  • HIPOT TEST PROCEDURE AND WHY WE USE DC HIPOT FOR CABLE
Why we use DC hipot for cable?
Why we reduce percentage for more then 3rd time hipot test?
What is the procedure to do hipot test?
After hipot what we have to do ?
in my previous video i have given explanation for five question if we want see that click this link.

How much leakage current is acceptable limit and after hipot IR value result is compare to Before IR is more or less?

Why when we use AC hipot testing , we get high capacitance? And why high leakage current for high capacitance ? And also explain the how low distance between cables reasons high capacitance

On DC only charging capacitance current take place but for AC charging and discharging also take place additionally inductance also take place in AC so generally leakage current is high when we compare to DC

to verify Cable not have any damage before hipot test and after hipot test it should be check it is not damage during hipot

For cable only AC shall be used that too VLF (Very low frequency). DC is not recommended. Olden days we were using DC, but not now.
