After being diagnosed with endometrial cancer 6 days before her wedding, Andrea had to grapple with the idea of removing her reproductive organs.
How did she and her partner Weihao, whose life goal is to get married and have kids, navigate this setback, face a potential future without biological children, and still strive to keep their vows to one another - “to love in sickness & in health”?

To ask someone if she’s feeling guilty is to imply that she did something wrong which she didnt. Really tactless of the interviewer.
Yeah. Guilty of what? Did she do anything wrong? Is she ever at fault for what happened? No... never. So the interviewer implying that is just sooo unprofessional
U can get feel guilty also when u are offered something (kindness etc.) that u may not think u deserve, regardless of whether u actually deserve it or not

the interviewer wasn't very sensitive towards the interviewee when she asked, "are you guilty?". come on, you can ask things like, how did you feel etc. poor girl just broke down.

Yeah like it's as if the interviewer think she need to feel guilty. She made no mistake. The husband don't even have that goal anymore, it wasn't something that he wanted that badly, he's probably just glad Andrea is alive and well... so that's such a malicious and leading question
Asian dont need some self reserve when asking question. Sometimes money causes insensitive life.
Agreed, I'll see interviews done by OGS and their interviewers have more empathy.

I'm not going to read the comments because I didn't see any malice. When I see someone young get cancer and a brain tumor, I can't help but shed a few tears. I think it's great that you found someone you can do stupid things together, laugh and cry together. I wish you health and happiness.

Wish the interviewer would’ve been more nuanced and sensitive in handling such a vulnerable question for the wife. To ask her blatantly about guilt was rather harsh and designed to bring her to tears I feel.
Ikr like why should she feel guilty did she ask for all this? No. She's only surviving and having a happy relationship with her husband, I bet he's just glad that Andrea is alive and well. The interviewer should stop tryna dig up trauma smh

Are you serious? Is this the kind of quality interviewer and reporting that mothership has? Andrea was so nice to grant you all an interview with her. Every other potential interviewee should look at this video before considering to do an interview with mothership.

Yeah but that is the pure unvarnished reaction of someone who finds out. And on some level, I rather that.
It’s easy for a couple to want to commit to each other when everything is going well in life
But when things aren’t going the most smoothly and y’all still choose to commit to each other - that’s as true a relationship as it gets ❤

My fiance was diagnosed with cancer shortly after he proposed. I stayed by his side till the end not out of obligation but by choice. He went my arms. The time we spent together during his illness brought us closer than ever. No regrets whatsoever. Real love is a rare commodity and privilege these days. Those who get to experience it are the luckiest souls.

What a strong and beautiful couple! (and adorable cats). The interviewer was really tactless in this, asking questions like 'Oh, then how?' and 'Do you feel guilty?' comes across as very disrespectful to the subject matter they are discussing. The couple is sharing a vulnerable part of their life story with us, and they deserve the kindness and respect from a proper interviewer.

deeply touched and as an current cancer patient undergoing treatment, family support specially your partner is very important... specially before going for surgery as you cannot describe that kind of hopeless feeling before going under the knife... but you know you have to be strong or stronger for your other half...

Are those questions prepared beforehand? If so, thats really tactless. She didn't expect to get cancer, nobody would expect it and asking her if she felt guilt like as if she's in the wrong is really outright insensitive especially for something that's out of her control
