- Transport in the Philippines is incredibly unique. Throughout my #BecomingFilipino journey almost every I have been there has been little variations in the way Filipinos will get around. Well in Montevista, Compostela Valley...
Skylabs are a local style of transportation!
At first glance you may think.... "Crazy! What the Heck!? That is Insane!". But when you need to travel on tough roads in the hills with a lot of gear and people... It really is the cheapest and best way to do so! Skylabs are essentially motorbikes that have big frames built around them. They look like a mini house on wheels!
The Driver and passengers balance out the weight and then take off driving wherever they need to go! At one point while I was riding one, the driver actually took us off-roading through mud and rocks! Grabe!

Motorcycles are absolute workhorse vehicles in many parts of the world that we Americans can never begin to understand. Much respect to these people for using what they have to get the job done.

yes it's good only if the roads are semented no dust but when it is bumpy and rainy it's terrible. Kulas you are such a wonderful foreigner to explore everything that is very much Filipino but I really admire you're trying to learn the dialect you can converse with the locals without difficulty

That’s so rad! I’m used to the tricycle with riders hanging off all around and top load but this is just an artistic option of transport that I’m sure gets the rider’s energy and optimism completely pumped up. So cool to think of a ride to a destination that can actively give you a psychological boost. PLUS ITS JUST LOOKS FUN!!!

Yea cause japan made is durable and the engine is genuine that give u a satisfaction power.. Would last for a long time if know how to take care of your motorcycle

Terisabamed, "Langgam" in Cebuano/Bisaya dialect is a "Bird" don't get confused, Ibon is a Tagalog dialect...
