got their invisibility potions? My theory is they bought invisibility potions to hide form zombies better. Then they got booted out of the village for their involvement with witches . Which explains why they wander, they were kicked out of their home. They couldn’t live with the other Illagers since they felt like what they were doing is wrong. This would explain why they have potions and why their trades are typically so bad. They are struggling to keep themselves and their llamas alive, so they have to scrounge around for whatever material they can find and try to sell it in hopes that at least one player will buy. It’s also why they cover most of their face, so that the villagers don’t recognize them and they can resupply with the few emeralds they have.

I have 3 theories
1 - Evokers can be a hybrid of a villager and an ancient builder or Steve, that's why they are the only one that can access the totem of undying as Steve, the player can die and respawn as many times they want for some reason. And also they can use magic as the ancient builders could according to mat's theory
2 - The Evokers must have seen the ancient builder or Steve die and respawn and so they wanted to have that same power so they created the totem of undying but as they were less advanced than us, they could only respawn once.
3 - Vindicator have blue eyes maybe because they were one of the ancient builder who was corrupted by the illagers as Steve also has blue eyes.
Interesting to see the vex sound has a shriek similar to that of a phantom, on top of that they have like the main structure of the wings too, but have the same eye brows as the illager

What also supports the theory of the vindicator being a mindless creature is the German name of the Vindicator: Diener, which means servant in English.
With the new update of Allays, I have figured out how vexes are made. I came across an outpost, and when I expected to find an iron golem, I found Allays to n the cage instead. They use the Allays and convert them, likely with lapis, to create vexes.

Theory:
The villagers aren’t complete idiots and are instead geniuses creating super villagers
Think about it. Ever notice how an iron golem has the nose and unibrow of a villager? Somehow they created the perfect villager.
One that can’t drown or take fall damage, one that can inflect massive amounts of damage as well as one with a massive amount of health. This also would explain why they protect villagers and give flowers to baby villagers. It also would explain why they can’t trade. Their job is to protect the village and not make money. This even fits the drowned lore MatPat was talking about. He said the drowned were an ancient race of people who drowned in a massive flood. That’s part of the reason the iron golem was created. Some of the people feared they weren’t gonna make it and they would die off. So to continue the species in some way they created the iron golem, a type of villager incapable of drowning.

That also makes sense. Matpat joked about how all villagers do is grunt to talk but illagers also do that and they do all the crazy stuff in this video. Maybe the illagers got the idea to create ravagers by seeing (or possibly helping to make) iron golems. A ravager is an anti golem.

I don't think villagers nowadays are geniuses. They just pass from one generation to another some kind of spell to give life to the perfect villager, according to your theory. Ancient villagers have made this spell but ours are not that capable.

I’m here to correct part of the dungeons thing. Only certain artifacts (the meat on a bone was one of them.) use souls. These are called soul artifacts. The weapons that you were using as examples as weapons with soul gathering ability’s are soul weapons.

Vindicators are the 'fermentation vessels' for souls before they are used in experimentation so they are purified.
It is why vindicators are SO aggressive with a huge aggro radius.
This is ALSO why they have blue eyes.

There is literally an enchantment that increases your movement speed, but only if you are moving across either Soul Sand or Soul Soil.

Soul Sand is the souls of the dead, the Soul Soil is the remains of the dead mash together.
It would make a lot of sense if vexes naturally spawn in the souls and valleys of the Nether

Something you should think more on is the name of evokers and the specific school of magic. Evocation is defined as "the action of invoking a spirit or deity", this mostly just confirms the theory but the word "deity" makes me wonder how exactly they learned what the ancient builders couldn't.
