- A primer on London’s bright-burning young jazz scene, this new compilation brings together a collection of some of its sharpest talents. A set of nine newly-recorded tracks, We Out Here captures a moment where genre markers matter less than raw, focused energy. Surveying the album’s running order, it could easily serve as a name-checking exercise for some of London’s most-tipped and hardworking bands of the past couple of years. Recorded across three long, fruitful days in a North West London studio, the results speak for themselves: they’re a window into the wide-eyed future of London’s musical underground.
Ezra Collective run a tight, Afrobeat-tipped rhythm on ‘Pure Shade’, with the final third changing gear into a melodic, momentous closing stretch.

Just fantastic. The drums performance is amazing especially in the 2nd part of the song.
An electric drum set if I had to guess. The snare sounds quite artificial. Indeed, the drummer is definitely competent.

Had to call Apple Support today. While waiting for a rep, I got to choose what genre of music to listen to while on hold: classical, pop, or jazz. Chose jazz, and was zoned out waiting for a rep when 4:09 and on completely grabbed my attention. Shazam let me know what the song was and I immediately added it to my collection.

The only thing wrong with this song is that the last part is too short. The whole track should just be an extended version of that one segment.
