Bert has the exact opposite affect.
Sickler is my high school replacement for Seth Rogen. Love both their laughs, but I grew up and life gave me sickle cell when I was ready to appreciate him. And all our appreciation maybe let that higher power let him stay with us. Or whatever suits your spirit shit. But on earth, this man is a legend. Humble, learning and teaching. Saw him in Grand Rapids just before his taping. First comedy show, so happy to start here... got to find out what somethin' was.
I've heard sickler recite this story about 4-5 times now to the point where I know it by heart, and I'm here for it

Wow! The difference in the comments between his podcast and him appearing on others is astonishing. I've never understood the hate he gets...even with 2 Bears. Yes he can be a lot, but he's one of the sweetest and most helpful comics out there. He comes up in conversations between other comics on podcasts and gets nothing but love from his peers. He sells out arenas so obviously has a huge fan base. What I find funny about some of those trolls is I'll see the same names pop up on all the different podcasts Bert appears on sharing their rude comments. Call me crazy, but if I don't like someone, I'm not gonna go out of my way to watch all his content. Keep killing the game Bert! Love you and Ryan ❤
I found out I have Factor V last year when I had a pulmonary Embolism. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and almost died myself. Fortunately for me, I had my own room. Glad you pulled through Ryan, and have a great story to tell for it.

When my father was in the hospital dying from cancer at night the hospice nurse that was cool with me smoking weed around back asked me to join her with an old guy about to die from lung cancer and he didn't want to be alone so we both held his hands. Special people those nurse's

Ryan is one of the best story tellers of all time
I got blood clots in August. Suffered for a week at home because my wife was on cruise. She came home and took me to the emergency room. She spent every day with me. She told my story over and over because I couldn’t keep it straight. Thank you for sharing your story Ryan. People ask for help from loved ones and friends. You need an advocate in the hospital.

God I love that Sickdawg laugh.
I found out that I had factor 5 liden about half way through my senior year of high school. I also had a thing called thoracic outlet syndrome which is where your top rib is to high in your body and it and your collar bone pinch off the blood vessel in your shoulder. I missed a month of school so I could get my right top rib removed, three muscles that attach to it, and the blood clot that it created. So thank you Ryan Sickler for talking about this and bringing more attention to this condition.

I used to be a paramedic. Got a call at the high school, injury to football player (at practice). The coach met me and said the kid was in the locker room, he got kneed to the balls and mom is on her way. I'm thinking to myself, how am I going to handle this with a 17 year old kid (I was old enough to be his mom). I walked into the locker room and he's sitting on a bench on the other end of the locker room. "Hey. My name is Carol and I got called out here because you got hurt.' He nodded. "So, have you looked at your injury?" "Yes" (in a tense, painful voice). "Is everything in the same place as it was this morning?" Again a painful yes. "Ok, the coach said your mom is on her way. Do you want to go to the hospital with your mom or do you want to go in the ambulance?" "Mom" "Ok, I'm going to get an ice pack." He looked at me with fear. "No, I'm going to let you put it in your pants, you know where it hurts the worst." He sighed and nodded his head. I went out to the truck and got a ice pack. As I was going back into the locker room mom showed up. I told her what was going on and that I felt he needed to get checked out at the hospital. I did let her know that I hadn't done an exam because I didn't want to traumatize him. Poor kid, i couldn't just walk in and say "Drop your pants and let me examine you".

Hey Big Boy is my favorite special. Then Secret Time. Razzle Dazzle had a lot of what I saw on the Relapse tour, so it was fun to see how the jokes evolved to their final form, but live, he told a joke about when his dog Pricilla died and a guy who came to get her body - wish that would have been included. Still a good special, but I like the last few just a little more. Razzle Dazzle *does* feel different, though.

please keep an eye on your back, my friend has Cauda Equina Syndrome, she was 27 at the time she bent down to pick up her baby and her she went numb waist down,pee'd herself immedietly and had to have several surgerys because of it and now has a pain stimualtor in her to help with the pain and has to have surgery every few years to change the battery pack and remove scar tissue from it and she can walk but her left leg is still numb. she is 48 now. PLEASE get the surgery before something like this happens.
