Every QB, especially in the NFL, is a “system” QB. It’s the player’s own physical skills, work ethic, heart, and mental/cerebral skills that separate an average “system QB” from an elite QB! Wth were both Joe Montana and Steve Young? They were great system QB’s from the greatest offensive football mind ever and his system - Bill Walsh! We had other QB’s fill in/play while those two were injured, others drafted… and they all sucked! It was both Joe and Steve that made the system - the west coast offense elite! And just like those two, Brock Purdy is exactly like those two - straight winner and a baller.
Most NFL fans and most sports talk talking heads, to even include ex-NFL players are ignorant. It’s amazing how ex-NFL players are just so ignorant and/or just haters. They don’t know the game that they played… but I’m not surprised because most were never book smart or remotely intelligent to begin with. They don’t understand all of the variables involved when it comes to leading a high functioning, successful offense. Brock Purdy most definitely is that guy… he’s literally our next Joe Montana. Yes, the comparisons are blatantly clear! People - the majority of ignorant football fans, won’t accept someone like Purdy because the narrative is created by the ignorant media.

Alabama went hard to sign Brock Purdy. After playing his last high school game as a senior, not a single power five school had offered him.
He got mono which prevented him from being in a lot of the 7 on 7 camps. So nobody knew who he was. At the last minute Alabama got some of his tape and said “who is this kid?! And why don’t we know of him?!” Saban came all the way to Arizona to make an in home visit a couple weeks before the second February signing day. If he thought Purdy was just a game manager, he would have never taken the time to fly to Arizona. Purdy is the best high school QB in Arizona history. He was Arizona Mr Football. He got coaching from Troy Aikman’s QB guru while in high school. He’s been working to be an NFL QB his entire life. He’s built for this sh*t. He chose Iowa State because they should him the most genuine love on his visit. Before Brock Purdy and Breece Hall, name another Iowa State player. Seneca Wallace is the only one I can think of. Eisen is an NFL employee, he seems to have changed to a more
negative tone on Purdy. Inside the NFL, al of them talked nonsense insulting how well he’s played. I think Eisen was told by NFL to stop praising Purdy so much. Goodell doesn’t like his religious beliefs. Won’t surprise me if refs are told to call game a certain way to give Chiefs a big advantage.

You really should show scenes from the games when you talk about specific ones and not just some random images. E.g. at 2:21 you talk about a game against the chiefs, but show images against the Dolphins or the Bucs..

Having worn number 13 in high school and college, there were few others that selected the number. However 40 years later. I've noticed that nearly all NFL teams have at least one starter wearing the number. Really, keep an eye out, you'll see it. The point: It's no longer a taboo number. I feel like a trailblazer. Lol.

Just remember Tom Brady and Joe Montana were both way down on the depth chart in college and only got their chances when the guys above them got hurt. Curt Warner was literally bagging groceries when he got called up. If anyone ever comes up with a foolproof way to evaluate players you’d be a multi bazillionaire

I'm a Niners fan and I'll be the first to say those 8 QB's would be doing much better if they were running the niners offense. Not to take away anything that Purdy has accomplished, he's been great. But I doubt he'd be as good switching places with Pickett.

Most QBs require a certain specific system to succeed. That is why many successful college QBs failed in NFL. There are only a handful of top QBs that can switch teams without degrading in their performance.

It seems to me that NFL team scouts and GM's believe the sports news media BS 100% over the actual College player's football IQ; the players actual intellectual reaction ability, which include, the most important ability to read complex defensive schemes before the play begins...Being a running-flight first QB is electrifying but shot lived! Being a QB with the ability to read and understanding the play's potential action, and (the) a player's field attack progression before it begins is a QB's most important instinctive application of QB awareness and counter attack...Just ask Tom...He knows... Just an Old coaches philosophy that worked for 5 out of 6 league Championships and two Pop Warner California Super Bowls... in six years.

lets be honest: purdy is kinda nice, but san fran is on a rampage. they remind me a bit of the 2 years of seattles dominance under the LOB and a wilosin in tuff shape. 1,5 vicius hybrids in debo and cmc, solid reaceiver / te in ayuk and kittle plus so many great players like bosa and ward f.e. in the D. also a solid OL and special teams. if chiefs win over baltimore ( i fear andrews will not be back for playoffs and actually i dont see any other contender) the maybe most interesting rematch of latest superbowls( okay, cinci with healthy joe vs rams with healthy stafford would be sweet too) i can imagine. actually i see SF stronger than philly, since jalen isnt as good as constant as he was last year. and what a game that would be. KC is not this strong in rushing so niners could get revenge. i dont see chances for my teams or for philly, so i hope its kc / niners with a blowout win for san francisco. i hope they go low on cmc the last games because he still sometimes runs and i think omg next tackle like this breaks him in a half. but he looks in best shape so far, niners should keep it this way until playoffs cause as powerfull he is, as fragile he is with all those injuries before. but purdy for sure is THE sensation of this loaded draft. i saw maybe 3 major mistakes during the whole season. rest was fkn sweet. if he pushes his throwing arm a little...sky's the limit.
