Man, Death Knights came out of their starting zone at level 59 with a full set of Wotlk power blues. They'd go straight into warsong and if the enemy team didnt have many death knights of their own they'd got 50-0 in kills.

This sounds like an exaggeration but it just isn't lol. If you level through the outlands there's really not much for improvements on the gear.
EU version ends with "while the Horde DKs try Alterac Valley instead and still somehow lose to the Alliance anyway".

No matter what, coming back to play WOTLK again after 14 years feels amazing.
Feels like being a child again and living in the good old days one more time.
Now I can do it as an adult... without mom telling me to AFK for some foolish task.
Sarth +3 was really hard early on. It was my shining (only) achievement as a Bear tank. I literally respeced my gathering trees for what, an extra 50 HP? We got it top 10 US, then I switched back to my Shaman because I hated tanking.
Also, I was a REALLY bad off tank
Raids were harder back then for me because I had between 600-800ms and was playing on a US server 9hrs behind me aka at 4am then going to work at 9am
honestly its not the same, but damn is it still good.
Ungoro crater 2!!!! YES. best zone in northrend! kinda pointless area tbh but amazing and fun

@@Undertaker257 it's a zone for resource gathering, that's fine. I played every single day of wotlk and just barely ever did that zone. it's the coolest one in wotlk imo, but still just felt like hardly spent any time there.
Sunwell was way harder than OS3D. I'd argue both Lady Vashj and Kael'thas pre-nerf was harder aswell, wrath is kind of a joke expansion in terms of difficulty and gearing.
That's true, lady vash in first 2weeks was my fav bossfight out of all tbc content. In wrath it only gets to that level in ulduar. T7 was a joke even back then, on another way its good so people gear their chars.

i have always wondered how much the guy voicing the scripts knows about the subject he talks about. like, does he know what murlocs are? parsing? he must have an aweful lot of contemporary knowledge acumulated...

DK's were dumbed down during original launch , they were even stronger in beta lol , Plague strike used to remove HOTS everytime it was used
i have 28 level 60s in the newest wow the only reason i want a dk in classic is so it can give my lower - level chars some cash i have 3 lowers a druid a mage and a hunter

The only reason I could remotely stand a chance as a human warrior was because of all anti fear abilities. Then again it was just delaying the inevitable most of the time as I'd get bent over by the ghoul after killing the DK.
The way I see it is there is not much difference between being hardcore in classic wow and being hardcore in the original wotlk or current retail. Whether you played the original retail experience or classic you are competing in something that 99.8% of the world does not compete in. If you want to face a true competition try being rank 1 in IRL soccer. I agree though that classic being a rerelease make the game less about raw talent or on the fly strategy and more about time investment aka who has been practicing on private servers for the past decade.

DKs was the best at the beginning due to Blood being a dps spec b4 they fuxked it up and made it a tank spec and made frost dps.....like fuck that thats what made me quick DKs an go back to huter/rogue.

50k - Get a professional haircut and beard trim
75k - No fast food/soda for a week
100k - Workout 30 minutes - 60 minutes a day for a week
etc...
You could make video series out of all of these while also doing something sweet for charity. I know I'd definitely watch these.

I played this a long time ago on a private Russian server. For $20 you could buy the best weapon in the game straight-up, lol it was fun at. Way more reasonable pricing than today’s p2w games :)
WotLK was when i quit... to be honest i found it boring, a waste of time, from PVP to raiding, it all seemed like it was designed to 5 years olds / obsolete content right out the gate with no FUN replay value...you could tell WotLK was firmly sliding down the slope to the trash heap in result, they made some obvious indicators to this in TBC, but it was offset by the good inclusions, WotLK it flipped from few improvements, to a great deal of obvious bad game design choices, which then begun to go of like rockets to the moon beyond this point.
with the folks who made it go from trash to turd in charge... nope not wasting my time in classic, because we already know were its going to go down the road if the servers manage to remain active.
Man imagine if blizzard could produce another expansion as good as this. Instead we got BFA shadowlands and now we're getting how to train your dragon. Won't go anywhere near DF until real reviews are in a few months after release. I don't trust blizzard anymore. They just disappoint relentlessly and I'm tired of being let down. It's sad when players like myself resort to playing an OLD ASS VERSION OF THE GAME! Smfh
Let's be honest here, it was WoW that ruined Blizzard, it was way too easy money for a subpar MMO compared to the quality their previous games had.

People don't wanna fight mid in AV anymore because they want to rush shit. It's a race now everyone has this gimme gimme attitude. They'll bitch about epic battlegrounds taking too long yet they'll shut the fuck up and sit in a raid for hours. I was hoping by playing classic that people would fight in mid in AV but nope it's the same mentality. The game CAN be awesome if there wasn't assholes like that ruining the game. Don't get me wrong blizzard drops the ball in a lot of areas. But the players have some credit in fucking up the game. That's my two cents
been playing wotlk classic and it's boring as shit, I don't get what people like about it. Clearing all the raids half asleep, the game got way too casual.
@@Tseyman people like you are the reason why casual players can't enjoy the game. Not everything needs to be as hard as mythic+. We play the game because the story was way better than the shit show it is now. We play it because you can quest anywhere instead of the game forcing you to quest certain areas and you don't have everything handed to you on a silver platter. We play this game because it's blizzard's last expansion before shit started going downhill not only in quality with game play but it was before the community got toxic ASF. If you like mythic shit that's fine but wrath is still way way WAY better than current retail

Most of these guys seem to be forgetting that while this games "easy" and "old" for them after 15+ years- alot of people that didn't do much in wrath, or are new to the game consider this stuff new. It's like being an experienced Forklift driver, seeing a newbie pop up getting trained on the controls, and making fun of them midway and saying "Just drive the forklift idiot it's not that hard- they've been around for 20 years- it's so easy!"
