    We have these growing EVERYWHERE in my area. The bee knowledge is awesome. Maybe that explains why my bees are so healthy. It's surrounds the bees hive box growing on trees not even 25 feet from them.

    Really caught the Amadou bug these last few months...LOVE THIS GUY'S KNOWLEDGE OF THE SUBJECT......I have found some THST are huge here in Alberta and am going to stretch them and make the world's most BEAUTIFUL leather FAMOUS around the world...

    You should make a fungus education package for beekeepers on your website. With an overview of which fungi on which wood / substrate types would benefit for what in an apiary.

    Since it is good for keeping fire, what is it's insulating factor? It is possible to replace asbestos?

      It's not used for insulation, but as a tinder to carry fire and embers

      From what I read its layers are like the rings from trees so counting them would give you its age.. and apperently they can grow up to eighty years. That off course only happens when the Dead tree they like to live on keeps up that long.. i know that Sounds strange...
