this guide actually had some misinformation I want to correct some:
1- onew vocal surgery was in early 2014 not 2015
2- taemin didn't get many lines early two years because he was still very young (14/15) and his voice was still developing, it was some nonfans who thought him not having many lines means he can't sing but he sang well he just was a young teen and his voice still developing so he didn't have many lines that's all
3-the guide had a line that ppl didn't know or realize the extent of Jonghyun depression, but he always was open about it and never tried to hide it or anything, I understand that who made the guide isn't part of the fandom and just casually follow the group, but fans knew he had seasonal depression & he always talked about how before he became an idol he had it. another thing the guide made the section about Jonghyun all gloomy and tragic without actually talking about him, his personality & his work much, but he is a bright person who loved to hype the crown n loved to be on stage more than anything, he also released many solo albums and had many solo concerts. He wrote songs not just for himself, shinee but a lot of other artists like IU & EXO
I want to clarify point 2... If my memory serves me right, during the iheartradio interview he did a little after Want was released, Taemin said that his inability to sing at that time is true. He mentions he had a line for Replay which had to be removed because he couldn't sing it, and that made him want to work harder and get lines. He's also mentioned in other interviews that part of the reason for that was because he did not get much vocal coaching during his trainee days due to his young age. SM was waiting for his voice to drop before formally teaching him (it didn't even drop thaaat much lol). And in a veeeeery old interview Taemin said he also had a lot of greed for learning how to sing during his trainee days because it was denied from him. There's a radio clip from 2010 (101018) where he talks that he'd go to the rooftop with Onew, and Onew would teach him (before they knew they'd be together in SHINee).
As for the guide itself, there's one more misinformation. It says SHINee took a year break after Jonghyun passed away. That's not true. They had the From Now On Concert just a few months after his passing... and continued to release TSOL not that long after in 2018. This period also coincided with the time of their contract renewal. They talked about it and decided that they wanted to continue to keep Jonghyun's memory alive.

Another one is - The original singer/songwriter of Rainy blue could sing again. He said he loved the performance by Onew and Taemin.
Overall, so many things could be included in a guide, but it can't be helped - a video can only be so long. I still prefer the individual member guides out there.
Just to clarify something about the time it took for SHINee to make a comeback after Jonghyun's passing. They did not take a year off, it was only a couple of months. SHINee had a Japanese concert scheduled in February before Jonghyun passed away. Even though his passing was still fresh, the rest of the members decided to do the concert because of the fans. The live footage at the end of the guide is taken from the same concert titled The Best From Now On.

I can honestly say I was SHINee fan from day 1! I was so happy when I got to see all 5 of them together. Even now thinking of jonghyun makes me cry

IU also has a song called eight which has symbols in her MV representing Jonghyun and Sulli who are no longer with is, i also recommend watching it with lyrics

I'm been with SHINee since 2009, I didn't really become as dedicated as I am now until about 8 years ago. Having depression myself it really hit me hard. But the members continue on and so shall I. Shawol forever. We just need to remember they're human and they deserve to be treated as such.
