I’m a niner fan and I agree to not judge on one single game but definitely add it to the grade of his career to this point. What I’m most interested in is how he responds the next game. Making mistakes is fine if you learn from them and progress

The young man is a great role model for the young kids. It’s nice actually seeing somebody who is humble and grateful.
This is the type of human being that you want young kids to look up to. Pure class. Humility, humble, team/family focused, calm, mature, intelligent, thoughtful, etc… basically all the traits that NO ONE values anymore.

I'm a counselor and his parents did a wonderful job raising this young man. I wish other college and NFL players would take note.

I always love to see humility in a young player. It's so easy to get wrapped up in your own ego at that age, especially when you're in the national spotlight.

I’m an agnostic but when I have a child I would love to raise them the way that Brock’s parents raised him. Such a remarkable young man and someone I admire deeply.

No question about it….
I love the guy, but he is not wise beyond his years. The problem is that 90% of people are stupid beyond their years, which makes Brock look miraculous in comparison. There was a time most were like Brock and it was just the norm.
He may be a Jets fan, but you can just tell Rich likes this kid as much as we faithful do.
His first job if in not mistaken was in sf. He has connections.

I get why they cleared the QB room for Purdy. What a quality person.
Brock Purdy did his job, in Joe Montana like fashion, at the end of the Browns game, to win the game on the next to final play. The problem was, Purdy was not the field goal kicker, Jake Moody was the kicker. But Purdy set up Jake for a very makable 41 yard shot, that Moody shanked to the right. This loss is definately not on Purdy, or the offense. Cleveland was a good team, and the game was winnable up to the next to last play.
There's a lot of small things that could turn the game that we don't see. With kickers, all eyes are on them so when they miss it seems exponentially worse. The fact is the game shouldn't have been that close. Gotta give props to the Browns and hope that loss levels everyone off a bit. I'm glad the undefeated streak ended because it's just another distraction.
The ego on people when they say the game shouldn’t have been that close. Cleveland have a top 3 defense and it rained with 22 mph wind. That all plays a part🤷♂️
@@TMula Fair enough lol. I have a feeling if they were still playing at Candlestick the niners would do better in bad weather.
@@TMulaCleveland has a historical defense, giving up the fewest yards, through the first six games, since 1972. However, a few bad throws, unfortunate calls, dropped passes all played a part. Equally culpable to the missed FG. I still think Shanahan should’ve tried to get closer. Niners had a good 30 seconds with a timeout. Considering bad weather and Moody having missed one earlier.
Take note draft rooms......and college football QB's......one of the reasons this kid is so good......4 years of high level situational D1 football......high character......keep rockin Brock......BP/CMC Co-IMP's!

I love his answer when he asked him what he thinks about people calling him a system QB. It’s exactly what I thought, or hoped he would say. He doesn’t care. He shouldn’t. His record speaks for itself. At the end of the day, it’s about being a good and consistent decision maker with the ball and winning games. And by people’s logic saying he is a product of his teams system….then every quarterback is a system QB. People need to give him the credit he deserves. If not, like he said, who cares. Love this Niners team win or lose
Exactly n And furthermore, EVERY QB needs weapons to help him out, no QB can do it all by himself. People seem to forget that and say "he's just a system QB" like that's a bad thing. It's not.

Brock talks a lot about faith and upbringing... and I'm sure that plays a part, but my theory on the guy is he probably has the same thing the free solo climber Alex Honnold has, which is an amygdala with reduced activity. That means he is much less reactive emotionally and does not experience fear in the same way most people do. His ability to react under pressure, making on point throws under duress of an impending hit, taking everything in stride to the point where it's hard to tell if he's really enjoying or taking credit for anything, giving pressers like a drill instructor, completely disinterested in trash talk, etc. It's easy to be a "football playing robot" when emotions aren't there to get in the way of processing the field. When fellow players and coaches are asked what Brock is like after this or that they always say he's "like Brock" and consistently the same guy all the time.
