Good job Kenny! Hope it works out for you. If you need to get that switch go to any WestMarine. They carry all sorts of marine switches. It looks like a standard rocker switch to me. You could also add silicone sealant to the motor housing where you pushed the 10 gage wire through to keep the water out.
It’s crazy to see the original switch keep burning out on you. Your motor was drawing way too much current than the switch could handle….
    Wouldn’t you think that’s a design defect?

Yes it's a common issue for a lot of people. The stock Watersnake was working fine for a year and 1 month. After that the toggle switch kept getting burned out. The switch that comes stock with the motor is of higher quality than the ones you buy off ebay and Amazon. For non-tech savvy folks they would just dump the motor entirely once the switch dies. This is exactly what the company that makes Watersnakes want. To sell more. I made this video in hopes to help those that do go this route will at least learn how to savage their Watersnakes.

It’s simple, the factory switches are for AC not DC as needed, the energy arc (plasma) is much stronger in DC, any gap between contacts will keep the arc and burn the switch.
The question is: why they but AC switches in DC motor??
