- The Reclaim Party UK leader Laurence Fox says UK police have no interest in “policing actual crime” after arresting an army veteran for posting an offensive meme on Facebook.
In footage of the arrest taken by Mr Fox, who created the meme, officers tell the 51-year-old veteran someone had “been caused anxiety” based on the social media post, which was the reason for the arrest.
“The police obviously realised that they massively disproportionately overdone this so they quickly released Darren and dropped all charges, surprise, surprise,” he told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.
The police need to be arrested for false arrest.

I was a doorman for many years and you get a good insight into how the UK police force can fail in many departments, with officers often protecting one another and being a law unto themselves. An off duty CID officer, (undercover cop in the UK), often came into the club, asking me to keep an eye on his car, in the carpark. He would then leave the club much later, being totally intoxicated/over the limit, as he drove off. Another instance, was when two off duty police officers were refused entry to the club for being too drunk, at this point they then decided to urine at the main entrance, while people were still walking past them into the club. It was after these actions that we decided to call their superior, who came down almost straight away. He then went over to them, muttered something to both of them and then drove off. What's unbelievable, a few weeks later the same off duty officers came to the club again and were refused entry again, for being too drunk, obviously no wiser from their previous law breaking activities a few weeks before. If I had been caught urinating in a doorway, or stopped for drink driving, I can guarantee what the consequences would have been! We didn't have CCTV in those days, I wonder if that would have made a difference to their actions, or would the evidence have been tampered with? So do we need police? of course we do, or society would live in a state of anarchy, but there needs to be big changes from the top down.

"Can't tell u" I won't let u in then "breaks down door, continues to break in to every room in the house, spends a good half hr - hr checking under beds etc no warrant no masks , when they leave they leave behind a "police visitation" note that said they was there for 5 minutes

I've made this observation about mental health versus actual healthcare in the US. If a condition is caused by anxiety, which is entirely subjective, how many people are living with legitimate biological issues unnecessarily? In the same vein if someone calls me fat and I have PTSD what does that mean for a 1st responder or soldier who is permanently harmed in the line of duty? All of this is complete madness but we are so far down the path and masses still refuse to see. I don't know how we can recover a reality that is largely accepted.

I have always believed that quite a few people, that join the police force, do so to satisfy their innate power complexes. There may be a few that really feel they are doing their duty for the community. But, I'm not convinced that it's the majority. Unfortunately police forces are used more often for control of decent citizens than for control of crime.

In 2017 (I think) my late mother, who had dementia, went missing on a shopping trip with her sister. For literally the first time in my life I phoned the police for help. And today, looking back, I cannot fault them. They were amazing. They were kind, thoughtful; they listened. They took me in the police car to patrol the streets looking for her; we even walked the length of a shopping mall looking for her. In the end we found her safe and sound 100 yards from where she disappeared, getting her nails done in House of Fraser (with the help of some amused shop assistants!). That was *real* policing, with a real human touch. Today, I have no idea what is going on with the police, but I can't believe how quickly things have deteriorated. It can't go on like this. Hopefully common sense will prevail. They have already removed all woke training courses from police academies, so that's a start. But they shouldn't have been introduced in the first place.

I'm a British man, I live in Britain, I'm absolutely disgusted by my country's police force...... once upon a time the local pigs took a penchant to me they arrested me time after time for years due to my toxic ex throwing very nasty very untrue accusations around, so there I was sat in a police cell (the 4th fathers day in a row that she had me arrested over her lies) I just thought....... I'm not having this anymore 🤷♂️ so I sued the FILTHY pigs for the part they played in assisting my ex's abuse of me, they had zero evidence as there was zero crime that had been committed. It may seem like a small victory to most, but it was a huge victory for me. I've not heard a peep from the pigs, or my ex from that day forth I've now enjoyed a 3 year period of peace, no pigs, no ex's lies and I've managed to do the whole non contact to finally rid myself of the 19 years of abuse at the hands of that animal and her pig puppets, onward and upward, however I am going to raise my children to be very wary of the British pigs and their behaviour. In fact I might just emigrate with my babies 😎👌

The law is useless and the police of course follows political interest, not interests of the society. What kind of law is that if it says: don't cause anxiety? Anxiety is something very subjective and you just can't build a proper law on it.

Sadly it's true. I was assaulted with a lethal weapon recently. Fairly nasty wound. Police didn't even attend. I could have identified the attacker. All I got was a phone call 2 days later asking me what happened and how I identified ethnically.
