  • Dr. Kevin from abundantyou.com demonstrates another insane 30 minute HIIT workout using an elliptical. This elliptical workout will push your to your MAXIMUM. #EllipticalWorkout #HIITWorkout #Elliptical
An elliptical machine with handles is one of the few cardio machines that can provide you with both an upper- and lower-body workout. The key to maximizing the full-body benefits is to distribute your weight and resistance evenly by pumping your arms just as fast as you’re moving your legs.
The elliptical is known for putting less stress on your joints, making it great for people with bad knees or hips. Studies show that it can significantly reduce weight bearing compared to running, jogging, and similar workouts. This also means its the perfect choice to cross train your body without the wear and tear that comes with high-impact exercises. I love working out on an elliptical machine!
Most people use an elliptical to get their steady-state cardio workouts in. I however, recommend it for more high-intensity interval training like this workout! HIIT workouts will maximize the fat burning effects in a shorter amount of time.
Please feel free to increase your elliptical resistance or incline, to target specific leg muscles and make your HIIT workout more challenging. The higher the pitch the more butt activation you will get by the way. I recommend increasing the pitch as the rounds move forward, gradually.
Remember, HIIT workouts and elliptical workout machines are amazing for you fitness and health! However, they should not be overused and be the only exercises you do. You need different muscle activation, progressive load changes, and variations with all your workout routines. #EllipticalWorkout #Elliptical #HIITWorkout
I recommend to perform a 10-30 minute HIIT workout 2-3 times a week, with 24 hour rest in between HIIT workouts, in addition to other variety of fitness activities like weight-training.
This NEW elliptical workout video is 30 minutes of sprint training, going as hard as you can for 12 rounds of 30 seconds, spaced with 90 seconds of low intensity. It's important to catch your breath FULLY before each round so you can really push it to the max!

I love it, my only critique would be to time the music to 120 bpm during the push sections for more audio focused workout people like myself. Some times it's better to pace towards the music instead of counting in my head.

I can do it completely now.. at the beginning, it was hard, but now I can do it better. I also reduced my food intake. The hardest part was leaving the bed at 6 am and starting, but now it's ok. If you really give it your all it almost feels like 90 seconds are not enough for you to catch your breath, but, once you hit it hard again you forget about not being able to catch your breath. For the last 5 years I’ve been through a health crisis, my Rhuematoid arthritis got really bad then I had a stroke caused by plaque build up in the right carotid artery in my neck. After my operation 2 years ago I decided to completely alter my diet and exercise. I was 14st 2lbs, 5 feet 9 inch, a bmi of 29.4. I bought an elliptical trainer and found some videos on CZcams. Wow when I first completed the 1st 20 min HIIT workout by Dr Kevin I thought it was too much.... but kept going. Then after about 2 months of doing it 3 the times a week I found the 30 min workout and I REALLY had to give it everything. But the difference is amazing. I feel I’ve left everything on that machine afterwards. Btw I now weigh 11stone 5 lbs and my BMI is 23.4. Great! Big thanks to Dr Kevin for the motivation in this workout to keep going.

I've been doing this exact workout for about a year now and Ive never been healthier. I think the reason this workout is so great is because it breaks 30 minutes down into increments with upbeat music to keep up the motivation. A year ago, if someone asked me if i could do a high intensity workout on an eliptical for 30 mins i wouldve told them no way. But because it was broken down so well and predictably, i just had to focus on what i was doing in the next minute. Great job, and i hope to see more videos like this one.

@@AbundantYou So sorry, I totally missed your question. I have an Ice Age Trail that runs along our property. Whenever we camp, we find local trails to hike as well. Thanks again for this workout. I love it!

I love these HIIT videos. I alternate the elliptical and the rowing machine ones 6 days a week. The only thing that bugs me is the commercials in the rowing machine video. Thank you for helping to keep me in shape.
