ZhangtheGreat Right! I remember a story by Mike Holdgrum. Saying at the Pro Bowl in Hawaii after a practice. ALL the players stood around and watched Jerry workout on the field for 30 minutes. Running sprints, routes, etc. These are the best players in the world, and even they are admiring his work ethic.

Dallas really lost their swag after Jimmy left. The only time the Barry Switzer era Cowboys beat SF was in 1996 during the regular season. Jimmy's Cowboys were much more disciplined and knew how to beat the 49ers. Jerry Jones' ego ruined the Cowboys.

The difference between Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders was simple! Deion Sanders had all the talent in the world, but he had no heart, and expected everything to be handed on a sliver platter, because he was so talented. Jerry Rice, came from a Division 2 school, and worked his ass off since the moment he was drafted. He never took for granted being an NFL player, and never took a day off.

The players said Jerry could run away from anyone any time he wanted to. I only wished Al would let Gruden do what he was capable of doing. Grudin proved it he took the Raiders and Tampa to the superbowl. It has not been easy being a raider fan. When the owner is fickle and uncommited it is hard to get excited.

I also remember being highly amused when I heard Sanders signed 1-year with SF. He came from the Atlanta Falcons who were at the time division rivals. AMAZING Cornerback but his showboating angered you. However, for 1 year, he was *OUR* AMAZING, showboating CB. He was well worth the price and I only wish the 49ers retained him longer. You had to build to beat the early-mid-90s Cowboys, and Sanders was a part of 2 of the Super Bowl Championships between the Niners and Cowboys.
