A primer on London’s bright-burning young jazz scene, this new compilation brings together a collection of some of its sharpest talents. A set of nine newly-recorded tracks, We Out Here captures a moment where genre markers matter less than raw, focused energy. Surveying the album’s running order, it could easily serve as a name-checking exercise for some of London’s most-tipped and hardworking bands of the past couple of years. Recorded across three long, fruitful days in a North West London studio, the results speak for themselves: they’re a window into the wide-eyed future of London’s musical underground.
Triforce’s ‘Walls’ is a performance in two parts: starting with Mansur Brown’s languorous, lyrical guitar, the second half switches up to a low-slung, g-funk-tipped groove.
    Dominic Canning - Piano
    Mansur Brown - Guitar
    Ricco Komolafe - Bass
    Benjamin Appiah - Drums
We Out Here compilation released 9th Feb 2018.

Totally didn't expect TRIFORCE to be a jazz group. I came across this coincidentally just because I wondered if any group used "Triforce" from Zelda as a name lol. I assumed that a synthwave producer would have this name but how wrong I was. Good stuff!!

It's surprising the things you hear in Pizza Express (Soho)! Never expected to see/hear anything as good as this band.

lmao mate this is why I want to be in UK. To hear the likes of this legendary scene casually at a Pizza Express compared to dross you hear in US

@@sahildoshi4438 I was in New York years ago and wandered into a blues bar and there was a great duo playing. I can't remember their names though. I think the bar was 'Chicago blues bar'.

I liked the live version more, especially because the part on fender rhode (well not sure, but it sounded like one for me) in the keyboard solo did not sound that well for me. Only speaking about the choice of the sound used, not about the playing in itself.
    Still, it's a great piece.
