That bass tone is life.
My only regret is that I only have one thumbs up to give.
@@FogTub what you can do instead is spread this video :D
I know!! aigh?
01:30 stuck in my HEAD.
literally came back to this months later just to search the comment feed for 'bass' in search for some tasty fat bass jam recommendations... =) so please, ppl of youtube, share your wisdom.
@@Jarshvor Tower Of Power, Green Day, RHCP, Graham Central Station, Amnesty, polyphia, and TWRP are all bands you should check out
Edit: Also these are good bands to learn bass from, they helped me become a better bass player
@@coliimusic Thanks for the info! ;) will check them out. not that much into GreenDay but RHCP are a fave. Flea kills it on the bass and Frusciante is ... out of this world. Thanks for the 'learn to play' encouragement. I'm afraid im at an age where its past me though. Would have loved to learn guitar. =)
Dude on the keys just straight up climaxed for 7 minutes straight
Funny, think I might have toooo....
Watched him live once, I wasn't sure if he was maybe high. Seemed way into it!
Best comment 👍👍
droppin loads
can you blame him?
Back in the day (1970s) I was listening to Weather Report and Return to Forever. Now, in 2020 it's Binkbeats!

He does go all Zawinaly on this
I keep coming back to this again and again. It's perfect. The progressions, the lead, the composition, the vibe, the spirit, the control, the freedom, the tempo, the energy, the playing, the execution, the choice of instruments (Moog + Rhodes + bass + drums is a perfect combo in itself), the… the… the…
This is what music is about.
...yup
Yeah dawg this shit is dope music
True inspiration to any musician who didn't stop at one instrument.
This world needs more musicians that can actually tell stories with their music. Fantastic job guys!
They're out there... record companies aren't interested.
There are plenty but sadly you need to actually look for them. They will not usually be served to you on the silver platter of almighty algorithms.
Plenty of record companies that host them as well, but they are also not served by the almighty.
everyone's a musician just lost our way, now this is beautiful but indeed should be more common for everyone.
This is like Hatfield And The North, Robert Wyatt and National Health all got together in 1975, bloody marvelous.
Whatever happens from 1:27 on up to 3:25 is a spiritual journey through the groove, the base line and the super beautiful chord voicings, which takes us to the whole grand special and spiritual trip this song presents us. This is a powerful one!
You all some cold dudes.
Watching this is a great reminder of the beautiful things we can produce as a species when we choose to. Make music not war.
Reduccionist analysis. Most of the times, war is not a choice my dude. Or you'd tell palestinians to stop defending and start making music? We don't need empty discourse, but rather more political awareness and depth. That being said, this is amazing music without any doubt.
@John The King Robinson Exactly my point my dude. I am a musician myself but I'm not buying into the the whole "make peace, not war" analysis. Politics and history is much more complex than that. I sure as hell don't like war but let's not be naive.
@Lokey Nah, it doesn't work like that for me dude. Forgetting about everything else won't make real problems go away. This is the mentality that has lead us to fucking up the planet beyond repair.
Think about when the Vietnam War happened. More specifically, the Gulf of Tonkin incident: 1964, just years before the zenith of hippie culture. After that incident LBJ falsely and deliberately claimed that a US destroyer had been attacked without warning to drum up support for escalating the war, and even the peace-loving culture of the time and the largest antiwar movement in history was not enough to stop the war from happening. It wasn't until 1973 that peace accords were signed.
The only thing we ordinary people could possibly do to prevent war from happening is thinking intently about the wars that imperialist elites are promoting, and taking time away from our normal activities (like music) to vigorously resist the wars.
Why not both? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Wow, now that was one good random CZcams recommendation.
Ruslan Perezhilo that's how I found this page too. Don't even listen to similar music. Glad I came across this guy
Ruslan Perezhilo Same here. I’m happy now
The Internet gods have blessed you my son. Go forth and spread the dank news.
I think the same
Ruslan Perezhilo random you say? Google’s AI algorithms are nearing synchronicity divinity 😜
This is definitive proof that all the folks out there saying that new music sucks simply aren't looking hard enough.
damn at 6:02 that lead key jam epic as hell
this song is incredible, music like this ; its not just the talent, but the climb from quiet ambience to epic proportions creates such a cinematic effect that can only really happen when you take that time to build your sound up from low energy upward
Gotta go crescendo... just like giving head, am I right?
spot on!
If you like that kind of keyboard frenzy, check out CORY HENRY, especially in the "Snarky Puppy - Lingus (We Like It Here)" performance! What a collection of artists! DAYUM!!
I just love that there are people like these out here still. The world has gotten filled with so much skepticism and negativity and these guys dispel that in like 7 minutes. Well done boys
year 2050 , people look back to this beautiful side of youtube and will say these bunch was way ahead of time.
Love from Bangladesh xx
5 years and still one of my favs !!!! Such a great work. The drums, the bass guitar, the piano by Niels. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS !!!
Laugh, Cry, buzz, inspire, Joy. Theres everything right there :)
HOLY SH*T. This was incredible.
That bass part man. It’s so impactful and it doesn’t feel overdone
genius level musicianship
When i saw bass player sitting behind the drums... i realised it's gonna be awesome.
First looping artist i've heard is not about the looping. It's great. My eyes are opened.
That seriously might’ve been the best thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life
Man, when BINKBEATS plays those 5ths on that little 1950s Galanti vibraphonette...that’s what really takes me into outer space!
One of my few "go to" videos!
We may not be many who listen to this amazing projects, but at least we give it the attention it deserves.
hm it now has 1.153.271 views :)
Roen that awkward moment when someone has already written your comment for you.
Hahaha man, don't feel special lol, it seems you don't know what not many is on a youtube video. 1M for a video like that (not commercial) is extremely good. When you'll be viewing a music video with 500 view then you could consider to be of the few
Check out Shubh Saran. Similar music, hugely underrated! It deserves your attention and enjoyment!
I think most people just cant get past the hipsterish appearance, but ultimately, the only people who hate on hipsters are people that hate themselves. Besides, you cant deny his skill
Never seen someone play the keys with a dirty guitarist face. Dope.
Benjamin Stokes u should definitely watch some pomplamoose or scary pockets🙌🏻
i swear he has a guitar tone on....and his voicing for a lick or a solo sounded like a guitar it was wild...6:04

i listened to this song in a very interesting and lovely time in my life. it was summer, i had just eaten some -brownies- and was gaming. during the trip time lost meaning to me, i was just jamming out and enjoying the game and was full of positive vibes. life is treating me pretty well but that time was very special to me. it feels like a dream now - such a surreal experience - even though it was just a month ago :D but i still enjoy this piece a lot and it will probably stay with me for a long time.

Some of the highest quality music I have listen to in years!
You guys are proof that music isn't really dying, the muse is just having a hard time finding recipients. Completely immersive.
The bells tingling in the beginning are like the TEDx intro without water drops, bass and strings.
Some of the most expressive keyboard work I have ever seen!
kurtis allain - it reminds me a lot of the 70s jazz rock, people like chick corea, jan hammer and others - but i think i like this better... :-)
just a bit downwards i read "weather report vibes", yep, another 70s band - still i like this better... :-)

Check out the song Lingus by Snarky Puppy if you want to see some expressive keyboard work.
Ian Sullivan, I was just about to write that too. That live video of Lingus is utterly insane. Saw him live a couple months ago and it was sick, haha. And he had D'Angelo's guitarist with him too, crazy setup.
@@0TheLoTuSpoD0 I saw that comment and was ready to say the same thing.:) Lingus is a modern classic.

Blink got skills. This joint and the Dilla joints made me a fan.

The best thing I've seen in years 👏👏👏
Charts would have you believe that musicianship is dead.
Thank goodness Sess there are still aspiring musicians who understand theory and dynamics. This was brilliant. BRD-esque (in the best possible way)
Wow! Terrific music. So many sounds and influences in the mix that I really dig. It's equal part rock, jazz, cosmic groove, with elements of dance music, and prog... wonderful! Beautiful Rhodes, both to look at and hear (love the Fender tweed fabric!), lovely basslines, with fab laid back groove and nice chordal voicings... the modern dance music influences are, in truth my least favourite element. But that's being super-picky. One if my favourite parts is when the Soft Machine/Canterbury scene synth solo and drums kick in near the end... they could've kept they going waaay longer for my money. Binkbeats, I salute you, my fab and funky brethren! Love from the UK...
No matter which day, what mood, this always fills me with heartwarming emotions. Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Smooooooth and Groooooove
In moments like this when I whatchis this video (or other incredible creations from creativce people) I am happy to be alive.

And God said CZcams recommend this to the people 🙌🙌🙌
YO... That bassline was STUUUUUPID DOPE.
check out lingus by snarky puppy
can we all agree this is the best song on youtube and probably the whole point of the sixties music revolution. And that this song is like a 10 out of 10, and provides actual integrity to what music is suppose to be without it being formally exploited through a lense of a gimmick, and is an example we will see less and less as music becomes more indwelled with marketing schemes that content creators will adhere dishonesty towards the audience, taking away the joy of what we were trying to appreciate in the first place. Life, and something thats actually good. Given that its actually good.
I wish more people knew that there is sooooo much amazing music happening these days! This is phenomenal!

Awww yeahhhh!
i usually don't like "multi-instrumentalist + I have a loop-er too" type of music , but this is different, why ? because I can avoid looking at whatever they're doing and genuinely enjoy the music.
..also that bass / keys combo at the start ... very Gil Scott & Jackson

I’m back having listened to this for the umpteenth time. Why oh why does this dream team not make more music/ an album together. If they did though this standalone piece of genius might just be a little less bright as it’s rarity would be challenged. Just amazing.

Were you worried that there weren't musicians still out there?
@@ktakashismith not worried no, but feeling despondent that what seemed to be accepted as music now, was far inferior to what I grew up with. Doesn't make a difference to my life, but I would feel sad for young people who don't have what I had. This music here has soul and substance, and I was glad to see it again - like an old friend.
