- Ever wonder what it takes to forge a chef’s knife worthy of any professional kitchen FROM SCRATCH?! I sure didn’t, until Max Schroeder of Wardrum Forge invited me to his home-workshop and showed us what is, quite literally, the most METAL craft ever to exist. Max worked and led kitchens for years before moving into tech security, now he forges knives of all varieties for fun. Check it. 🤘🏼 Adam

You’re seriously the most creative of the CZcams chefs. I love how you’re creating content and just having fun with it. I’ve even seen a few of the really big guys start following your ideas. Keep doing you man. I love the content your producing.
Thank you man, that means a lot. I appreciate you tuning in.
This is great. I started watching your cooking videos, then came across my other passion for learning blacksmithing. The knife looks amazing
Thanks man! Yeah he's really talented. I use that knife often.
You are freaking awesome man. I hope your channel blows up 🔝
Gracias, Shane!
As if that blade profile wasn't sick enough, great handle choice dude! Such a fun vid 🔪
Thanks Justin.
@@AdamWitt Did Max make the handle to fit your grip specifically?
This is sick!!!!!!!! Love it so much
Wow, that came out sick.
Damnnnnn adam! Ive heard of monogramed but you went ahead and birthed the whole thing. 😂❤🎉
chyeeeee
Sheeesh
That’s soooooo kick ass!!!!
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻 he’s local? Where is he from? I’m really interested.
Oh never mind he’s a Naperville awesome !!!!!!
He's a beast - wardrumforge.com/
Did he burn his thumb at 2:03?
I cut the whole pad off while hand sanding 😅
What is the core steel, O1? What is the final hardness after temper?
15n20 with 1095 core. Didn't get a chance to throw it on a rockwell. Hardness files put it right around 60.
Do you know what kind of steel he used? 52100?
That's a Max question. I know it's San Mai.
15n20 & 1095
But I did just finish a other one out of straight 52100
He soaked his handle in acid? 😂 lmfao, this guy cant be serious
Why make a new knife and have it look like one from a scrap yard? And what purpose does the hump on the back of the blade serve?
When I see somebody using epoxy without gloves it sends shivers down my spine. This guy will get epoxy allergy.
Don't ever watch me work, then. I do angle grinding using bare hands, despite having clamps typically no more than feet away. 😂🤣
@@noneyabidness9644epoxy is a totally different thing. You can be lucky all your life while grinding, but with epoxy you will get allergy sooner or later (sometimes you get it after a couple of times, sometimes after many years). When you keep on working with it despite the allergy, you can get to a stage when you basically can't hold a part that was glued with it without getting an allergy reaction.
