Lots of Japanese Studios would hire experts or take trips to experts to get information or advice on how to improve parts of their games. The good Studios would do this at least.
Being illegal doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Otherwise we would need not neither the police forces nor the locks and doors in general. Though... After watching LPL's videos I doubt locks and doors can add much safety...
@@Hirokuro_Asura Oh please...We all know you don't bother even locking your doors in the first place... I've heard it told time & time again.
@@chdreturns Hmm... 👀
As someone who has watched many LPL videos over a period of a year or so, this was one of the few to actually make my jaw drop.
Who would win?
An intricate system of levers and notches that can only be unlocked with specially grooved individual keys.
One snappy boi.
This seems like massive overkill. At this point, I kind of expect locks to open out of terror when LPL looks at them... Using tools seems like being generous.
Wow, I'm thinking a cable tie might be more secure than a lock.....cool video 🙂
negative, see his videos about those expensive bike locks that are basically cable ties, he cuts them easily with snippers
Great collab! I love how the lady's snapper you suggested wouldn't work opened the door bolt on the first try!
spare bicycle spokes are so handy! drain cleaners, picks, wheel building tools... but this is the MOST.
I just would like to point out. This is the first time I recall where a Masterlock actually won in terms of resistance to the pick method.
LPL - “That can be tricky”.
Proceeds to open 4 locks in 48 seconds with a bent bike spoke.
I give up... I've seen it all now. Welding my doors shut every time I leave the house now...
Because of you, each time i see a master lock i just wanna laugh!
Ha, at first I thought it was going to be something that puts constant tension on the shackle to make hammer tapping attacks easier, but now I'm even more impressed.
Master Lock: "I want to know why that shutter lock came open faster then we did or heads--no, shackles are going to roll!!"
First time I saw this kind of coat hanger lock-picking was in the movie, MIDNIGHT RUN. Robert De Niro’s character opened several locked doors like this while acting, ALMOST as fast as you did it for real. Gonna watch that other video now and I’ll laugh if you referenced MIDNIGHT RUN. It’s a very entertaining movie that hasn’t aged too badly. I highly recommend it. Cheers.
OMG…First one! I knew I should’ve watched that video first. 🤣
I am always fascinated by your videos. But they often make me feel vulnerable. So many of the locks I have watched you pick with ease, makes me wonder what stops criminals from picking locks rather than cutting or breaking there way into an area. My thoughts are you could have been broken into and not even know it for month's and you may not even realize it when you open up to get something unless what you are looking for is gone. That being said your videos help me buy the best locks that I can afford to make it harder to get in. Keep up the great work.
We're getting to the point where LPL is picking open 4 locks in under 3 minutes with random junk he has lying around in his garage.
He did 4 locks in just under a minute. He started at 1:05, ended at 2:00.
How many Locks you can open in a Minute
LPL: YES!
Lockpicking Lawyer, you're the real master of unlocking -Barry Burton (Original Resident Evil)
Love your collaborations!
on a vault door and LPL is like: “click on 1, 2 is binding, 3 is set 4 is set.”
**vault door opens**
You forgot "...back to 2..."
Would serrated pins help mitigate this issue? If not, what's the best option at preventing something like this attack?
Any technique that combats bump keys or rakes will help. Serrated pins, spools, springs of varying strength, etc.
Looks like I'm gonna go bike shopping this weekend!!! 🤣
Welcome back! Good to hear those dulcet tones once more.
When I was a guard in one of Her Majesty's high security prisons, it would have been amusing to watch you try to open one of the doors.
You just hear mutterings one night "...click on one, click on two... and we're done. This is why the UK government shouldn't contract security out to Master Lock--"
@@LushenZener they were Chubb locks then, who are now Union and Yale.
@@djwarren5081 Chubb locks sound like some kind of kinky chastity device
@@LushenZener knowing the UK they’d ban bike spokes and everyone would have to have those cool looking spoke-less wheels.
Oh, FFS what is the point?
I'm gonna go out and buy a stack of them No-Lock-Locks 🤣
Buy a welder for whatever you need to lock and an angle grinder for when you need to open it.
@@Skinflaps_Meatslapper Trouble is that I'd probably weld shut the shed with the angle grinder in it!
@@daveseddon5227 You can never have enough angle grinders. I have like four of them, because I can only find one of them at any given time lol
@@Skinflaps_Meatslapper The whole idea of locks is that you don't have to carry all your belongings around with you. You idea is sound but now I'll need something to transport the welder/grinder combo. My ethos is that you can never have too many tools but I'd rather keep them locked up securely and gain access easily.
LPL demonstrates on a daily basis that the sort of locks I've be using my whole life are generally worthless.
Perhaps I need to move to a desert island or something - it's all far too stressful. 🤣
@@daveseddon5227 Hmm....an island does sound nice. But then you'd have to worry about your food getting stolen by seagulls. The idea that locks prevent you from having to carry your stuff everywhere is the same if you don't have locks. If you don't have locks, you won't have stuff to carry around after a short time and won't need locks at all. So regardless of whether you have locks or not, rest assured, you won't have to carry your stuff around with you. Sometimes security measures can be quite recursive in nature. I guess there's always the option of hiding your stuff🤔
Back in high school in the 80s we used to make those out of thick piano wire. They work better than most people would expect. We made them in more of a pistol shape as the handle made them easier to hold and use.
God, the last time I watched the king of random was back when it was still Grant Thompson - The King of Random
Rest in peace
you didnt have to do masterlock like that
Yeah, he does.
Master Lock deserves all the kicking it gets.
yes he did, he always has to do masterlock like that.
Promoting a fellow content creator and B-Slapping Masterlock in a single classy move.
Hearing The King of Random reminds me, how much of sucks Grant Thompson isn’t around. I use to watch him early on in his career. Miss those times he was alive. I’m sure his successors are doing great.
Dictionary Nazi here, predecessor means people who came before, not after. Successor might be the word you're looking for.
With that said, it's been a long time since I've seen a King of Random video even mentioned. Glad to know the channel is still kicking, but I miss Grant. RIP
@@eskay_mochi fixed. Indeed. I kind of stopped watching the channel before he tragically died. I watched his videos before he showed his face, but still was one of the good ones.
This guy is unbelievable. Great job like always.
never fails to amaze that masterlock would by suspense of predicting that opened in one snap
Masterlock "Well at least they weren't all ours!"
Sudden increase in bike owners reporting stolen spokes
As a bicycle mechanic, most of my early lock picks were made out of spokes, I would hammer them flat and file the the desired profile, but I never thought of making a snapping tool out of one. Good job!
Heading over to The King of Random now to see what LPL looks like. Hope I'm not disappointed...
It's all fun and games until you pause the video but still hear LPL picking
Locks all over the world shiver when they receive a notification LPL has a new video out.
I'm inspired to pull out my old Southord snap gun, it's needs a little lubing but I bought it 20 years ago, started picking 2 years ago. Thanks LPL, also that was a cool video over on TOKR, nice collaboration.
I have a cia lock pick book ,first time seeing this improvised tool outside the book. And it works
01:04 "We'll start with this MasterLock."
Here we go again.
1:30 is where it really happens.
When I was in China I used to use bicycle spokes for all sorts of tool making jobs including making picks. They have to be good quality steel and are ubiquitous.
The wire coat hanger, truly a tool for all kinds of dangerous freedoms.
I started picking as a hobby after watching this channel for a long time. It still blows my mind (even through I've done it myself) how stupidly easy Master locks (especially the 3) are to open
We got to see your torso in your Collab video!!! It's a holiday miracle!
FINALLY... I've been waiting for this for a while now because I've used bike spokes for a long time now.
This are magic hands. This method does not work for everyone, but LPL cannot be beat.
R.I.P. Grant he will always be the KING of random!!
R.I.P Grant he was truly a great teacher
Kryptonite. The name alone implies you will be at a disadvantage.
One place I frequent is full of the master #3's Each easily opened, but one, not so. I physically had to destroy it only to find it had failed internally. Saw me through 6 picks and over 6 hours trying to get the damned thing open! Damned master always throwing those sideballs.
Street sweeper blades make for the best tension wrenches and with a torch,a glass of water and some pliers, could make a pick and tension out of one sweeper blade.
LPL, on a journey to snap half of the locks in the universe out of existence.
That's a skill Grant would have loved to learn.
I'm picturing LPL's kid riding a bicycle that is now missing a few spokes!! LOL!
Wow - Game changer !. Nice One. I love the way you make every lock seem so easy. 😀👍
Haven’t checked, but wold be fun to buy that bicycle snap lock pick👍🏻
Wow, a Master Lock came in first place. 10/10 security!
