I really like how Jax's movement in the run animation allows for the "lion's maw" ornament on the chest to open and close, moving like a lion mask opening and closing its mouth

I love how his hand spins around too along with his staff during his E animation. It's not a detail you'd notice during the game, but it's still really neat.
The tekken yoshimitsu reference 👌
Dont forget the blade that comes from his right arm that does the auto attack while he is spinning his arm. That animation alone was enough to make me swipe my credit card.
I love how this is a straight up mecha and not just a champ but robot. I think his recall animation where he kneels before a mountain village and opening his torso sells the idea and size.
Best part of this skin for me is the little aircraft that fly around him in his homeguard animation
I wish they would make more kaiju skins, only urgot has one😢
it's part of the Shan Hai Scrolls line but Shan Hai Cho'gath?

I loved that you mentioned Jaximus here, because it was made for a Make-A-Wish kid who's favorite champ was Jax. so when you played him with that skin (or maybe it didn't matter if you had the skin) he would say in game "Here's to you, kid"
someone at Riot at some point had a heart, and that was one of the most wholesome things I heard from gaming company. I think all proceeds from that skin actually went towards Make-A-Wish.

Best part of this skin for me is that during his taunt he will announce his kills behind me. But once you got above 25 kills there will be just 'GG' visible.
I love all of Mecha Kingoms save for Draven. I just want to see the Kaiju side for this line.

The whole mecha kingdom skinline is underrated. They really can even put some fancy champ like Zyra and make it works.

I have this skin because of a crate/orb/rerroll. At first I was "eh, I prefer temple" but then I played with this skin, and it's amazing, 10/10 skin, my favorite for this champ. Also, I'm not that kin of mecha or robot skins unless they look amazing, that's why I love this skin so much
God Staff Jax really sells his God-Like fantasy and it makes you feel unkillable.
Honestly, best part in my opinion is how well they melded the visuals of the samurai style splint armor with architectural elements. It lends itself so well to the mechanic fantasy and really gives you the idea this isn't just a guardian, this is a piece of the temple itself that stood up and started kicking ass.
You just gave me some Mecha:PRIME PTSD

Imagine if Jax had a real weapon, and that weapon was a giant mecha version of himself. It's perfect.
For the past 5 years jax has been my favorite champion in the game, not only for his consistent strenght but also for the fact that despite his old model the skins make good use of it and all of his skins feel cool and unique from one another.
Okay but they way the incorporate the torso stretching into the design with the extending spinal section in the middle? Sooooo nice
It was a nice concept to not just have “characters as giant robots,” but also to make the setting ancient as well to make the concept particularly special.
And while we certainly could pick a good sum of characters that can work with the concept, they did pick a great one with Jax and allow him the chance to really shine. It might not happen often enough for older champs with older rigs to get some amazing skins but at least Jax was one of those exceptions.
The hand in e animation is rotating completely, great detail and completely agree with the video

When this was announced i bought it without any question..

I can't stress enough how the lion mouth in the middle carries the skin, it sells it with how well put together it is
The impact in his step with this skin… phew- that looks amazing.
This really does feel like a Pacific Rim mech
He’s Walk looks similar to Mordekaiser because of the Hefty weighty animation and the weapon he’s holding and how he’s holding it.
This costume is great but auto attacks feel clunky and so many times you cancle them thinking you attacked.
The animation for hitting lvl 6 really does it, also the stat tracker built in
To anyone who really likes Jaxx's design I'd say to check out the mecha splash arts of Lancer (the table top rpg)

I’m very glad you talked about his running animation. There’s a very specific robotic marching style that I’ve seen before, but don’t know how to describe, and it is captivating for a reason I can’t quite comprehend. Just this super bulky armor suit doing this very heavy march.

love the really flowy attack animations, sells the martial artist aesthetic a lot better than his original animations

No way, I’ve never used that skin so I didn’t notice the gnashing tiger maw in the walk animation. What a trip!
My personal favorite is God Staff, but this is a rather close second.

It also has the privilege of not having to follow default Jax's clunky ass animations which helps a lot.
any skin which has different animations in almost every move or basics is a good skin imo
i love this kinda battle hat, it may not be the most practical, but i love the style you can use with the hat.
it changes the headshape and gives an inhuman look to someone wearing it.
my favourite incarnation of it has to be ozen, in the battle armour she looks as monsterous as she is powerful

After watching the the review of mord and how his armour and shifts and moves each step to show the mere weight of it I’m such a sucker for that concept and this skin does a great job of that idea

One of my favorite parts of the Mecha Kingdoms skin line is actually the sound design. They all have the sort of bassy rumbles when they use abilities that are straight out of something like Pacific Rim and it also helps sell the size of them. Obviously Jax does it really well but Leona's skin also sounds great
I started playing Jax to beat some champs i found annoying in Mid, and once I got this skin's shard I don't think I can ever go back to Empyrean I was using before

Jax only wanted a sword...and they gave him a full jaeger, love it. Also the voice lines are just top tier as well as his taunt counting and changing with his kills...

Have you read Iron Widow? it's a book written by Xiran Jay Zhao and is basically a mecha AU version of the rise to power of Chinese Empress Wu Zetian

I never realized that Jax is the mecha instead of being in a mecha, which now makes more sense on why he has the best skin between the Mecha Kingdoms
Its also the only legendary one, so it supposed to be the best easily

You can saw that in his death animation, Jax eject himself of the Mecha, and also the voicelines mention that if I'm not wrong
The thing about Mecha Kingdoms is that regular champs take control of Mechas to defeat threats that are too big for them to handle.
Mecha Jax even says "Let's see what this big red button does!" when you ult as him lol.
By the way, in respawn and death animations, you can see a pod with real Jax either escaping the collapsing mecha during death or getting inserted into a new model during respawn
The fact that he grows damn wings, the reactor that starts flaming on his back with passive, and THE EMOTE WITH THE KILL COUNT AND THE FLEX.
After playing this skin you can't go back to play any other.
Even if i love both God staff and empyrean they feel too clunky.

Agreed. I've been a Jax player since before the dodge rework. This was one of like... 3 skins in the game that were an instant purchase for me. So good.

That mix of Mecha and traditional eastern aesthetic is very prevalent in an anime called Samurai Seven. It’s older anime but I still think it’s a really good watch if ya wanted a recommendation!
