The Shelby CS8 was the predecessor to the GT500 that arrived in 2007. Shelby and Paxton collaborated to create this supercharged version of the Mustang GT. Additional Modifications include side pipes, American Racing wheels, a Hurst Shifter and Baer brakes.

Jitsu man yep that’s it! To be honest, at $33.5 I would look more towards the 2010-2012 GT500 but this is still a cool car to have in any collection!
Considering how rare it is I would think it would sell for about 80
New England Car Spotting rarity is always cool but you still have to put a value on the car itself and what it has to offer when it comes to being in the category of a performance car. At the sole this is basically a 2006 Mustang GT with a paxton blower. If it had the 5.4L or a different version of the 4.6L then I think ultimately it would be worth much more. $33.5K seems pretty fair to both buyer and seller.

I own a 08 mustang GT sick shift and he nailed it when he said “when you first get into it it’s terrifying and over time you bond with it & you form a relationship” that’s 💯% true. All mustang owners can relate.

What a downshift sound
I absolutely LOVE how this Mustang isn't shy of showing its performance one tiny bit. From idle to full throttle to winding down It literally just screams "LOOK AT ME! I'VE GOT HELLA LOTTA POWER!" That's something even most modern supercars don't do. Just watching this is complete excitement. I can only imagine how thrilling it is to drive this thing, especially sending it on an open country road.
The engine sounds, the bumps, the tunnels, its day time but its got this Need For Speed Underground 2 feeling.

Definitely miss cars like this that take skill to drive. Totally agree - that’s how you cultivate love and passion for a driver’s car. Sadly that seems to be getting less and less viable in today’s market. But at least there are still cars like this to appreciate.
This has got to be one of the most "American" cars ever built. Nothing subtle about it. I love it.

I have a 4.6 paxton stang too. Very true the gas is very touchy. I wish my supercharger blew off like that though and was that loud, my god
Your excellent final thoughts described described the true nature of the auto enthusiast IMHO. I have owned a 2006 V8 for 8 years with with one or two bad cylinders, but I know how to make it work and keep it reliable while every mechanic has told me it'll go in weeks or months. I now have saved the cash to get a new one before they stop the v8. I can take care of a new one like it's family.

The resume is long at this point with old vintage Italian cars and newer big power cars so they are usually happy to toss the keys. It’s tough in the beginning when you can’t point to a hundred cars that you’ve filmed 😆

First car I ever drove was my uncles 2007 rousch mustang gt, didn’t even have my learners and he let me do 130 on the highway god I loved that car

My grandpa owns a 2014 Shelby GT500 SuperSnake. It’s also signed by Carroll Shelby (grandpa ordered it on 2011 and it didn’t get finished until 2014 because he lived in Canada so he wasn’t as much as a priority) and it only has 3 clicks on it. Because he keeps it locked up in a trailer. It’s kinda sad, Carroll made that thing to be driven and to have fun, but he is hoping to make an investment (and also if he breaks it he has to send it back ALL THE WAY OVER TO TEXAS because there is no Shelby American in Canada) a 200,000$ mustang now sits locked up in a trailer in the middle of nowhere, with Carroll’s name written on it...

Man I wish they used the 4.6 or at least had the option for it for the shelbys, that would have been cool. It sounds so good. Would have been interesting to see a shelby 4.0 too.
07-08 Shelby GTs have the 4.6 3v and are largely considered more “Shelby” than GT500s.

It's a supercharger. It's belt driven. Not a turbo. You may only be familiar with roots type superchargers that sit on top of the intake plenum

I never gonna get used to Mustangs thanks to me building twitchy handling light FWD cars. I always had the urge to take a corner faster ane faster, balance is the most important for me when im thinking about the main thing in a car. I drove several Mustangs and.. nothing really compares to it. Its weird, and amazing at the same time. Honestly, i couldnt get used to it, but i need to say that its good fun once-once.

you can always change your dash info, it tells you how many miles are left before empty, it also alerts you when you have 50 miles left. driving an s197 Shelby is not that bad on turns

They handle,Ike crap..but it’s all throttle. Needed long umbilical cord to fuel pump! But dude was a life experience. Did numerous 8 hour trips. So much fun.

I have a 2006 GT and if he was shifting out of 2nd gear at 60 then my stock GT is pretty similar. Probably not as much pull but the danger he talks about is very real.
GT500 Dropped in 2005 brought mine of the showroom floor in Nov. 2005
It's not a predecessor, as the two cars would have been developed together if anything. The GT500 was ready to come out in 2006 and it did, the tail end of it. They just called it an 07 model in traditional fashion.
I got a 2007 sanderson mustang, thing gots a saleen supercharger pushing 550+ hp only 50 of them were made, only 4000 miles on it

The one thing I don’t like about mustangs, coming from someone with a new edge, is the gauge layout. From this camera view, the tach and speedo are a blur. I’m going to change mine to have a central tach like viper, Porsche, ferrari, etc, something much more driver friendly
