I just returned from Ecuador after 30 days. I really wanted to visit Ayampe and Montañita, but I decided to stay in the mountains after I got word of the invasion of the tv station in Guayaquil when I arrived in vilcabamba.

@@KrisandMike thank you; it was an incredible 30 day trip. I saw Quito on the front and back end. I saw Otavalo, cotacachi, Banos, Cuenca, Loja, vilcabamba, mindo, Chugchilán, and the amazing hostel, Cotopaxi Secret Garden.

Prices on the coast are a little more but we love it here. Ocean, jungle, amazing food.

@@KrisandMike I try to watch your videos. Sometimes I go back and watch again. The Olon area seems to be my favorite in Ecuador and is probably the area where I’ve will move. Not a city boy so Manta and Salinas is too big for me.
Where is the closest Marina to you? Do you know if it’s difficult to get a marina slip for say a bit less than 34 feet?

@@magnusb6311 Yes all the boats here get pulled up on ramps on wheels when the tide is in.

There is this something about my heart and the Amazonas...really top priority for me....can't really explain why but, I just know I have to do some travel out there . Can't wait 💖

Thanks for another great video. I had not seen that area and I'm surprised it looks like that. Somehow I assumed the land was pretty much flat around the beaches with few exceptions. 20 years ago when I lived at the beach, I used the beach/surf live cams even though the beach was less than a mile drive from home. A little extra motivation gets you to the beach quicker. I've been checking the olonsurfcam often and I'm surprised how many days there are with very few clouds. It's been down the last couple of days and that's unusual. There is a Ayampe live cam.
I'm not making much progress towards getting the house ready to sell. The air pollution is mostly in the very unhealthful range or unhealthful range. There are warnings that seniors, children and people with health problems need to avoid being outside. Add to that my allergies are bad this year even with the array of pills and potions I use. You don't realize how bad you feel because it builds over time. Hopefully I'll make it to Ecuador this year. Thanks again for the motivation.
Thanks Jerry. So there are hills behind the beaches in the area we live in. It makes it that more beautiful. Some live on the beach, others on the hills, and others in the beach towns. Beautiful area.

Did you wear a good mosquito repellent? I am finding out that the repellent sold in other countries are NOT as effective and more expensive. Just saw another CZcamsr get Denge fever.
Actually we haven't worn any yet. Lol. It's almost nothing compared to Canada here. However we will when Dengue is going around the area. So far its way more north.
