Enemies in BBS hardly ever stagger, that's why.
The key to getting good at this game isn't to think of it as a normal kingdom hearts game which means for those that go straight to proud or critical like most veteran KH players will get destroyed. This is some food for thought since the full game releases soon. My advice really is to use the lower difficulties to get used to the game THEN work your way up.

It’s not really that you kept missing R2 specifically. As the tutorial mentioned, any of the attack buttons work for any of the characters. If an enemy is in Sora’s path, he’s the one who attacks, in Donald’s way, he goes, same with Goofy. I think the game has a priority on who lands the attack when you do simultaneous presses. Sora gets top priority, then Donald, the Goofy. So if Goof is part of any simultaneous combo and you miss any of the buttons, he’s the one who gets hit.
The exception is if the combo contains a triangle prompt; if you miss the triangle, whoever is closest to the enemy it would have hit gets attacked.

the game is awesome, the music is awesome as we already know so a rhythm game with KH had to be done one day or another.
also this game has story sections in it, even better!
Something I had to figure out while playing this game was I was trying to press the buttons so fast, it wasn’t fully releasing so it didn’t recognize a subsequent button press. So make sure the button fully releases every time you press it.
I honestly never got why people thought this game was gonna be bad, especially considering it's a collaboration with the Theatrhythm Final Fantasy devs (indies zero) who made some of the best rhythm games I've ever played on a handheld, or IN GENERAL for that matter.
This man was able to take out enemies at all pro codes with critical mode on And hes struggling on a rhythm game.... This probably the weirdest thing I've ever experience.

This video actually convinced me to buy it when i can. It looks fun, even if it doesn't have that much story relevance, but i like rhythm games, so it would be worth it for me even without ANY story elements

I can't help but wonder if the button inputs correspond to real-life notes and chords. If so, I wonder if this game can be used for education purposes related to teaching music to children. I'm not a music teacher (or a musician), so for anyone that is, please let me know.
Examples: Sora Attack, Donald Attack, Goofy Attack, DS Attck, SG Attack, DG Attack, DSG Attack, etc. plays different notes.
Would specific enemies also factor into the music? Like an normal, off staff, or large enemy produce a sharp or flat note?

Dean, I'm sure you've been playing Melody of Memory and I know you have pull in the KH community. My only real disappointment with the game is that I can't directly battle my friends. There's a push for an invite button to be added into Melody of Memory (by ProdigyxCD) and I implore you (if you havent already), to maybe use your influence to spread the word too?

22:12 The Invisible isn't in the 0.2 Dark World, but it is native to the End of the World (which is the early-Realm of Darkness). Furthermore, the Invisible is a Pureblood, which are abundant in the Realm of Darkness, and most of the usual Purebloods are KHIII debut, so no early KH graphics.
Also, I'd be less concerned about the enemies and more about the notes and staying alive.

Wait, so basic mode on proud is that easy? I have rhythm game experience and these patterns look extremely simple. Only things i'd have to learn is the jump and glide, but other than that, timings and buttons don't really seem that hard. Perfomer mode is the way to go if you want challenge.
Of course for someone who doesn't have rhythm game experience, basic mode on proud is already enough/too much

I had the same problem when trying to glide. I was getting so frustrated and then I finally figured out you just press and hold circle lol
Really wish you get to change key blades, and maybe if I use a little to much imagination, change soras. And critical mode would be nice as well

Imo yes. They have an absurd variety of KH songs and there's gonna be alot of other kind of content like the boss fights and such.
