I absolutely love how objective you try to be with these sorts of tests 👌
Thanks for this excellent video. I have been waiting for it since your "BEST AIR PURIFIER 2023" video. Since you posted that video, I have purchased the BP06 and spent way too many hours learning about it.
You pointed out that a difference that the BP06 has compared to the BP03 and BP04 is that the BP06 does not integrate with the MyDyson app. The BP06 also has a few major differences: 1) It does not come with a remote controller; 2) Its airflow angle cannot be adjusted whatsoever; 3) Its HEPA filter only lasts for 2.5 years, compared to the BP03 and BP04's 5 years; and 4) Its filter can capture pollutants as small as 0.3 microns, whereas the BP03 and BP04 can capture pollutants as small as 0.1 microns.
By the way, there's also another variant, the BP02, which is not sold in North America. (BP01 and BP06 do not exist.)
Thank you for that.
You are a great teacher brother! 😉
I just want to thank you for all your hard work. You are helping me extend my life. I’m hiv+ and all of these machines help me immensely. Having a clean home for someone like me is actually life or death. It could mean the difference in me living anouther 10 years or not. Thank you so so much. Your videos are excellent.
Excellent comment and I wish you all the best in your current and future health. I am currently being treated for pancreatic cancer and my immune system is significantly weaker. I have several purifiers in multiple rooms and I can definitely testify to the effectiveness of getting a good unit. I am currently using several Allen's and an Oransi. This Dyson is a very attractive future purchase. Love their vacuums.
Hey there. Sending love to both of you.
@@Jumbaride thank you 🙏
We have 2 of these, I orig bought it for the biz but then decided its better in the house and bedroom haha, your review rocks! also i found it makes less noise when you aim the air up in the air at 50 degrees vs any other angle
Just bought our Dyson BP03 after watching your videos. Thank you for reviewing these.
Hope you enjoy it!
@@VacuumWarswhat would you recommend for smoking and dust particles, Lower budget ?
How much do replacement filters cost for them? I only found 1 only that charges $160... that's insane!
Owned this for about 2 months. So far I love it! I don’t ever notice it running.
Hows the air quality, like you feel cool breeze from it? And does it have humidifier?
Can it work as air conditioner too?
@@DRoL-eh2cmit’s only a fan and purifier
Thank you for the review needed to watch it for other CZcamsr
Seems great for office kitchens or meeting rooms.
So glad this channel back on track
I would love to see how the Levoit EverestAir stacks up. It has PM1.0, PM2.5, and PM10 detection, much larger quantity of activated carbon than most air purifiers, and is dramatically more affordable (usually on sale for $399). I've had mine for several months and would be curious how it performs compared to the Dyson.
Fantastic! Great job, Dyson!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@VacuumWars Does it mean you work for Dyson?
Oooh exciting!
Think this will go well with me having a few 3d printers. Thanks for the testing.
I bought one of these a few weeks ago, IMO its worth it if you have a larger room. Its very quiet for the amount of air it moves. Even on 10 (max) I wouldn't call it loud or annoying sounding, and its only on 10 if someone burns something in the kitchen. At 5 it's hard to hear unless room is near silent. Most of the time its on 1-2 and basically silent.. in practice I never hear this thing... and if I do (someone burned something) its not obnoxious. Its about as good as it gets for noise profile, IMO.
$1000 is a lot BUT the filter prices are actually reasonable.. the both cost and expected lifespan just seem reasonable. Lot of air purifiers bug me with their epensive filters they want replaced very frequently. Sure you can often get 3rd party filters for less, but then you gotta deal with buying 3rd party filters and not knowing if you're buying crappy filters. I like idea of getting the right filter for a reasonable price.
Also yes thing is large, but it least has some style to it.. compare it to like an IQAir, that is god awful. This could be argued to look good. I find in a big room it looks fine. In small room just due to size of thing its not going to look good, its just not for small rooms. I'll stick with Coway for small rooms, but for a big room IMO Dyson Big&Quiet is the thing to get.
Agree - Coway Airmega 300 and 400 are good choices for a reasonable price. I wouldn't call IQAir hideous-looking, but it does have a certain "hospital equipment" look. And yes, the filters for that one cost the earth.
The filters are always sold out , I’m worried about buying one and not being able to keep it functional
@@finmason8339 I believe the replacement for the Dyson filters is every 2-5 years? So I believe you'd be alright
@Bexamous How log does it take for this machine to eliminate cooking odors?
It really is a great air purifier. Very impressed with mine!
Where did they let you buy that with EBT money?
I don't own any Dyson stuff but it's nice to see a company like that succeed. Other products will get better when premium brands get way better
Looking at this vs the iqair pro 250
Any thoughts on reviewing humidifiers?
I wish it had built-in heater, too, like the HP models
This video is highly detailed and I'm impressed with both the video and the Dyson. Need to save up to get one for sure instead of throw away money on other models for now
Would this get rid of the smell of acetone/monomer and purify the air from dust while doing nails?
Would you say it’s better than blue air purifiers?
Thank you for the videos
hey can you see which heaters are the best for this year because its getting cold and its close to winter?
Any chance for you to test LG's air purifier? I noticed a lot of air purifiers have a PM2.5 sensor, but not many have a PM1.0 sensor that the LG does
Great content. Is there a list which purifiers contain CO2 sensor and has smart home abilities? For example to connect HomeAssistant. Dyson for sure, at least.
Let’s hope for a Black Friday sale
Can you please do a video comparing the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra , Roomba j9+, and Roomba Combo j9+? What would be better for a house that has both hardwood and carpets and a lot of pet (3 dogs and 2 cats)?
How does this Dyson compare on the VOC filtration to the EnviroKlens? I would like to see a comparison of these two.
hello does the fans cool you in warm weather?
It would be really interesting to see the tests against something that is actually harmful. I don't really have a fog problem. But I've heard ambient air has asbestos at low levels and silicia for example. How much cleaner will the air be for particles that are actually dangerous to health
I wish he would finally review the Ikea purifiers. I'm sure they wouldn't hold a candle to this behemoth but I'm really curious where they would fall in his overall rankings...
I want to buy one but they are always sold out of the filters. I want to have backups in store but that’s not possible
Do you have any reviews on the Air Dr. systems? Trying to find out if they are hype and how they compare to this Dyson.
What’s the best for pets?
Hey can you please make a review with a porlux vacuum cleaner please and thank you
Do you have any videos on dehumidifiers
My biggest concern is Radon.
🙏🏽🙏🏽Please please do a review on the Dyson purifier humidify+cool formaldehyde (Gold) one. I wanted your opinion on that one as well and which one would you choose/recommend
Suggest that Don't buy humidifier build-in air purifier. Keep them into two different machines. Humidifiers require more maintenance than cool or hot air purifiers.
Interesting
How do you think this compares to Blueair pro models? Or even the higher end Alen models?
After that review, I would have assumed the link in the description would have been for this particular air purifier but it is going to some other brand. I think you need to update your links as they contradict your review summary.
Can the K carbon filter be used on the BP03? I like the filter and dont need the extra CO2 detection
Could you perhaps test out the LG puricare 360. (Double decker)
Would you be able to review the Dupray air filter?
They should make a small and quiet
If I buy the BP03 can I just buy the k-carbon filter when I need to replace it and put it in? I like the colour of the BP03 over the BP04 so I’d like to know but if it isn’t compatible I’ll just buy the BP04
they have a hot and cold version of this and now im debating dropping almost a grand
Blue air is so solid for me.
0:51 interesting how the BP04 is the newer and best one yet the model number don't add up. Most model numbers go up from 0-9 to indicate a newer model/software update.
Can anyone explain why it goes from 4 then 3 to 6⁉️
Can you review airdog. They don't use hepa filter
It may be expensive but they are always on sale. The BP04 is currently $600.
Haw bout healthprotect 7770i?
But does it whistle though ?
Where can i buy bp04 in europe?
I have a smoke cafe downstairs and it’s coming through the floorboards in the hall. Seems like next pay day this is the solution
Did you buy it? If so, did it get rid of the smoke?
I wish you would list the price of the machine instead of some arbitrary dollar sign. I know prices can change but just state at the time of this video.
BP04 in canada on dysons site is $1400. $1300 for the BP03.
should i just save my money and get the Winix 5500?
How would it measure up to the coway 400s the price in the UK is similar to the Dyson. The coway 400s looks visually more pleasing but is it less performance compared to a Dyson
The BP03 does capture NO2 (according to the Dyson website)
So far the only differences between the BP04 and BP03 looks to be the following
Color
BP04 has a K carbon filter (filters the same as the BP03 but 3x faster)
BP04 has CO2 monitor
I've been looking into these 2 for a few months and finally got the BP03 as the CO2 and K carbon filter aren't enough to justify the increase. It also looks like you can put the k carbon filter on the BP03, so I'll be trying that later on
@@xPaulRulesTheWorldx Will this remove cooking odors completely?
i have a 6x6 auto accessory shop. in order to provide the best service to my customers when they come for auto window film. Small dust particles in the air enter between the glass and the film while the window film is being applied. Do i need to buy an air purifier machine to prevent this? Or do i need to buy an aspirator / fan?
It is the best, but the carbon filter saturates very quickly compared to my iq air, on all other fronts it’s vastly superior.
What happened to anymore testing for Enviroklenz????
So the IQAir GC beats the Dyson where it matters… actual cleaning of air… by a lot… but this wins because of sensors?
Compared to the tall and skinny Dysons, how does Big and Quiet compare? I have both a cool formaldehyde and a big and quiet bp04 in my home. Not sure how much stronger one is than the other.
How does it compare to rainbow and its "air purifier" ability
does this work when its uppon a high desk almost to the ceiling?
I am very allergic and currently using a xiaomi cheap air filter to try and eliminate pollen. without much success.
We used it stationed on the floor only, so we couldn't say if ceiling level is going to work as well. Consider checking with Dyson.
was it hard to put humidifier in????? =\\\
why is the BP04 not available in Europe, anyone knows ?
Why don't you ever test the Wyze Air Purifier? But the Dyson is interesting but as with all Dyson products, they are too expensive.
How does this compare to the 1400square shark never change?? And its 5 year filter??
Why do you need one ?
What about the fan function...does it work as good as their tower fans (TP09/07)?
I also want to know this. I would assume the airflow is not as “targeted” and blows out in more of a wide range. I hope Dyson is working on new tower fans with improvements from this model
@@tobstarschannel I can't seem to find a clear answer either. Everybody talks the breeze function, but now it works as a fan.
Is this a fan?
Are you ever going to test the Mila air purifier
Modern Castle has a review of Mila on their website.
had this for 5 months; after about 2 months it emits an "odor" or smell that i assume is odors trapped in the carbon filter that get emitted. Also the unit does not remove VOC as it claims when the environment you are in produces VOCs. (talking paint, carpets, off gassing, etc. - not from cooking)
Does it completely remove cooking odors? I am trying to keep cooking smells out of my closet. My stove is about 12ft from the closet.
@@Jumbaride I would not count on this device to remove VOC/Odors. It can't even remove VOCs in a bedroom, let alone a kitchen.
Why is it that BP03 in USA is different from Japan????
Best buy had the BP03 on sale for a pre BF quick strike sale, all most 50% off. I tried to get one and they sold out so quickly, think they had a limited about of them or Dyson gave them a limit they could sell at that low of a price.
how long will those ac filters last, how much do they weigh?
I think they last 2-5 years
As someone who hasn’t had an air purifier ever, does the indoor air feel different after having one? Crispier, more fresh etc?
Not at all, it will help if you live in an area with lots of dust or have allergies but, unless your zone is very polluted, the experience will be about the same. I have multiple units that I mostly use to catch dust, they do a good job at that if you don't mind the noise.
thanks! @@nicolassama2740
When someone is cooking something that smells terrible or burning something, it is very satisfying to walk into a room that the air purifier has kept smelling fresh.
How does this do when it comes to Pet smells? I've got two dogs and I plan on buying this thing
Two cats and a smelly partner, it works really well!
@@theTurbokat haha hope your partner doesn't read this comment!
where's the MATIC review?
I have had this about one month, and for the most part enjoy it, however I believe it has one programming fail that SHOULD be available for a $1,000 purifier. I have mine in my bedroom. I can program the machine to turn on and off, however what I feel is missing is the ability to program the machine to go in to night mode automatically say at 10PM, and turn night mode off at 8AM (or whatever). THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE. Yes, I can manually turn night mode on and off, but this should be an available feature. I contacted Dyson, and was ignored, another negative for such an expensive purchase. Hey Dyson, are you listening?
I don't think that's a big ask at all, that's quite a simple thing since they already have so many functions.
When mine is on the air circulation mode it makes a click sound when the fan changes directions. Otherwise I like it a lot.
Omg I’m so glad I found someone else who is having this issue! I have had to send back 2 of them to Dyson because of the clicking noise. I’m on my third model now and so far so good. I try not to use the breeze mode as often now because I’m scared it will start clicking again!
@@dragonroar6how is the clicking noise? I noticed mine does it on speed 3 if I go from 25 degrees to 50. Or on breeze mode.
@@neji7412 for me it would happen only when I put it in breeze mode. It would be a constant clicking noise. Luckily my new one doesn’t have the same issue
Got it swapped out. No unusual grinding now!!
@@neji7412 I think it may have been a bad batch in production but now they’ve fixed it!
I would buy it if it filtered out radon. The price would be much cheaper than putting in a radon filtration sustem.
Subbed and liked! Thank you!! After watching this video, I called Dyson and ordered the BP04. I hope I ordered the best one!! I have 4 dogs and bad allergies.
We hope you love it! Thank you for the sub!
@@VacuumWars thank you!!! Do you have a video on best portable car vacuum for cleaning cars? I do have my dogs in on of my cars and struggle with a lot of hair.
@joemomma707 Have you used it to remove cooking odors?
@@Jumbaride I’ve using it for 2 weeks. I don’t use it for smell. However, just asked my girl if she noticed any difference and she says she does. It has completely eliminated our indoor allergies. Our allergies were bad. It’s amazing. I highly recommend it. Highly. First one that I bought. I figured I would go big. I normally go all out on whatever I decide to get. Usually better outcome.
@@joemomma707 Thank you for getting back to me. 😊
sooooo premium but no HomeKit support :(
Too many Dyson from multiple people on YT. I would bet there has been some compensation from Dyson.
I have used high end filters for me, for numerous friends and relatives. Blueair, Austin Air, IQ, Onelife, Venta and Ideal are top tier filters for serious air purification. For me, IQ and Ideal are what we use. Yes, these are expensive but they all clean very well if you size your room properly for 5 air changes at least per hour and locate the cleaner properly.
I have am unusual question for you. I am having a lot of trouble with my upstairs neighbor smoking and vaping inside their apartment. Their smoke and fumes are inundating my apartment and I am extremely allergic to both of them. I have been wanting to get a particle meter or some kind of sensitive device that can prove to the leasing company that I am truly being affected by the neighbor's reckless behavior. Is there anything that you can recommend, suggest or even mention? I am going crazy with this person's toxic fumes. I came to this review looking for an effective air purifier, but after seeing these prices, I feel it is not fair that I have to pay these exorbitant prices to deal with a health problem that is not of my own making. Help please?
Try a BISSELL unit. They’re more affordable and effective at cleaning the air. With your situation best get the most powerful you can afford as you maybe exhausting the filters more. Also try and maximize fresh air with a window fan. Ideally use positive room pressure.
I can't believe Dyson BP03/04 is more expensive than IQ Air Health Pro Plus.
Not that much more. One filter change on the IQ will more than make up the difference.
Does it help with smelly smell in the room
Did you ever find an answer?
I wish they didn’t color lock them, the blue one looks better
What about the Austin Air? USA made, 1/3rd the cost of an IQ air with similar or better performance. It would throw off this entire recommendation system.
Austin air Bedroom model is still 1000 bucks and the filter is 550 smackaroos. Gtfo here bot
Dyson BPO3 doesn't show co2 levels....
I hate how they don’t have different colors like the white and silver is the best looking one but not the best in the line up
You would think for the price they used a bigger screen .
But can you control it wirelessly from anywhere in the world?
Yes!
@@theTurbokat I bought one 😅😊
Will it get rid of the smells from our home's scent diffusers?
I don't think the comparation is correct. The BP04 has a CO2 sensor which the BP03 it doesn't.
Daikin ururu EVERY DAY beats ANY compatitor. Why? It destroys smells with charged strings and have a humidifier built in!
