Outstanding! Good Bach requires so much from a guitarist, and Anika really delivers. Clarity of meter, vocal continuity, technical fluency (perfectly disciplined RH wrist attitude throughout), deep intellect and equal measures of passion and control. Pity he, who cannot find the pleasure in this sublime performance.
Can't imagine how much you have practiced to play this good and also memorize it. Not one bum note throughout. Such perfect. Also executed with so much grace.

My favourite performance of this most wonderful work. I love the slight hesitations in the fugue exposition and the way the music seems to breath with her. A very tender performance which grows and grows on me. Some of the fingerings in this work can be very awkward but Anika makes them look natural.

Many other comments hit it spot on: she is in total control of this piece -- not "mechanical" sounding at all, nor an overzealous display of emotion, but she is certainly enjoying the performance herself.Also, a beautiful dress and outfit which seems to bring everything in the performance together someway; gracious and shimmering, yet reserved, like the piece itself. A virtuoso performance. This tune has a dramatic resolve starting at 1:56. For me the whole point of this tune is to get to this part and nail it. Anika crisply hits the chord chunks at this point, just right, not overly punching it. For a different tempo, see Leonora Spangenberger perform this piece. Very moving.

Sigh... Bach wouldn’t have anticipated his pieces played on guitar, I’m fairly certain. But he would’ve loved your rendition! It’s a treat to see a well loved guitar too.
