Imagine having Matthew Stafford throwing to Calvin Johnson and you fail to build a team around them. One of the saddest things in sports.
Idiots wanted to trade Stafford for years. Used to annoy me so much.
So many of these in the NFL……… Imagine having Aaron Rodgers and NEVER going after a WR free agent….
Calvin literally gave Detroit, not the lions, the city, hope
Naw we he just a legend lol relax
@@MrEquestrianKing speak English before?
As a Packers fan, he’s easily my favorite non Packers player of all time and the greatest receiver in NFL history in my opinion. Dude was as unguardable as anyone could possibly be.
@@Michael-zn3yd facts.. I’m a packers fan too but I grew up near detroit and him as a player and person is just something else
Nb
Calvin Johnson, Barry Sanders, two of my all-time favorite players that left too soon, and I'm a Patriots fan.
Calvin's such an awesome dude, I'm glad he's seemingly happy.
CJ left at the right time. He was a broken skeleton.
You’re not a Patriots fan, hate to break the news to you😂
@@zackhicks5320 go be 12 somewhere else
@@fromulus would you be so butthurt if I wasn’t exactly right?😭😂
Top 5ive receiver of all l time for sure easy
#1 wr of all time
The other 4 aren't as big, strong, or as fast. So he wins.
@@davidbarber3821 unfortunately Moss exists, don't get me wrong though, If CJ had a longer career as Moss he probably would've been better (CJ & RM had 6 pro browls while RM had more seasons, CJ had 3 seasons with 100 yards per game while RM had 1, RM has more Touchdowns 156, and yards 15292, while CJ had 83 with 11619, this definitly shows that if CJ had more seasons he would've been better than RM. At one point CJ almost had 2 seasons with 2000 yards. But RM had Tom Brady as a QB)
Edit: at most he would be #2nd and #1 moss
@@PTTLRD Jerry rice is the clear cut #1. Moss is #2. Megatron #3
@@NoName-wi4od wouldn’t that give more credit to the others? They did it without being as fast or as big
Thing is he had a pretty damn good quarterback who could throw a lazer but they where on the wrong team...happy he got in the HOF
Yo he caught passes from Russel Wilson wow
That’s what I’m saying
The best built receiver of all time. Had it all. Size, Speed, Hops. People know he's great, but he doesn't get enough respect.
In that first play against the saints, he was almost past the defender on his 3rd step. That shouldn't be possible in the NFL.
It’s a continuation… great answer
Russ throwing to the GOAT LOL
Facts lol... And the QB that Washington should've drafted!
I mean if Griffen could of stayed healthy Washington could of been Seattle in a couple years. Truly a big and sad what if story
@@theginger1758 thats not a guarantee if he did stay healthy
"Calvin'll route him up"
Brilliant.
Everyone talks about how Johnson broke the mark held by Jerry Rice but the mark was originally held by Charlie Henningan (Oilers)going back to the '60s.
2:25 he talks about running through the defenders and That was one of the most violent trucks I've ever seen from a wideout
It's a damn shame that great players like Megatron and Barry Sanders never got a ring. Just imagine a team with Megatron, Barry, and Stafford? Rings. Yes, plural.
Megatron was unstoppable.
That question at the end was the stupidest question I have ever heard. Why would you ask if this was the proudest you’ve ever been of his child?
She sounded so monotone and unimpressed too ahha
yeah low key that was inappropriate and crossing a line
@@Pun1Sh3r_360 she's a woman so could you use a actually word instead of this stupid low-key crap
He’s a god
There is no god
Only one God Jesus Christ.
Not even an overstatement.
Megatron was a beast and the Lions did him dirty
Bro they had the nerve to ask for money back after he retired
Reporter: "Is this the proudest you've ever been of your son?"
Calvin's dad: "It's a continuation"
What a great response. Fatherly love right there.

That dude from Wisconsin turned out to be one hell of a quarterback in the NFL
Probably the best quarterback in his draft class

@@grxracer-1606 they all have great cases but I think it is pretty accurate
I still remember the Dallas game very well
It's interesting when you look up the record for most receiving yards in a season, the two top players had Matthew Stafford as a quarternack those years.
I miss you Megatron
He is better than a top 5 receiver... when he was playing he was the best deep man in the game.. imagine if moss and Megatron were on the same team 😳 nobody could have stopped them
Imagine Moss, Megatron, and Rice all in their prime on the same team, with Tom Brady at QB. And then Emitt Smith at RB. Literally an unstoppable Offense
@@Chrissmth holy cow that would be a awesome sight... literally no defense could even slow them down
i mean if ur making a historic offense team then a historic defense team could put in work easily
@@pyrodirty5658 easily?? I don't think so.. there's not many corners who could cover moss and Megatron... I'd expect the offensive line would be "historic" too so maybe the pass rush helps but not much
they were saying unstoppable so i said put in work causing it wont be unstoppable and harder to get down the field
🐐
Can’t believe the Lions had Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford and squandered it.
I was at this game
Calvin needed like 2 bills to pass Jerry Rice's record... He ended up doing it on 11 birds!
Megatron and Stafford was a great duo, but imagine if he had guys like Brady, Rodgers, or Brees throwing him the ball, would've been even more unstoppable than he already was.
@@joshhan9932 No one called him a scrub. Stafford is good but not Brady or Rodgers good
@@loaf5435 he is Rogers and Brady good IMO. He just didn’t have the same support they did
@@middleage_maniac1692 I disagree but whatever
@@loaf5435 he is definitely better than Brady, who dumps it off about 80% of the time.
@@blueleader392 Ooooooof!! That's gotta be the worst take i've ever heard
No one mentioned Calvin Johnson played with future WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns ( Joe Anoa'i) in Georgia Tech in 2006 I wonder why CJ and The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns never acknowledge that.
They have. Reigns tried to get him ringside seats but CJs schedule didn't line up. Also when asked if he'd ever jump in the ring, he'd do it it Reigns was on his side

Dayum could you Imagine if RUSS & MEGATRON were teamed together
Unstoppable. Best deep route passer, to the best deep route receiver. Easy money
If DK can put in the work and get better he could be just like Calvin not saying he is even close but size and speed wise they same but don’t get me wrong Calvin is one of one
@@offhandspoon9557 agreed. 100%
@@kellenball8398 I hope it happens to my favorite WR of all time is Moss Calvin is number two but those two were so dominant in the game you had to double and triple team and sometimes that didn’t even work
@@kellenball8398 I'm sorry but in all honesty even though Russell is probably a better quarterback Stafford is a way better deep ball passer and has a way better arm
3:31 now that QB is an MVP favorite, Superbowl champ, arguably the best QB in the league, and in his 10th year carrying seattle to greatness (despite the rough start)
The best QB in the league? What fumes have you been huffing???
One year later ...Russ is the worst quarterback in the league.

Explain how the Saints cheated? As I remember it, Brees got in a rhythm and the Lions defenders made some pretty glaring coverage mistakes that Brees torched them for.
Nah who really cheated was the NFL and the Dallas Cowboys in 2014 when the Lions actually had a good team had the number one defense in the league and had Calvin and Stafford on offense
Same with Barry sanders
Am I the only one who finds the last question be weird as hell, “is this the proudest you’ve ever been of your son”. Like what kind of question is that lmao
