    Thanks a lot for this, I have had the hp04 for a couple years now and was pretty happy with the performance and really wanted the sensors. Over the years there are a lot of negative reviews on it with no data just theoretical equations. It’s great to see that while not as fast as the competition here it can still clean the air really well. Much appreciated.

    We had the Dyson TP09 and found that increasing the fan speed did not increase the amount of air filtered. Counting features that may or may not benefit the overall score is interesting. Still, at the end of the day, it is performance, design, and the ability to place the unit in a room while not taking it over (the TP09 is big and noticeable) and cost to performance. The Dyson TP09 didn't make a difference for us while being used in a small room that was kept closed. It was loud when you turned the fan up, and the fan was weak even at the highest setting. We returned it and are still looking.

    Yeah its going to clear that incense faster because its in a confined small space. You said the alen had more trouble circulating air so when you closed it off it was kind of an unfair test vs dyson in that small space and i doubt you're going to have that small of a room for that big purifier

    How can dyson win just because of features? Are you buying it for features or for cleaner air?

    In my opinion these are important -
    1. The best air quality
    2. Reliable, longest warranty and life of the product
    3. Quiet motor
    Fancy LED screens, apps and show off designs come last.

    • @claudius_drusus_
      @claudius_drusus_ Před 6 měsíci +1

      The Allen is better for VOC in terms of speed...thats about it.
      Dyson claims to filter as small as 0.3 microns, whereas the Allen can go to 0.1 microns. HOWEVER...dyson is *underselling* its unit because HEPA filters can filter out particles as small as 0.1 microns if not smaller. They both use the same type of filtration tech, so...no actual difference there.
      So in this aspect they are both tied. Yeah, the Allen has bigger filtets that last longer but...the Dyson is better at pm10 and pm2.5 in terms of speed.
      TL;DR...Dyson is the better filter overall.

    • @Enjoyinformation-hi9uo
      @Enjoyinformation-hi9uo Před 3 měsíci

      I agree.

  • @independentRestorationServices

    I’m not sure I agree with calling the Alen filters “better” because they’re simply larger. Having a larger filter means nothing if the filter isn’t being used adequately by the machine itself. The Alen filter may be more efficient as it filters to 99.99% but that’s a function of the filters density/design not a result of having a larger footprint.

    I have to chime in.... for several years I have owned a MILA smart air purifier. (their site is MilaCares) and I can say I would not trade it for any other air cleaner. I am not paid by they - just looooove my air cleaner so so much - I own a couple other ones. I have done a lot of research before purchasing it and cannot be happier. It's SMART, I can control it from anywhere in the world, basically it tracks an impressive amount of substances in the air, keeps reports, has many many features, app is cleverly designed (and actually quite hilarious), their tech support is stellar, the unit looks beautiful (have not yet seen a better looking one tbh, sorry Dyson- not a fan of your design). Since owning it I have learned so much about air quality from the app and by using it. In fact there was some sort of malfunction of one of the systems in my unit (out of warranty) and they sent me a new one, just like that, no fuss. Who does that? The price is great too. The only thing it isn't iss a heater but why would I want that in an air purifier anyway?..... makes 0 sense.

    • @Byhrum
      @Byhrum Před rokem

      The Mila have several quality issues in the mid and long term, many customers reported the units broke after 2-3 years.
      With that said, the company is aware of it and typically gives customers newer units or repairs even if the units are out of warranty.
      It's a good unit but I don't think they live to the hype they tried to create a few years back😅

    Nobody buys an air purifier for features when they have severe asthma or allergies. They only need a sensor to tell them their air is clean. Unless you're the Tesla type that likes to flex for no reason except to boost your ego, get the machine that does its job right. Dyson Machines are not made to last. Alen was created by an ex navy vet and ex dell engineer peter mann who founded Alen and Oransi. He made these machines for his son who had severe asthma. They are based in Texas. Alens filters where engineered by a couple of ex NASA scientists that helped make their legendary fan and filters to be as efficient and quiet as possible. They have been tested in a lab called lms to reduce the proxy covid virus to 0 in a room the size of a large meeting room. Reducing the particles in less than 30 minutes. They are loved by schools and hospitals all over the united state. You can get a refurbished flex model for $180 and their filters are upgradable depending the need. I haved owned a blue air, Dyson and an Alen. Alen beats them all with flying colors. And I have bad asthma. That's just my two scents.
