      Standards are not single. ISO is another one (and well, I for international). ANSI is basically the usual one in the US, not surprising as they usually differ to other places (metric system too, for example). I've been using ISO keyboards all my life, wouldn't change at all for that shift-like enter.

      Not like I need to point it out, but a good reason why is that EU keyboards tend to have more keys for extra characters, etc etc. So it's not just because "America wants to be different" and more of a they dont need those keys as it's basically just English.

Once you've driven a luxury car with a buttery smooth engine, you'll quickly realize why all cars designed for pure luxury use petrol. I know some Jags use diesel, and it's a crime. I'm talking about Bentley, Rolls Royce, Maybach, etc. If luxury and smoothness is your goal, you buy Petrol, it's as simple as that.

    For a cheap keyboard for $30, I could recommend the Asus Cerberus. It's backlights are a little limited, but it has an amazing feel when typing. It's rebound speed is excellent and its keys have a mushy but clicky enough feel to it, Perfect for shoulder peeking when playing CS:GO. Sure, it's not mechanical, but it may be better than some keyboards that are more expensive than it. I believe it is the best for FPS gaming for you can get an advantage in movement and strafing. It seems better than more expensive keyboards, like the Razer Blackwidow, which I own, I use the Cerberus over it since it has a better feel to it. If you're looking for a cheap gaming keyboard, I surely recommend it. As a matter of fact, I am using one to type this statement.

    I bought the Magic Wings keyboard a few years back that came with a 4500 DPI mouse which eventually fell apart but the keyboard is still working (even though a friend accidentally cut the cable in half with a drawer and I had to heat shrink all of the cables back, thanks a lot dude you know who you are!) But yeah it cost me around 15$ for both the keyboard and the crappy mouse. Great deal!

      Chiclet Keys are nearly identical to Scissor Keys, so yes they are. Silicone Dome but with more support to rebound faster.

      i always used to think those type of keys are prone to wrong key presses, how's it for competitive FPS games?

    Stupid giant enter key is an immediate disqualified. No Enter key should be any shape other than a rectangle. NEVER an L

      Dont' be mad. Linus just confused "narrow" and "normal".

    • @longlivenc7235
      @longlivenc7235 Před 7 lety +5

      In the US normal is a ~2.5:1 horizontal rectangle, thank God. The L enter key is an abomination for typing and it looks awful. Whoever the fuck decided to make a key that shape when it's just typed with the pinky should've been fired on the spot.

      rectangular enter keys are cancer, every time I'm gonna hit enter I press "["
      its so freaking annoying
