Impressive video. I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2016 with 170k in school loan debt). Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly voo, but have been putting a lot into schd the past few months. I dunno if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance.

Maybe that is why "move-in ready" has not been a phrase to describe any places I've lived in in a long time, and I've come to see that as a strength (though as I get older I may revisit that outlook:)

They weren't hasty about it, which is why it took 2 years to renovate and now they are in a win/win situation. Impressive work! However I think it's a bit of a shame that you kept so little of the original asthetics. Imo the original floor tiles and the brick walls gave some much character to the place. Would've loved to see those incorporated into the final product. Still, absolutely amazing work! 👏

It’s not a shame at all... they were ugly
People should be allowed to think something is ugly and not merely appreciate something based off how old it is....
      Out with the old..
It’s exactly how the very first builders thought.
Take a photo and burn it or cover it up..
Jeez we would literally never progress at all if we kept everything based on historical value
      They are simply crap.

@@Psybo Progress can be made without destroying the past. Plenty of opportunities to build new housing if you want something new. Old buildings should be preserved or at least retain some of their original features and character.
I saw one house where they had left a square of the original wallpaper behind perspex to imagine how the house once looked. They could have done something similar with the tiled floor.

Just by watching you do all that work
    Crazy
I don’t mind painting a wall , or fixing a back yard or clean a garage or remodel a house…
But to renovate a whole place like a construction work and turn a ruined factory to a house it’s way too much work
Any way… great job ! Like speechless 😶
