Typically if you’re immortal, the understanding is that you’ll live forever…you’ll heal from injury, no diseases, etc, but the downside is that you’ll see your love ones come and go because you’d outlaw I’ve everyone. I’d still say yes because I can build and amass a fortune that would also last you a lifetime and you could do some serious good with it. 🤷🏽♂️ However, if you’re immortal but still can suffer injury and not recover from it completely, then what’s the point really. 😆

A good story for reference would be the Sandman comic book story by Neil Gaiman ("Men of Good Fortune", issue 13) where a dude named Hob Gadling made a deal where Death won't go for him. So he doesn't die, and lives for centuries, but even if you don't die, the world around you changes, so you would still be affected by whatever is happening around you: war, slavery, etc. There were points in time that Hob was living the life, rich and fortunate, but there were also points where he was living in poverty and he was scrounging for food (he mentioned that he feels starvation, but doesn't die, which to me would be totally awful). Also, and while he continues to live on, he is around for when people close to him (his wives/children) die. So a big NO for me.
I remember Tuck Everlasting great book and movie. Immorality is a gift and a curse either way you look at it. But it's only a gift if you learn from your mistakes keep close whats important and pass your knowledge to others.
