Impressive video. I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2016 with 170k in school loan debt). Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly voo, but have been putting a lot into schd the past few months. I dunno if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance.
I’m thinking of doing the same but not sure if I should use different brokerage accounts? Just Curious. Pros and cons ?
Instead of using different brokerage accounts to purchase index funds or individual stock, compare your age(s) and how much time you have estimated till retirement, you can also opt to consulting/working with a fund manager/advisor for an “optimal strategy” to outperform the bear market.

Where I live it would be cheaper and faster to build a new house than renovate this run down factory
@Todd m Nah, if it's really that expensive think about the market. What rich person would want to live in an industrial part of the city?
@Todd m ok bro..I've actually built and renovated custom houses. I know what I'm talking about. I'm just saying it's easier and cheaper to build a new house than renovate this factory. And finding a hipster client like that is harder than you think. You obviously don't know this field.
@Todd m Omg bro, why are you so angry? 😂 I am just stating facts and I don't really care what your opinion is (you have no experience). You should really learn to read. I did not say they can't do it. I said it's harder and more expensive. Maybe they can turn a profit. Maybe they will use that space for their business (the video itself would help them recoup money). But it will be much harder to sell.
@Todd m Also I'm done with you. You have nothing of value to say.
The fact they knew how to do all this!! Very impressive!! 👏👏👏👏
Very impressive. I wouldn’t even know how to speed things up with my camera let alone remodel a huge building
I am sure they didn't know everything. It's learning by doing. Friends of mine are doing something like this but much smaller. They also learn by doing and only hire professionals if necessary.

@@marcello3945 It's Thanos' Starship attack proof.
They didn't know everything. They also hired professionals on tasks they needed help and didn't know how to do. Incredible. I am retired from this after 40 years as a carpenter, home builder and commercial and concrete contractor. I know there is a burnout stage when you never seem you are making progress and then it all begins to take shape and you get your second and third wind. Congratulations on your hard work, you will always be able to take care of your family! I became a pastor in the middle of it all and never took a salary because I could do this. You guys are amazing. Blessings on you!

This is gorgeous! And makes me wish I had made videos like this when my partner and I turned a barn into a passive solar home twenty years ago! The one thing I have learned with every renovation I have done then and since is to just expect everything will take at least three times longer than you plan for, and cost three times as much, if you are lucky:) Still, the results are always worth it. Great job, Rachel & Emilien!
How did you first start if you dont mind me asking?
Thanks for the timescale expectation tip!
@@kerenheka8430 Just seeing this. I am not sure if you are asking the Original Posters, or me. But, for me, it's always a culmination of desire, vision and economics: what do I want, does it exist, and what resources (including but not limited to, money) do I have to make it happen? Maybe that is why "move-in ready" has not been a phrase to describe any places I've lived in in a long time, and I've come to see that as a strength (though as I get older I may revisit that outlook:)
This almost gives me the motivation to fix my bedroom door. Soon... soon...

Yep! This was an epic transformation....and a breath of fresh air to watch! You can tell that they're down to earth.
My brain cannot comprehend taking on such an enormous task. I can only imagine the amount of planning that went into it.
The money is the most important. They seem to be in the trade anyways so doing small handy work saves a ton of money. Added with how cheap you bought it and building it right only takes once’s. Forever they get to enjoy a palace.
If it's really abandoned and not bought, then they just scored a gem right there. Although i'm guessing that in every country, even if a building is abandoned, you still need to pay for the land or something like. They weren't hasty about it, which is why it took 2 years to renovate and now they are in a win/win situation. If in the future they wanna sell this place, it's gonna be easily worth 5 times more what it was. Basically "Arbitrage".
There’s no planning you just do it

Find someone who’s father is a contractor or who has skills. More then likely those skills are passed down through the family, or the interest is there. If people never see the benefit of something young, it’s hard to engrave that into someone who’s been pampered. I’ve seen it so many times.

Yes! I was sooo sad!
I swear I feel exhausted
Just by watching you do all that work
Crazy
I don’t mind painting a wall , or fixing a back yard or clean a garage or remodel a house…
But to renovate a whole place like a construction work and turn a ruined factory to a house it’s way too much work
Any way… great job ! Like speechless 😶
They work with renovations. They made their house and an advertisement for their company at the same time.
This is magnificent. Soooo much work it's insane. You're artists is all I can say...
Best thing I love is u guys enjoying ur work and friendship
