  • This ready to fly fighter plane is a ton of fun for intermediate and above fliers. Fast and maneuverable, it can be flown fully gyro stabilized while still allowing stunt aerobatics. If you get into trouble in a stunt, just let go of the sticks and the plane will quickly and automatically level itself. Find the Spitfire here bit.ly/EachineSpitfire

    and here are some more neat planes from Eachine/Volantex (not WWII):

    Eachine Mini F-16 Falcon bit.ly/MiniF16Falcon
    Pros
    - Ready to fly plane with included transmitter.
    - True four channel airplane with throttle, elevator, rudder, and aileron control.
    - Plenty of power from its 1020 brushed motor.
    - Three selectable flight modes. Beginner mode includes full 6 axis stabilization (3 axis gyro and 3 axis accelerometer). Also includes angle restrictions that prevent the aircraft rolling or pitching over. Intermediate "Midd" mode also includes 6 axis stabilzation, but turns off pitch angle restrictions to allow aerobatic stunts. Expert mode turns off all stabilization for fully aerobatic manual flying.
    - Controller also includes a stunt button that allows the airplane to automatically conduct aileron rolls.
    - Quick disconnect propeller saver automatically disconnects the propeller in a crash to prevent propeller or motor damage. Propeller can be quickly reattached after the crash to continue flying.
    - Very efficient flier as compared to some of the previous warbirds. It's 3.7V 400mah battery provides about 15 minutes of flight time.
    - One key return feature will automatically fly the plane in the opposite direction that it was pointed at takeoff.
    - Constructed of flexible and crash resistant EPP foam.
    - Can be flown with multi-protocol transmitters using V761 protocol. I demonstrate such in the above video.
    Cons
    - Brushed motor airplane. Its motor will eventually fail some day. Strongly recommend allowing 15 minutes motor cool down between flights to improve motor longevity.

    These Eachine Warbirds are hands down the best RTF 400mm planes ever made and a total game changer to the hobby. I've collected an entire squadron of them. They look beautiful, fly beautiful, they're very durable and the price is affordable for any budget. And the flight times are incredible.

      @@MrAllancord I have 9 out of 10 Warbirds and it's so hard to choose a favorite. They all fly beautifully and look so good in the air. The P51 flies amazing, but it's the one Warbird variant that uses kinda crappy foam washer landing gear wheels that don't freely spin so ground takeoffs and landings always get botched, so its strictly a hand throw launch with the P51. Even though its landing gear isn't great, it's still better to leave it on because without it, you're belly landing right on the prop and that 4 way servo underneath. But every other Warbird comes with much better landing gear with free spinning wheels for easy ground takeoff and landing. The Spitfire is really great and so are the Bf109's and the Zero if you can find it. I have the P40, Corsair and Trojan too but haven't flown them yet so I can't comment on how they fly compared to the other four models. And the beginner mode on all of them is very forgiving and offers really smooth flight for getting used to it. Intermediate mode is where Warbirds shine the most as flyers. I don't fly them in expert mode, you lose the gyro and the control throws are super quick.

    Nice Lawrence Welk imitation ... ha ha. I notice that the P51 is selling for a lot cheaper out of the USA warehouse (its the only one available from the USA warehouse). I wonder why you didn't use elevator trim to keep it from climbing under power. It seems to be a bit out of trim or balance. It's a good flyer but it will be difficult to land if you don't have a smooth landing surface. Once you get it trimmed, you should try a stall-spin. Point it into the wind, climb until it nearly stops; chop throttle to 1/4 then simultaneously give full left rudder, left ailerone & up elevator. That would be a good test to see how well the auto stabilize works. BTW, I'm sure you'll see a few sunny days before April. Thanks for the review. Cheers (Happy New Year)

    The "Eachine" re-branded Mini Wing Dragon/Mini Cessna/Mini P-47 Razorback and the FMS/EazyRC re-branded Mini PA-18 (OEM unknown) all use MT99XX/Dragon sub-protocol. EDIT. The protocol for the Mini PA-18 has been tweaked a bit . It is available for multi radios as MT99XX2 on the latest multi firmware.

    • @Quadcopter101
      @Quadcopter101  Před 2 lety +1

      It depends on your charging power source. If you use a computer USB port, to recharge it then yeah it may take that long. But if you use a good 2 amp phone wall charger, it should cut that recharge time significantly.

    • @Quadcopter101
      @Quadcopter101  Před 2 lety +1

      There are actually two hatches. There is a smaller front hatch is for replacing the motor if needed. The back hatch is just behind the battery bay and aileron X horn, and is for replacing the receiver or servos. Both doors are held in place by friction, and can be removed by grabbing the edges of the door with your fingernails.

    Hey flyers, question! How do you know when to replace the transmitter 4xAA batteries? Will it give a warning beep or flash of some sort? The idea of losing the transmitter and having the plane disappear into the distance sounds disastrous but there's no mention of this in the manual. Thanks!

    • @theoztreecrasher2647
      @theoztreecrasher2647 Před rokem +2

      I can't say for certain with this model since they are not hard on transmitter batteries and we generally use a Multi Protocol Radio pretty soon after we get them. However most of the cheapies usually blink the Tx LED and/or the Tx starts to beep when the batteries get low. These V761 planes sold today will not fly off anyway. If signal is lost the motor shuts down in a couple of seconds but the stabilization remains active. Thus it might pay to have your rudder a bit off-center normally to make it circle a bit rather than glide straight off as it comes down.

    As soon as you switched to expert mode, the plane was climbing. This is the first thing to check with the eachine minis. You need to correct the trim mechanically by bending the pushrods accordingly. When the trim is set, you will wonder how stable the plane flies, when switching to expert mode. Even the other two modes will benefit, as the Gyro doesnt have to fight the incorrect trim setting. Many people who switch to expert mode the first time are surprised, how the little plane flies with factory trim, switch back and never again try expert mode. When the trim is set correctly, its big fun flying in expert mode and if losing control let the Gyro save the plane by simply switching back to intermediate.

      It's designed to do that in a crash. It prevents damage to the propeller, propeller shaft, and motor. Just snap it back on.

    Mine came without a tailwheel and Eachine have been a real pain in the rear to deal with. I've flown it twice and will continue to do so without any undercarriage.
    It is definitely a little more twitchy than the P-51 in pitch and it won't loop in intermediate as the the P-51. It does look really authentic in the air in certain aspects, particularly a low banking pass.

    Happy new year!!!! Cool video pal! I have the Trojan and I’m a lil disappointed since the acro mode flies crazy although I tried to trim it… the tail might not be straight…
    The prices are crazy too!!! I paid 50$ and now it’s a hundred… now most of the eachine mini are around that price, to be honest it’s way too expensive for this toy, you can have a serious brushless for a lil more….
    It’s fun thought in intermediate… and it’s small so you don’t need a huge field to play with it…

    • @Quadcopter101

      Try calibrating the gyros by hanging the wings level without using the landing gear. Please see the following. static.rcgroups.net/forums/attachments/8/7/5/0/6/7/a15697121-104-20211230_190605.jpg
      If the gyros are calibrated using the landing gear as support, the plane might fly tail heavy when you turn off the gyros. This may startle as the plane may pitch rapidly up. But if you calibrate with the wings level as shown in the picture, it should then be a smoother transition when you throw the switch.

      @@Quadcopter101 thanks! I had today the first flights acro mode, trimming like crazy the ailerons and I was still rolling a little.
      I moved the horn on the servo… let’s see tomorrow…
      That was cool, but not much power for barrel rolls, neither loopings, not much range either…
