i got scammed by one of these sites once, i even put like $100 on there. It was very obvious that the 'girls' or whoever was talking were simply interested in just keeping you typing as much as possible until your credits dried up. Honestly cam girls have turned out to be more open and real than the 'girls' on that site were.. And yes, if the algo ever catches you looking at one of those sites you can be sure that it will show you all of them, there must be thousands of such sites, it's pretty insane. With even a cursory glance you'll notice that basically all of them are running the same site software with just slightly different themes and colors.

I've heard of these type of sites but I javelin not used them.
I had an uncle that did this back in the late 90s before the internet version of the scam. They would organize trips for the men to go to Russia and meet the women. Interestingly enough, he did end up marrying and bringing a Russian woman to the states. My uncle was middle aged, unambitious, and not too bright. However, his new wife was young, pretty and had a wicked sense of humor. She found a good job, made friends easily and remained married to him just long enough to stay in the country… then asked for a divorce. I felt bad for him, but not sure why he expected something different.

I tried the mail order bride thing, but the shipping and handling charges were so high, that I cancelled the order and went to the animal shelter and got me a freaking cat. 😺.

A 50 year old woman works at my local post office in Colorado. She came here 15 years ago as a mail order bride and she and her husband are still married and very cute together. She is refreshingly, brutally honest and funny.
80% of all American / foreign marriages are successful and when it comes to American / Russian marriages the divorce rate is even less at 14%….. bear in mind that most marriages aren’t your stereotypical (scammy) mail order bride situation, most meet through the real FSU dating circle and are typically age appropriate with the women over 40. They well matched physically and the women are usually highly educated and financially independent…. It’s actually no different to western dating, apart from the travel.

It’s been a few years since I read the 20% statistics (I’ll find it and post later today), but the 14% data come directly from a friend who works in the Russian equivalent of the births, deaths and marriages department in Krasnodar, Southern Russia. It’s actually statistics for Russian marriages to all nationalities who married in Russia before moving abroad to the spouses country.
Although many of such marriages work out, the disasters are the ones that get all the attention. Thus, perceptions get negatively formed.

I am married to a Russian woman,we met back in 1995 when I was working in Moscow as a pilot for a energy company and she worked for the same company. We dated for 3 years and were already planning to get married when my job ended and I had to return to the U.S. She followed me 2 months later and we have been married 24 years, and now have two children and 3 grandchildren. We do travel back to Russia to spend time with her family every couple of years.
The old fashioned way is the best. Dating agencies only work if both parties are there genuinely signed up because they are lonely and want a relationship. They have their place and some couples need that go between to help. Otherwise you need to do the hard work and communicate with people and then something clicks and you realise it is something more. A marriage has so many stresses money, children, health so picking from a list given to you is a bit of a massive gamble especially if the motives for both parties are not open and clear.

I met a Russian girl on the net and was almost ready to send her money to bring her here to the US. At the time I worked at night and so did the cleaning crew for the building, they were all Russian. One morning I saw the wife of one of the cleaning guys, it was the girl I was talking to. Never saw or heard from her again. Be real careful out there as some people are not who they seem.

I met my wife from Saint Petersburg in 2003 because she wrote to me. There is so much negativity about Russians and Russia, I wanted to visit Russia anyway to see for myself and for a holiday. I found Russians friendly and helpful people, gorgeous women. Twenty years later and I still have the hottest hottie in town! We lived 5 years in the UK, now in South Africa. Three daughters, they are trilingual and speak 100% native Russian without accent.

Hey :) We left UK in 01/2010 when the electricity was still on in South Africa. I'd much rather prefer to live around Saint Petersburg than in ZA (South Africa). My in-laws' house (close to Petergof) don't even have a key for their house. Zero crime. My wife doesn;t want to go back, she says it is too cold. 26 years married to a Russian woman. I only paid for my own travel . No letter fees. no agency actually. Even then I was aware of scams. I had money but I made sure to not look like I had any. 6 months of E mail (direct address) before I decided to travel. 3 weeks together in Russia before I thought of proposing. It's possible to find someone anywhere. Like most things 80% of your expenses happen after you get them.

@@GameHEADtime If you did not understand, that was almost 3 decades ago. Everything has changed since then. If you are really serious and have the money, your best bet is to travel there and spend some time there looking. And you are going to need money, flight travel, fees, etc.

Good video and thanks for sharing. A friend of mine actually DID MARRY a mail order bride and they have now been married for nearly 20 years. Her life was very poor and he owned his own business. Still does to this day and he is nearly 60 now. He had never been married so at 40 he found the sites and went overseas to meet her. They got along and he moved her to the United States and got married. She is still absolutely GORGEOUS!

Sadly watched a male co-worker succumb to dishing good money out to one of those sites. He finally realized it was getting too expensive which led him to the fact he was being scammed. He really needed a mental health counselor, he had other issues as well.

And very possible to find people that went WAY OVER what was acievable and then yelled scam because the fat poor guy didn't land the super model as a trophy wife. About 90% of so called scam reports are this actually. False claims.
Easy to spot a scammer. Send me $. Translation and stuff is an honest business. A girl seeking a husband is hardly going to talk to one person. More like 20. Same as the guy. And there will be agencies out there that pay girls to take pictures and possibly even show up for a video call. With no inention of ever being with anyone. Is this any different then dating here at home where she wants you to take her to the uber expensive restaurant on date 1 and spend $1000 when she already decided she is not really interested in you?

Thank you for sharing this difficult part of your life. I had a friend awhile ago that was probably one of the most heart felt people I knew, came from Germany, and yes, he was rich. I knew him because he owned a bunch of Bentleys. He would tell me about this Russian woman he met and we all were saying, "you know she just wants you for your money" and he would say he already knew that, but for him he felt he was saving her from whatever she came from and that if she made it like he did, from nothing in Germany to being rich in America that he'd have done something in his life and hoped that she would pass it along. I never met the woman and I always worried it was something like this, but like him I thought, hey, if he's helping someone get out of poverty and they got to share something then maybe it was worth it. I'll never know. I just hope you whoever it was learned what it means to have a big heart and I know that when you live a life of suffering that doesn't mean much, so take it or leave it, but there it is. Some people have money, but all they can give is their heart and the idea that people would spit on that just makes me sick. Oh well, such is the world. It's why we choose our friends wisely.
I met my Russia wife via the internet - but NOT through a Dating Site. I went to Russia for 5 weeks and then brought her to my country for 7 months to let her see if she could adjust and live here. We have been together since 2000. At home we speak a mixture of Russian/English but I am not fluent in Russian; much as I would like to be. I had thought of using a Dating Site, but opted for a contact via the internet - I am glad I did as the Dating Sites looked so superficial and "contrived". By the way, my wife is from rural Russia, a small town called Krymsk and has wonderful Russian family values. She was Orthodox Christian but adopted my Protestant beliefs.

Hello Nestya! I actually searched my Russian wife through those agencias. What you say is 99.9 % correct. Then I traveled to Russia and became friend of some agencies' staff. They told me everything and the business aspects. I met a woman, met her family, then we married and have two children. So, yes it's possible to find a Russian woman and marry her so long as a man travels to Russia and spends some time there. Of those men registered in marriage agencies, only 20 % are seriously looking for a woman. Of those 20% only 5% are able to travel to Russia. An of those 5% only 1 percent get married. Most of the money is dumped in the marriage agencies. So, if someone is serious, the best approach would be to go an visit the country. If there is no luck, at least being in touch with the Russian soul is worth it as a life experience. By the way, my exwife became very sick and she is no longer with us. I really enjoy your videos.

My wife and I were in a restaurant in St. Petersburg Russia and there was a 60+ year old American talking to a "mail order bride" and the conversation was translated by a woman who was sitting next to the "bride". It was a strange experience waiting for our meal and listening to the conversation. She was very beautiful but she couldn't speak a word of English. Not sure how that relationship would work out.
It takes about two years for someone in a new language environment to start getting abreast of the language. I noticed this with immigrant children at my school, when I was younger. Sometimes behaviour speaks louder than words, in terms of understanding character.
That man was also paying the "translator", to the tune of $25/hr or more, and the translator was working with the date to extract as much money from the man as possible.
It would be great. He won’t have to listen to her complain.

My brother in law married a real mail-order-bride from Russia. She spoke good English, was beautiful, and had a wonderful personality. The marriage was an instant success, her moving to the USA and loving it, and they opened a barbecue restaurant which was very successful. It ended tragically when he had a terminal heart attack. She is still in the USA but not married yet after 7 years. From meeting her I can see that a Russian woman would be MUCH more desirable than an American woman!
As an older single man, I did look at these sites, but I always get the feeling I am talking to a guy.

They really do believe that, at least many of them do. I saw a documentary once where they interviewed men who had wasted thousands of dollars on scams like this, some even going deeply into debt. What she describes is the surface. After that, when men are really hooked, they start asking for money outside of the website supposedly directly to the women. For travel often, to go and meet, but then of course her dad gets sick, and it has to be cancelled. And wait a minute, now that we made up that her dad is sick, that's a great excuse to ask for money for the hospital bills... well, you can probably imagine how it works. Those men were truly devastated, both financially, but also oddly really heartbroken over a woman that's probably not even real.

A man who was local construction foreman got caught in mail order bride from Russia, he was robbed of $25000 and when he found out or finally realized it was a scam he took his own life in shame. I work nights at hospital administration and was there when they brought him in and I was very sad to see such a good person end this way.
Now I think I know how a fish feels when it grabs what it thinks is a tasty smaller fish, only to find out it's actually a shiny piece of metal being dragged through the water on a string.
Damn, poor men, they are just mature guys that feel lonely but simply just lack the social skills to meet someone, and then some nasty people decides to scam them by giving them a false illusion to pursue.

I have friends in Russia and Eastern Europe. For some strange reason, men from other countries think they are easy. Nothing is further from the truth. Most of them have better things to do than sleep around.
I’ve been dating in Russia from abroad for 8 years and I 100% agree with you. It’s definitely not for desperate or novice daters and you have to be realistic….. Successful men generally date women their own age and the women are typically 40+, divorced and or single mothers. There are no hordes of stunning young models desperate to date middle aged men, but there is the opportunity to date and maybe marry an age appropriate, highly educated and often financially independent woman who looks after herself physically.

I think the word/s you're thinking about, instead of "vacancy", is "position", "job", or "job description". The first two are almost interchangeable, but a job description is a written explanation of what the position or job is. Position is more about where in a company you fit and what jobs you'll do there and job is just saying you're employed or the tasks you're doing in your position. I wrote that out just to see if I could...since most people don't really consider the nuances of their language.

You have done a great public service for a lot of lonely men out there. I must say that I heard about and this decades ago (long after I'd been married) and wondered about it. I've even seen specials on the subject on US TV shows (typically showing the disappointment by both sides - the woman who was willing to marry an older man for financial stability, which she didn't find, and the man who thought that he was marrying a "slave" (essentially) and was surprised that the woman had a mind of her own and didn't think that he was her "savior" and thus didn't feel like she had to sacrifice her life at the alter of >his< happiness. The fact that today it is even beyond that (that these are mostly catfishing sites) is even worse. Sadness. Makes me glad that I've been married for over 40 years now and not "shopping" ;)

married my wife from Ukraine all good no issues. Yes if you try to find a woman 20+ years younger its probably not going to work. But if you keep it within 15 years, treat her well and are serious. It will workout great - most men unfortunately do get taken advantage of and never end up even having a relationship with the woman.

Thanks for explaining how this works. My reaction is these men, even though they are being manipulated, are experiencing a connection to the outside world they may not otherwise have. Yet this explains why we should not take dating sights from Russia and Ukraine seriously.

I used some of these sites 2011-2014. I wish someone would have made this video back then. I experienced first hand exactly what you said. I made several trips and spent a lot of money. I don't regret it though. I had many good trips and experiences. But of course, I was never successful at finding another wife. FYI my first wife died in 2011, so I was single/widowed at the time.

Excellent video. I know three Russian women who have been "mail order brides" One is still married to the guy! Second was a sad story (of course) but it ended well. She is now married to a good man and now lives well as suburban American wife and mother. The third has been married four times and is still failing at relationships but I think that was her destiny always.

We are working hard to bring these people to justice and to to make sure you understand it, we will also bankrupt any woman who presented herself as a model and let herself register to show herself on the site. The translators are a bit more difficult to find, but sometimes they mess up and we get some small set of information to dig further into. The moment we are okay with men trying to find love, are mostly unattractive and just like our biblical Samson are easily manipulated, that's where my sympathy ends. We jhad 7 women and 11 men being totally financially destroyed, but it took us 1,5 years.. So it's not really an awesome set of numbers, but the feeling when it worked was beyond any other feeling. Our quest will continue.

I had a co-worker who married a girl from Russia through one of these programs. I've lost touch with him over the years, but I know 6 years on they still had a great marriage. This was way back in the early 1990s during the time that you met a Russian bride through a VHS tape they would send out. 🙂 I'd imagine that most of these places are exactly what you describe though. I think the issue for many men here is the lack of confidence they have with women and feeling like they have something to offer women from Russia gives them confidence they would not have to approach an American woman.
