I have a RTX 2060 a few months back I was streaming medium to high settings using NVENC new recently I've noticed that PC couldn't handle it even with low settings nothing but lag and stutter even slowing down my PC completely. So I tried Software x264 this morning and man did it make a difference in gaming absolutely night and day I use a Ryzen 7 wish I knew this earlier!
What encoder preset, and bitrate do you run?
man, i have a i9 and a gtx 1060 ( i'm changing it when it's x-mas) and i tried with the 1060 and it was a laggg. After that i tried with the i9 and it worked much much better, so that's true.

How does one create multiple levels of quality like some streams? Mine is locked at the 720 60FPS but I also want to stream at a lower resolution for others.
only twitch partners have acess to all qualities by default, little creators must open and close the stream until it opens more quality, I know, ridiculous, but it is how works. However, if U keep streaming you gonna have more chance of opening all qualities in the future by default too. Always keep woth your phone at hand and check if U have all qualities when you open the stream, its how I do.
Im using Streamlabs and elgato but i always skipped frames i dont know why is it possible with the internet connection? I have also good gaming pc and good capture card

The "Run Auto Optimizer" button is conspicuously absent on the new version of Streamlabs. There is a noticeable gap where it SHOULD be.
The Auto Optimizer feature is hidden when your logged out from Twitch. (Settings > (bottom left - Login)

@@petermanfox2535 i dont see the button either, and im logged into twitch both on the twitch site and in streamlabs and have connected the account, and i've never logged in let alone streamed on another site/app and i still dont see the run auto configuration button in streamlabs either

When optimising your settings is it meant to be really slow I’ve been waiting on a full bar and says 0%
Why have your base canvas resolution at 1080 instead of 1440? Just curious since I assume you have a 1440p monitor cause it gave you that option...

I have an AMD GPU... when I auto optimize it, it set everything to default.
I've got a question, why after asking for more time, i gave 6 months, my shirt and other merch was not delivered, and now im being told its been too long. As i stated though, you guys were asking for more time and to be patient on the website. Why is that fair?

Precisely. All the platforms keep changing their software, thus disabling the usefulness of these videos. Keep searching for one with a date that is closer to current date. I have the same problem, my screen does not look like that at all.
I did not see any option for Stream Labs OBS to allow it to optimize settings. That button is not there. I love the options, bell and whistles that SLOBS offers, but the constant crashes, and "Something went wrong while going live" messages has forced me back to standard OBS until the issues are fixed.
That could be drivers you are using. At least it was in my case. I use a RTX2080 and when updating I updated to the "game Ready" drivers. Those dont always work with OBS or SLOBS.
Nvidia has a set of "creator drivers" that are tested to run stable with Photoshop, OBS etc..
Maybe thats the issue
the stream crashes are probably on your side, i used to blame it on SLOBS, later a friend taught me how to properly setup this stuff and i have very nice streams now

why do i not have run auto optimizer?
I have an i7-4270HQ processor (4 cores, 8 threads each as I understand it), but my GPU is 980m, should I use the x264 or NVENC encoder? From what I understand, since it's a laptop (albeit, a capable laptop), the 980m GPU is far less powerful than a desktop equivalent, but my processor seems to be pretty capable, so I'm leaning more on using x264 (would I be able to handle "medium" or should I stick with "fast"?)

Hey, i wanna ask something, so on the "sources" I add a display capture source but it wont show me my screen instead it only show a black screen
if you are using it to stream via playstation from a HD60 S capture card you need to go into settings and disable HDCP on you playstation. It will then should display.

i don't see the optimizer option in my general tab. maybe its a mac and pc difference.
If you have streamlabs obs it's when you're about to go live. It will ask you if you would like to use optimized encoder settings for whatever it is you're playing.
hi! what is the best configuration for a MacBook Air please?
Auto Run Optimizer is not on my general settings page... wtf. I just want to set my settings to stream at 60 FPS. AH srry, it was in the Video settings lol. Mainly though, how do i know what I should set my streaming bitrate to be? My Upload speed is kinda between 33 and 41 Mbps. I have a Ryzen 7 1700 and a GTX 1060 6GB

When live streaming setting FPS does this mean higher the FPS settings the more internet bandwidth it needs

I have a problem with the resolution scaled thing, if I put that on 720p, it goes down to 685p or something when I start streaming. If I put it on 1080p it goes down to 720p when I stream. Don't know why this is happening, and any ideas on how to fix it?

I just saw this and have been searching the internet trying to figure out if it is better to disable to keep it enabled. Is it benifical to disable if we are using 1 PC for streaming and gaming etc.
It shouldn't be, this may be hardware dependent, it's not showing on my AMD (Ryzen 7 + RX) system and Wow runs on an Intel and nVidia system build.
if you have a good GPU leave it on, if you dont turn that off

Hallo ! I have some problem, and i do not understand where is the issue: with the output bitrate set on 2500, that should be low, i can see on my net monitor an upload of 3-4Mb/s while streaming, and loose 40% of frames... That is strange to me because i read that with 3000 of bitrate should be 0.4Mb/s in upload...

i need to set max cap of the bitrate because i have bitrate setting in a range but while streaming the bit rate go above my set bitrate and it cause dropped FPS a lot it even go above my upload speed so i need to set it to never go above what i have setup i need a real help in this

Hi , I use Auto Optimize as well and it gives me a good quality but it also gives me some ping spikes during my online gaming ( League of Legends ) . I lowered the bitrate from 3100 ( auto optimized ) to 2500 and now it feels better . Did I do the right thing ?
yes u did
yep, you could also increase the B frame count (my recomendation would be to set it to "2") and set the stream profile to Main to reduce the lag and pc usage on your end, so that you dont lose as many fps and get better performance overall (that is in the output tab once you switch from simple to advanced settings)

Hello guys, can someone help me? I have a problem with MonsterHunterWorld I can't streaming anymore this game for some reasone. The stream freeze or just go horrible, I didn't change Streamlabs setting, but now for some reason I can't stream. What can I do?
The funny thing is that the run optimization does not account for your Internet connection. You may want to add that to the run optimization but then again I guess that is why you added the Dynamically change bitrate when dropping frames while streaming settings checkbox.
yes it does, it tests your internet upload speed to set your bitrate, tho it almost always sets it 400 bits above of what it should be, which results in frame drops and stream lag
@@I_Might_Be_Simon No it does not as it would set it to 25000 if I remember right which my Internet connection does not support. I would have to then go back in the settings to change it back down to what OBS Studio has determined to be a more realistic bitrate that my Internet connection support being the means of actually stream to my channels with a static video. It seems now, however, the Run Auto Optimizer has been done away with as I can not find it in 0.19.4 that I just updated to.

@@iamcomputermaster oof me boyo 0.94, your bitrate at best can be set to 900, i can help you increase that a bit but your phone needs to be rooted, but before you start doing anything check if you can share internet to your pc through usb, and i dont mean sharing your data, i mean conecting to your wifi and then sharing that to your pc through usb, if thats possible then i can improve your upload speed to be about 3 times as fast through net bonding

hi my name is richard and my card is a geforce gt 730 and for me it does not appear to nvenc and am having trouble straining what i do ???
the GT730 is a passive GPU and not a full fledge GPU, thus the reason you dont get the option, and it is good it doesnt, it would prob fry your pc, that graphics card is not meant for more than video streaming from your MOBO to your PC and maybe some light gaming

I’m using streamlabs on my mobile but after an hour the messages on my chat box I can’t see anymore also if I replied my meesages cant send also they see me and heard me but I can’t see their messages

Optimizer seems kinda shit. I have a 2080 TI and 1 gig up and down, sets my bitrate to 2000 lol
Your bitrate is depended on your internet speed

SuperTinyPickle IIRC when I set up streamlabs it automated the settings for my game streams but I use manual settings now.
