I saw Goose play when I was a kid. I even got his autograph. He was signing at a large department store while he was town so I begged my Dad to take me. I remember how large his hands were, and how nice he was.
Because of the original (and imo superior) movie, "The Harlem Globetrotters," I became a lifelong fan of the Trotters and their players. Usually, Meadowlark Lemon is the first mentioned as a fan favorite, but I saw him as a later, lesser player. Goose was featured both in the original 1951 film as well as this 1954 remake ("Go Man Go"). But Meadowlark had the longest tenure with the actual team, and is rightly identified with the franchise by the thousands, even millions, of spectators who saw the Globetrotters "in person."
Interesting watching the video.. a lot of the tricks and mannerisms the Globetrotters use today were started by Tatum. I dunno if he got that from players before him..
@2face15 a soccer goal is wider and you have more chances of kicking a ball into the goal passing the goalie compared to shooting a ball and actually making it while you have people guarding you. anybody can shoot a ball but basketball is more than that. i never said basketball was better im just saying that no sport is better than the other.
@TheFilipinoBoxer just because you have a wider area to score doesnt increase your chances of scoring in some cases. Soccer not only do you have to get passed a goalie but you also have to get passed the defenders which is more physical cuzz they actually have a body on you all the time. No one is going to win this arguement so ill just leave it at Soccer > baskteball lol jk.
@GMoneyStillTippin420 Yeah the time it takes for a team to score in soccer is kind of boring not gonna lie. I do prefer watching basketball cuzz teams be scoring all the time its always exciting when soccer sometimes a great break doesnt even land you a point so yeah that sucks lol.
