It's amazing how good Shark products are. They really revolutionized the vacuum world when they made affordable vacuums that could outperform Dyson. I will never buy Dyson products cause they are way overpriced.
Do I need a carpet cleaner? No, but am I going to watch this video? Absolutely
YES! Thank you!
@@VacuumWarsbecause your tests are informative ✅
Agreed!!
Thought I didn’t need one either but bought it anyways.
The dirty water bucket assured me I was indeed WRONG.
Did I already have a carpet cleaner? (The Bissel Pro Heat X2) yes I did, did I watch the video to see if and where it was on the list? Absolutely
Thank you for all of your had work and dedication to your craft, it is greatly appreciated!!!
So nice of you!
Thank you!
Didn’t think I needed one. Grabbed up the bissell hydro steam anyways ….
I’m obsessed with cleaning things with it now. Example : cleaning carpets until it ran clean.
The dirty water bucket did indeed assure me that I was WRONG. I needed it.
So glad you are happy with it!
I have the Bissell Revolution HydroSteam and I’ve been very happy with it. It’s been able to remove stains my old one could never. But it will absolutely chug through its water supply very quickly. But I suppose that’s what you sacrifice for the steam function. Definitely my favorite cleaning tool I use. I even purchased the Bissell Little Green HydroSteam to go along with it. They are an unmatched cleaning duo.
I think not doing a drying test to see which ones dried the carpet the fastest was a big miss
Thank you for doing this video
I am very impressed!!! Thank you for all your work and consistency and detail!
Thank you very much!
I’ve been watching you for 5 years like to say thank you! For the information based of vacuums and carpet cleaner and robot vacuums man! Keep up the good work 👍✌🏻
Thank you so much! 5 years!! 😊
When i see your annual carpet cleaner video it makes me realize that we’re almost half way through the year!
:D
Thank you!! So glad i bought i shark xpert few months ago!
Great to hear!
What a great day to post this video 😁😁
How's about best cleaning solution, regardless of machine?
It was a Bissell Pro bottle. It was shown in the video.
Glad to see the shark tested with the same solution as everything else. Still so wary after buying a Shark vacuum though; performance is adequate, but parts support is abysmal. Purchased it 2 years ago and the battery has been out of stock the entire time. Mine didn't go bad, but when doing a deep clean I can't finish the whole house on a single charge. Been considering getting a Dyson because they are least have the batteries for it in stock.
Great video as usual! The only thing I miss (I think? I be might thinking about a different past video perhaps for regular vacuums) is the detailed showing of the actual passes over the carpets for each vacuum. So satisfying! ;)
Love the new lightness test!
Thank you!
I like how you added the same solution brand and same ratio. 😮
I had my Big Green for over a decade before I decided to upgrade to the newer black model (the Big Green Pet Pro) with the more ergonomically friendly unified handle.
Unlike most of these flimsy, consumer-grade machines, the Big Green is a commercial grade machine that you can repair whenever necessary.
I will always own a Big Green for as long Bissell continues to manufacture it. And given their increasing market share in the rental market, it will probably be available for the foreseeable future.
I heard a lot of parts tend to fail on these.. but I have rented one before and tnought it cleaned so much better than a rug doctor
Incredible video! The work and effort you put into this is extremely appreciated. I dont know what other types of videos you create but you absolutely earned a sub and like . Keep up it up man, you’re the real GOAT
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for doing this work! You can't trust the marketing material for products like these. You can only trust empirical evidence from independent sources. I was torn between the Tineco icarpet and the bissell steam revolution. But I am pleased to see a product better than both of those that cover my main concerns. Suction and effectiveness. The shark looks to satisfy both of my pain points. I had a Revolution 2x in the past but the quality of the suction attachment and suction head suffered over time. Again thank you for doing this work for the internet to see
Another great video! I just had a small request. In your future vacuum reviews, can you mention or at least take into account vacuum head width in your rankings? What I've found with several cordless vacuums is that the cheaper vacuums tend to have smaller widths and that leads to a lot more back and forth motion when actually using the vacuum.
Thank you for the hard work this took. I know this had to be a LOT of not only time and effort but also money. I really appreciate it!
Thank you!
Bought an EX201 via your link. Thank you for the recommendation.
Awesome, thank you!
Why dont you ever assess repairability? Maybe give bonus point for that.
How do you propose to do that, exactly? Break every single one of them in the same way?
I'd say warranty and spare parts access would be a better way to measure that.
@@gokkiyoutube In which case, Shark would lose.
Because none of them are really repair friendly. They are basically throw away machines, just like the vacuums these brands make. The Rug Doctor and the Bissell Big Green might be the only ones that are repair friendly
@@DJR5280 I had my Big Green for over a decade until I decided to upgrade to the latest version. It’s 100% reparable (as most commercial grade rental machines are).
@@CharlesBojangles I figured the Rug Dr and Bissell Big Green would be the closest to repair friendly possible
Now i want a video where you test shampos to see wich one is the best.
I bought the bissell 2x pet pro revolution because of you😊
That's a good one! Hope you enjoy it!
I’ve been waiting
Glad to hear it!
Great video! Just wondering when the best cleaning solution video for carpet cleaners is coming?😅
Thank youuuuuu😢😢😮😮❤
I recently got the Kenmore. So glad to see it is one of your top picks! I wasn't sure when I bought it. Now I know I made a good investment
We hope you enjoy it!
Can you please include more cleaning footage of the top picks? I feel like part of the reason I watch your channel is for satisfying cleaning videos
This was just an overview video. They normally get hyper specific with model by model reviews.
I have the red rug doctor and not once has it failed in the 3 years that I’ve owned it. Dog urine, everything. I really recommend
Obviously a fantastic review, but I'm very curious, is the Shark EX201 CarpetXpert Upright Carpet being sold at Costco as the Shark CarpetXpert Deep Carpet Cleaner (Model EX205) or are these fundamentally different?
how would you say these do versus vlm?
i have a hoover powerscrub elite w i th a super quiet but turbo motor
. Works great on our carpets❤
Good to know!
On that note, was noise test also included in overall score?
“That’s over 400 measurements so feel free to like and subscribe” made me laugh. I’ve liked, and I’ve subscribed 😂🫡
Thank you!
Another Shark product coming out on top ever since this channel did a collab with the company.
When do we expect an update on the Shop vac for 2024?
This is soo AMAZING! OMG, you are a genius. Informative test video again!
Wow, thanks!
Unfortunately Kenmore brand are not sold in my country.
Niiiiice
Thanks! Glad you are here!
The bissels actually also dry the carpet with hot air. There exausts are placed on the bottom
Can you do a review on the eufy mach V1 ultra mop?
No testing of which extracted the most dried dirt/solids?
You got any advice for couch and computer chair cleaning? Some vacuum with motorized brush or something ?
I've got a genuine question and was wondering if someone could help me answer it. I understand the video is showing carpet cleaners for domestic use, but they also add the RugDoctor and the BigGreen machines. I was checking out some machines and the KARCHER Puzzi 10/1 and the Big Green are currently the same price. In terms of actual cleaning performance which one is better (or you think its better)? also why wasn't the KARCHER Puzzi 10/1 added to the video if its within the same price range despite not being for domestic use?
If someone could help me answer which one is better I would really appreciate it, thanks in advance!! :D
What solution is the best to use for the shark carpetxpert?
I personally prefer the Kirby to shampoo. It does an excellent job without watering the carpets. Most underrated shampooer
Wow
Why am I watvhing this, I dont even have a single carpet
You’re such a nerd! Love it lol.
(Yes, that definitely was a compliment)
We'll take it! Thank you!
Shark wins. No surprise there.
Which one picks up small debris, sand, dirt. I have the green Hoover and it kicks up carpet fibers. Fibers and sand get stuck on the brush guard a lot!
I really wish we could see all the ratings in case there are things we don't care about.
Thanks for the videos! Can you recommend a non scented cleaner for carpet cleaners and also dog friendly. Thank you!
Nice! So glad you are happy with it!
One thing: I have the classic hoover turbo scrub.....over the years I've tried several and the hoovers are the ONLY ones that sucks most of the water back up... all of the others leave my berber too wet...even multiple dry passes.... so this has me totally scratching my head.
We don't know why either, but thanks for sharing your experience here.
I need to just throw away my broken bissell carpet spot cleaner 😅 and just get the shark carpet cleaner already 🤩
Don't. I heard a lot of bad things about that shark one. Bissell is still good and reliable. Other CZcams reviewers say shark one isn't good.
@@AmericanDenialbissell machines clean well but don’t last. I’ve had a spot cleaner and steam mop fail after a couple of years
Is there an equivalent of this for furniture/spot cleaning?
My flat has a small amount of carpet and a big sofa so I think a smaller spot cleaner would be more appropriate than the full size ones?
We have a 2024 Spot Cleaner competition video right here: czcams.com/video/oSEKelDIqSU/video.html Hope that helps!
I do have a question. As far as preference do you believe the shark cleaned better than the professional cleaners?
Have you had a chance to look at the BISSELL TurboClean Pet XL? That seems to be the replacement for the DualPro (even though Bissell, Target, and Lowes still sell that model). Would you recommend the TurboClean Pet XL over the Kenmore KW4070 RevitaLite?
Wich one can be the best for commercial usage?
We evaluate for household usage. Sorry.
When are you going to review the new Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra?
WOW!!!! YOU REALLY DID ALOT OF FIGURING AND HARD WORK TO COME UP WITH THESE GREAT CARPET CLEANERS!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!
I APPRECIATE ALL THE WAYS YOU FIGURE OUT THE BEST SHAMPOOER!!!!!!!😊😊😊
Why thank you very much!
When we can expect the full review of Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra on this channel?
I think his budget option (the Bissell TurboClean PowerBrush Pet Carpet Cleaner, 2987,Green/ Black large) is actually the superior choice for most of us because most of live in a smaller dwelling and I do not think the hose is as much of a feature as it is advertised to be.
My concerns about the hose is it's extra maintenance. I probably won't use it every time so I won't have to clean it every time, but cleaning all the pet fluid out of my carpet cleaner hose is another disaster unto itself. Also if my pet has a disaster on the carpets, I am most likely to do the initial big clean my hand. That is grab what I can with a paper towel, pre-treat, scrub, then hit with the machine. However, the wand would be useful for furniture. Nevertheless, I think not having extra parts means a more reliable machine that is easier to maintain.
I like the smaller reservoir because I am less likely to waste precious and expensive carpet cleaning fluid. This is again more specific to most of us that live in small apartments. Also, with a small reservoir, you don't need the heating technology because your water stays hot for the duration of the cleaning.
I like the more narrow brush head because I squeeze into more spaces and I can use it on the stairs. Yes, it is difficult to hold it in the upright locked position, and it hurts your back, but I've done this several times to success.
I feel even more confident in my decision now because this video showed how well it tested in comparison to its peers. There is not a better machine FOR the money. Those bigger commercial machines are obviously better, but they cost significantly more and are difficult to store, manage, keep, maintain, etc, etc. This little upright Bissell punches well above its weight class.
Super input! Thank you!
The water tank for the shark looks criminally small
Shark EX150 vs EX201 vs EX200?!! which is better?🤔
When will your Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra video come out?
I have carpet on half my house, should i buy one of this or am i good with just regular vacuum and sporadically rent to clean the carpet?
The way we see it, it depends on the traffic in your home. Cleaning the carpets is a good choice - the frequency is just going to depend on your household.
I have the hydro steam works well anyway your best pre-treatment doesn't take me to a specific product can you fix the link or tell me what specifically is the best pretreatment?
It was "Unchained Urine Stain and Odor Remover for Pet Owners" but its unavailable now, our very close second is the Resolve Professional spray.
@@VacuumWars thanks for your reply I love your videos man honestly I got the hydro steam last year after watching your video on it keep up the good work :)
I wonder how much better these are than portable or spot cleaners made by the same companies? Is the Shark CarpetXpert much better than the best portable unit?
Our last Spot Cleaner competition video showed a spot cleaner can do a good job - you just have to do it by hand: czcams.com/video/oSEKelDIqSU/video.html
Wouldn't it make sense to do a stain removal test with control detergent and one included with each machine as that would better judge how well the overall system is designed and how people would be using it in their home?
Now if ONLY they would change the tank size on the dirty water on the 2x revolution it would be the goat 😢
Question for you, would you get the Shark EX201 for $229 on sale or the Big Green Machine for $309 on sale?
It would depend on how I plan to use it. Large areas and long cleaning sessions, the big green is a great option. For smaller cleaning sessions, the Shark is going to be easier to use and gives good results.
@@VacuumWars would use it to clean about 1000sqft of carpet in our house.
What does PET stand for?
Most cleaners have PET in the name
...They're designed for people who own pets?
Do we not have enough Wars? Now we need carpet cleaner wars too? War, war never changes.
When *Project* *Farm* throw down the glove...
finally one where the big green didnt have a scuffed result lol
Oooo
So the Shark is better than the Big Green?
We recommend the commercial units for larger areas.
@@VacuumWars sounds good. Got a new pup and he’s destroyed our carpet so will need a cleaner that is as powerful as a pressure washer lmao
People can complain about “consumer grade” all they want. $300 is cheap for what you can get out of these, yes I’ll admit, “throw away” products.
Most people aren’t cleaning a thousand square feet of carpet every month. It’s more of a occasional couch, rug, vehicle clean with a annual cleaning of a couple bedrooms. After about 5-10 years people are happy to replace the filthy thing.
The place I work throws more plastic away in an hour, so spare me the “landfill” issue which I would otherwise side with.
I purchased the Shark Ex201 after watching this video. Honestly I’m not loving it 👎 The power is good, but it’s not very wide, requires manual mixing of soap/water, the tank is pathetically small, and you have to use sharks soap and maximizer solutions which are more expensive.
The DATA
Except for that whole Shark EX201 spits dirty water all over the place.
Not a vacuum, but ever think about testing air dusters? Both are air based cleaning, and the market is full of false advertising.
Why i'm here? i don't even own a carpet
Welcome!
It is so puzzling that none of these seem to be available in Europe ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can you actually use these to clean tiles? The hardfloor suction test made me think: they have brush, water, cleaning liquid; likely the perfect mix for cleaning textured floor tiles.
We don't test for hard floor cleaning. Our 2024 Best Floor Washers competition is right here: czcams.com/video/1mhpm_xB1ic/video.html
Oh great, thanks for your reply 🤝
