This company's pedals look really interesting. Their White Whale reverb + tremolo pedal especially so. And I predict this new Crossfire pedal will sell well.

Great playing and video, as always! So, in your opinion, could this pedal go direct into Front of House through a DI box?
@D R E C O S T A Thanks, that is what i expected. I currently use a Tech 21 Fly Rig and am able to plug direct into the DI box. Its pretty straight forward and gives me good enough tones, but I am always pushing for more. This is probably not the answer for me.
@@charlesfarwell783 You just need a cab sim- get a cab box and then you can use any analogue pedal like this through it- and have multiple cabs to choose from. Joyo makes a really nice one where you get to choose what type of power amp emulation you want, what cab. to use, as well as mic placement. All you need is a preamp to run into it- like this one. Or- put a preamp at the end of your analogue pedal board and plug the whole rig in.

Asymmetrical makes it a BOSS OD1... and YES, I WAY prefer that too. TS pedals have always been WAY to soft and compressed for me. In a bright stiff amp it's probably welcome, so I see why high gain folks have loved it for so long. SRV used it as a treble clean booster. Gain off, tone and volume maxed.

I was on the fence about this pedal because I assumed it had a cab sim and was intended for DI- which I have nothing against, but I don't own that kind of equipment- I'm still playing a tube amp. It's a modern tube amp with digital emulation built in- but I don't use that feature, I use it like any normal tube amp. Which makes finding good preamps these days difficult- they're all made for DI.
I haven't seen the Revv for a while...has it been banished to the storage unit?

the "hair" in the breakup sounds a bit too artificial for me - its not a pleasing sound, too fizzly and not organic. Dont like it

Putting it on asymmetrical defeats the purpose of tubescreamer into blackface. A tubescreamer is symmetrical clipping.
