Absolutely. "A man might be thought wealthy if someone were to draw the story of his deeds, that they may be remembered."
I love the cultural relationship between Ahmed and the leader of the party. Especially, when Buliwyf tries to grasp writing or when he's poisoned and looks to the Arabian poet to tell the story of his end. It's, ironically, poetic.

"Lo there do I see my father" in the rain and the music is one of the best moments in cinema I've ever seen.
I love the book. It describes a long journey from Greece to the north through the lands of the Volga region, where I am from. It's a pity that all these historical moments were not included in the film. Its the story that became a fairy tale where whales became dragons.🐋
My dad and I used to watch this movie when I was like 7 and it’s stayed with me always.
