Well man, QOTSA is back. Their new album "...Like Clockwork",IMO, is a MASTERPIECE. I'm sure you being a fan of them, should've already listened to their newest album in 6 years! Plus, Nick actually does a contribution to the album, in "If I Had A Tail", and perhaps another songs (which i'm not sure, but no one knows) and they were friends even after Nick's departure, but Josh didn't wanted to tell that they were still in contact after SFTD, it would screw things up. QOTSA still has it.
i did not know that nick is such a good acoustic musician, looks like his guitar skills are not very well^^ but the way he plays this song and his voice are really amazing!

woah woah woah, no, Josh got older so he realized he cant do so many drugs alcohol and stuff, the music is less agressive but who said thats bad, actually i think their new album is the best so far cause i love the dark melody in it. that and Josh wanted to do the album after his near death experience so thats why its kind of sad..

Agreed. I have a hard time fully getting into post Nick QOTSA. For me, it has nothing to do with popularity, the new stuff just doesn't hit me like before.

It's a shame to see such a talented guy decline into what he is now. QOTSA are still one of my favourite bands but Songs For the Deaf was made by Nick's bassline and there hasn't been a QOTSA album like that since. Unfortunately in the music business you've got to stomp on some people to get higher...

And this is the point when the friends come in. When your friend is full of alco & drugs and you fuck up, what you will do? A) You will help him to solve the problem and you reach the hand OR B) You turn him back and you´ll feel sorry, that you had friend like that... ohh qotsa makes good albums which are not the same. every qotsa album is different as the odler..so they give us new stuffs. and nothing missing. qotsa will be better band "album by album"

Neither was Bob Dylan and look at his following. You can be one of the crapiest guitar players and singers in the world but if you're a genius song writer it really doesn't matter. Nick wrote most of QOTSA's catchy shit with hooks. He technically is a genius in his own right. Josh is a joke... Era Vulgaris sucked ass. I bought the album hoping to god it would still sound as good as the stuff Nick helped come up with but it ended up being crap.
