Calvin is a legend and a great role model was my favorite player growing up
Same him Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson were my favorite offensive players. Used to try to play like all of them a lot playing street ball as a kid.

Megatron was badass AF, but Randy Moss was a different animal. Admittedly we got to see A LOT of GOAT receivers in that era Moss, Megatron, T.O., Larry Fitzgerald, Marvin Harrison. Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase might be the only receivers today on par with the entertainment value and elite athletic catching ability we got spoiled with.

I remember that stolen touchdown against the bears when it happened. I mean it's megatron, the pass was complete, he caught the ball and willingly let go of it after feeling like he was down. That's one of those calls where even if you think it's borderline, you gotta factor in the individual greatness of the receiver involved in the play. Mind boggling call lol.

Calvin Johnson is the best wide receiver the NFL has ever seen. Size, athletic ability, hands, route running, everything. Throw anything to him, it's automatic. Throw it into triple coverage? He's got it. Not to mention he holds the single season receiving yards record. If he had a superbowl (team achievement), he'd be undoubtedly everyone's number 1 receiver I reckon.
Put it this way, he was Randy Moss on steroids.
You put the right amount of height on that ball the only person coming down with it is Calvin Johnson. He was the definition of always open.

During training camp, Calvin Johnson would purposefully bail early on the bench press because he didn't want to destroy the confidence of his other receivers. Dude was a level above everyone else.

For as much as I went through [in the past] as a Chiefs fan, I can't imagine having Barry, Calvin and Matt and no hardware to show for it. All the skill positions that are supposed to count they have all-time superstars, but their legacy is the hard truth football remains a team game.

Megatron was the goat in terms of raw ability. Absolute freak of nature.
I think the easiest way to fix the controversy about catch no catch in this case and future ones. The ground cannot cause a fumble (long long long standing rule). The ground cannot cause an incompletion after a completion. Calvin caught the ball, the ground made no football play to incomplete it.
I mean this in the best way possible. Watching Calvin Johnson Highlights is boring, bc he is just that much better than everyone else. You don't need to be flashy if you are an adult playing with kids.
What a waste of talents simply for landing in Detroit and not a real team. Imagine this guy at Indianapolis, New England, San Diego, Pittsburgh, or Seattle. So many championship teams would have been unstoppable with him. Legend.
