As I said, I am pretty sure he was smurfing. That doesn't mean I am correct.
But: He definitly "pretended" on a couple of things. He played calm af, like he didn't really had much risk, he has driven pretty slow and stayed fucking calm. If you think about it: You are gold and a 2m sub youtuber is recording and watching you. Don't you wanna show your best shit and go for every aerial you can and just try to show your sickes moves?
He clearly didnt. He played calm, positioned himself and just took the calm shots without much of an effort.
And he did that on purpose, because he didn't want to show his sickest moves, because his sickest moves arent gold niveau. they are higher.
About the people who say "i am gold and just as mechanical good". Well good for you. But RL isn't just about mechanics. I am C2 in 3s and nearing C3 and till today I didn't hit one ceiling shot, one flip reset or a proper planned double tap at the backboard. Heck I learned to do a half flip just a few months ago after I was already for over a year in champ.
And no I am not boosted, I played solo. always.

Downgrade would be cool in twos or threes as well with whoever scored is the one downgraded. Feel like there would be some strategies developed where you would leave a high ranked player to try and feed goals to the lower ranked ones and whoever has a bronze player score wins.
