Just like in GMK, his heart was still pumping. The chances for him to regenerate from that organ is very high. He was more likely slowed down than killed.

You'll need to hit him hard and fast - Koichi and Tachibana had the right idea with the Shinden. Sadly, nothing they had was strong enough to fully annihilate him. There cannot be a single piece left.

Godzilla maybe durable on the outside but not on the inside
He's the only Godzilla in existence to have been affected by the Decompression Sickness (DCS) and to have his jaw blown off by a sea mine. His durability feat is by far one of the weakest to have been introduced. MonsterVerse Kong would be enough to solo him with either Axe or BEAST gauntlet.
Monsterverse kong can't even survive a direct bomb! Kong was solo'ed by Samuel Jackson lol!
@@stevendavis6157 why I said with the Axe. It will absorb the energy from Minus One's Atomic Breath. Since he fought his Godzilla and a mechanical one, he'll know to use that to deflect and charge up his axe.

@stevendavis6157 Well, if you ever watched Return of Godzilla, Godzilla's dorsal plates have been shown to absorb electrical energy from a storm. Again, in GMK, Godzilla's dorsal plates absorbed Ghidorah's Gravity Beams using it to supercharge his Atomic Breath. What MonsterVerse did isn't anything new. They stayed true to Godzilla's special unique traits.
