- Getting off blocks effectively before making the tackle. Showing proper hand placement and leverage to shed blocks.

If runner is going to my left. I use my left shoulder. Head behind. If runner going to my right I use my right shoulder. Head behind. Head behind is new teaching way.
My biggest mistake when tackling is I hesitate and wait to see what he is gonna do for example I will stop my feet and wait to see if he is gonna lower his shoulder and try to run me over or put his foot in the ground and do a juke move should I make my move first and not wait and make him react off of me?
i also do this but ur supposed to use something called a drive step so instead of fully sprinting and trying to make the tackle put ur near foot to his near hip slowing down slightly and then try n drive through
They need to ban leading with shoulder without arms forward to wrap!
