Great video representing Olon on New Years Eve! I think the only thing missing is the surfers tradition of surfing and then running around and jumping over the fire. I can send you my video if you want to see it. I thought I saw Mike on the beach at one point but it was crazy and fun :)

Yes it was crazy. Got up at 6:45 to walk the dogs and heard thumping music. Lol
Im pretty sure fireworks inside manigotes are banned. But the sentiment of burnings sounds right. Should be common sense dont have fireworks inside them but here we are 😊

Hi Kris and Mike, Happy New Year. We went to the Samai Lodge and had a fantastic dinner there. After we headed down to the San Jose beach with Tania and Ed (owners of the Samai Lodge). The Fireworks were crazy. Fireworks all around and above us. The burning of Monigotes was quit an experience. We have been here now for a month and we indeed like it here.
That's wonderful. It was a crazy night. Glad you were able to experience it. I may have met your wife. Not sure tho - lots of people around now. Lol.

I bet you can guess my New Year's resolution. Lots of bangs here, most, not all but certainly most, were gunshots. Particularly exciting, the people that identify as gangtas have digital triggers, 15+ bangs per second will get your attention. I thought about shooting mine but, worried I'd catch a bullet if I went outside.
