In my opinion this color is the best for this bike. I want a same one for my first “big” bike. Looks amazing.
I liked blue on older
I love the 2020 orange/ black color scheme on the 390
@@Roeper437 this is a kahruzbalt color.
You should check out the color scheme on the new Duke 890 gp
No the white one
Just bought one today, exact same spec as yours. It's my first street bike, I can't wait to get it home so I start riding it.
Beautiful bike. I'm getting this one as my second bike. Absolutely love it.
I brought the 2021 Duke 390 as my first bike. Can’t wait to really ride it!
Nice bike Jackson. It's a dandy Thumper to have for your first bike. I had a BSA 441 Victor that was a gas. Torque monsters. KTM has always been on leading edge. Great choice. Keep that shiny side up!
Just got the same one. The gray is so tight. I love this thing. Endless smiles
Congrats dude. Awesome bike!
Im buying a 2023 this week thanks for the video
Enjoy it
Congrats man, that is one sexy looking bike
This bike makes alot of sense, don't let that go over your heads.
Thats a new grear color scheme. For ktm. Like their higher displacements. Ktms. Wow. Thanks bro
Thank you for video is realy cool! I start school soon for A2 and my brother tell me to buy yamaha mt 03 but i like duke design. This video realy help me for choice!
Love your ride csn you show us the other color of this bike especially the white one nice vid btw
I have a 2020 390, when you hit the miles for the first service you can go into the settings and change the rev limiter. No need for a scanner to get rid of it.
And also you can change the milage for the next service intervals.
Did they adjust your valves at the first service?
Never mind my closest KTM dealer is 150 miles away. Ninja 400 dealer is less than 20
@@josephsaia5527 first valve service on the KTM isn't untill like 35k miles I believe. I got plenty of time for that.
Beautiful congrats
sweet ride
They are nice little bikes. I have a mt 09, but I like lots of different bikes and sizes. 400 cc is one of the best sizes though in my opinion
The grey looks great , it will do 105 no problem try harder
I have one and love it!! Same bike
Very good bike I bought the same, love the color. Any ticking sounds ? I have some like "keys sound" let's say.
I got the 22 model in the same color, I love kTm😁.
Very nice color scheme! I think it'd look better with black wheels and orange trim on inside edge of wheel maybe, or just straight black wheels?
I had one overseas,as it was one of the bigger bikes you could get, but it needs more power.
Oh almost forgot... Brembo sintered break pads at the front... 43mm WP Open cartridge forks up front... This bike is basically built to race straight from the factory...
Congrats, I heard about the heat issue on this bike which you can feel in your legs while riding especially in traffic. Can you give me a feedback. Thanks
Have you tried to find the diagnostic obd2 connector on this bike? The manual shows it to be underneath the passenger seat but u can’t find anything 😬
Black box chamber looks the same , difference is the header pipe goes under the bike.
You know it’s a push once to start, you don’t have to hold the start bottom
I saw one of these on the road today and I didn’t know what it was until I read the bracket on the back that said KTM under the license plate I didn’t see that on this bike tho wondering if it’s the same.
It sounds like my Harbor Freight 212cc Predator Motor.
Halogen indicators in 390 ?
But here in India we get LEDs in KTM 125s
I looking at this as my first bike.
Bought one brand new for my first bike, 700 miles so far.
Love it and love riding, it's an ideal beginner bike.
My complaints with MY motorcycle:
1 Tires(I need Pirelli Rally Scorpions here)
2 Non-adjustable 43mm front forks(would prefer 46mm(?) adjustable)
3 Rear brakes are incredibly wimpy
4 Zero wind protection (obviously-Lay down over 70mph or wind will...)
5 My bikes right side stickers are all messed up, came that way (crate)
~Great, fun little bike.
I'm getting the 2024 390 in Atlantic blue.
Definitely break in as manual suggests. And from what I’ve heard…that 600 mile maintenance is an important one. Supposedly they adjust the valves after break in and it could mean the difference of life and very early death to these motors. Plus, I’m sure if it grenades and you DID the dealer maintenance…a new motor installed for free and start the process all over again. Nice looking bike, have fun!
First maintenance 1k ,second 7,5k, and 15k for adjust the valves , i work in KTM 😜
Valve adjustment is for the pre-2018 models. You can look up the maintenance schedule, nothing 'supposed' about it.
@@alexandergrube8953 thank you! Good to know.
Seria um sonho realizado, se eu tivesse uma moto com tanta tecnologia embarcada como esta.
I ❤️ KTM.
Would a small 321cc twin be better? Mt03?? Or a honda 300?
You forgot the bi-directional quick shifter the only one in this class. And the starter is a touch start meaning you don't have to hold the start button or twist the throttle, just push and the motor cranks the engine until it starts... Have been owning one since 2018 and I've never regretted making that decision....
Husqvarna 401 has the quick shifter as well
@@shawjoe71 I have no idea since Huskies are limited to the 250 cc class in India but the Huskie's 401's are exactly the same engines used in the KTM 390's. Since KTM practically owns Husqvarna.
In India it has led indicator
Quick shifter up. Does it have auto blip down shift? I have a 2019 Duke 390 and I absolutely love it. I've had 1000cc track bike and lots of 600 plus street bikes but this is one of my favourites . Just so much fun. Got 13k on mine and no issues. Just keep on top of your oil and coolant and they're fine.
Yes it's got a bi-directional quick shifter. Quick shifter and Autoblipper
Hello, I am Latin American, I want to know when the BS6 Duke is being imported and when it will arrive in Peru, thank you very much.🤔
Nice bike... but something in the garage really caught my eye. 240?
Do you think this bike could be good for a guy with 1,87 cm altitude like me?
Why don't you have LED indicators???
That led kills the look of the bike why do you guys still get the halogen led, we get stock led indicators with every bike except 125 and 200
Is that a datsun in your garage?
Is it true that it has quick-shifter as standard?
I wish they'd make a 390 supermoto, but i guess the duke has almost a supermoto riding position?
Any GPS option (using a phone connected) ?
Where are the led indicators
I have the instructions on how to reset the service interval.
moore ! give us moooore of duke390 ! :) please :P
It is also my first motorcycle, and I've been riding it for one month. I have no complaints and am satisfied with all the features and functions. However, I'm debating whether to purchase the Navigation System through the KTM app or attaching my phone to the handlebars. Stay safe.
Is this bike ok for a guy with 1,87cm altitude?
@@aladdin399 If I'm doing the conversion correctly, you're just over 6 feet tall. In my case, I'm 5 feet 8 inches, and both my feet do not sit flat on the ground. I'm either on one side, leaning flat on one foot or both tips of my toes. It will not be an issue for you.
@@s30n25 Thanks man. I think you are right.
Mind sharing your OTD price?
I’m confused between the KTM duke 390 and continental gt 650. Which one do you think is better for daily commute and touring please suggest ❤️
Well for touring and going long distance the bigger the better I'd think. The 390 definitely isn't great for long highway commutes but for short ones and back roads and roads going 45MPH - 55MPH I think it's great for.
@@ToastyDIY I got lowered footpegs and the comfort seat from ktm and I can do 3 hour trips at this point, after that , it's torture.
Looks better in orange or white. I have a white 2018 one. Good bikes.
If you haven’t figured it out just so you know it’s a one touch start not hold nice bike just ordered the 22 same color also have the 200
I got the White version!!
How are you liking it? Did you go with the same year?
@@ToastyDIY Yeah I got the 2021 in white. It's a blast and finally get to go through the class next week to get endorsed.
6,000 for this or a few dollars more for a bigger bike??
does it have quickshioffter or slipper clutch?
@J ha thanks man. I know I got mine last week.
6k rpm for break in period
Does any of you know something?
bruh..its not water cooled, its liquid cooled though but definitely that liquid is not water.I have the same bike.
Do you think this is a good stater bike ?
Or the Ktm duke 200?
If you live close to a dealership that can do the work on it .
so loud, louder than a 1000cc
How much did this cost you
These bikes new retail around $5799.99 USD
@@ToastyDIY it costs $4285 in India 🙄 with better turn Indicators 😀.
@@sandeepshaga3961 Because no crazy taxes and delivery fees.
Start from $7k and only 2 color option in indonesia 🙃
@@TheFrenky87 yeah the price in indonesia jumped a bit for the 390, its crazy
That plate holder... How to fuk Up motorcycle... Sad
That’s definitely coming Off!
They sell a delete kit for that tail section. That long black thing( Doh) is ugly. The kit shortens everything up.
first service cost me 160 pounds .. crap
Then we can fire up.... humble jumble die lol
Tail tidy tail tidy tail tidy
That's an annoying exhaust
Turn the engine off!!!!
Its liquid cooled not water cooled.
Sorry, I forgot water isn't a liquid.
@@ToastyDIY alright put water then
@@ToastyDIY im sorry if i offended you. I was just trying to be helpful. Im happy to see you get a new bike.
@@ToastyDIY is it cooled by water or some other fluid?
I rather buy kawasaki ninja400 than this
Thats just a myth. You should be going to all the rpms. You shouldn't be staying one particular rpm. you should do some research. Check fortnine's video on breaking in new bike or something.
I don't believe I mentioned staying at "one" RPM. I was and am a mechanic and I can tell you for a fact that you don't want to "redline" a new engine. All of the new metals and plastics need to be broken in and every new engine has a break in procedure and period.
@@ToastyDIY dude come on. I was just trying to be helpful. Btw, i don't think you will be going 1000miles and you touching the red line wont be a problem. I have owned 2 bikes and i am just sharing my opinion. But if u don't do all the rpms then your bike might not perform as good as other bikes.
@@sambidhrai127 why would that harm performance????
@@David-ck3gv Can't explain well. See this vid
